Ed watched Lilly sleep in her bed. She had been sleeping for hours, but he didn't mind. He took a shower and ate something while he quietly waited for her to wake. Ed smiled the whole time and never frowned. He still had a tired look but never lost his smile as he stared at Lilly. Al walked in with some hot tea for him and Ed. He sat beside Ed in a chair that was beside Lilly's bed. Al smiled at how happy Ed was. Lilly moved a little and smiled but didn't wake up. Ed got excited.
"Did you see that!?! She's smiling! I wonder what she is dreaming about!?!" Ed said excitedly.
"Calm down, Brother. You'll wake her up." Al said laughing at Ed.
He's so happy now. It's good to see him smile. He has missed her so much. He can't wait for her to wake.
Ed drank his tea and watched Lilly. Suddenly, Lilly's eyes fluttered open. She peered up at the two boys. Both of them smiled at her.
"Lilly, I'm so glad your awake." Ed said trying to hold in his excitment.
"Where....where am I?" Lilly asked.
"Your home."
"Home... Right, I...I..." She sat up. "How did...? I am not suppost to be here." Lilly said looking at her body.
She was wearing her night clothes and had her hair down. Her bear was laying beside her.
"I brought you back. You want to be back, don't you?" Ed asked getting confussed.
Al took this as a clue to leave.
"I'm going to tell everyone that Lilly's awake." Al said leaving.
"Lilly you do want to be here, right?" Ed asked.
"It was so pretty there. I was...happy. But I remember being sad, too. Because..." She thought a moment. "Because you weren't there, but then I saw you. You looked so sad and alone. At first I didn't know who you were, then I saw that you wanted me to go with you, and I began to remember that I had..... I didn't want you to be sad. I wanted you to smile. I had to come to make you happy." Lilly said.
"I took you away from somewhere happy.... I took your happiness so I could be happy. I'm so selfish." Ed said almost in tears.
"At first I was sad that I was leaving, but then I remembered that I had fallen in love with you and I wanted to come. But you weren't the way you wanted to be, so I tryed to fix it. I got tired, though, so I wasn't able to finish the job." Lilly said grabing his human hand.
"My leg..." Ed whispered.
"I'm sorry, but for some reason I forgot how I did it, so I can't fix your arm." Lilly said looking away.
"Lilly..."
Ed reached for her and pulled her face to him. He caught her off guard with a kiss. Lilly was shocked at first, but fell into it after a few secounds. She let Ed slip his tounge in her mouth and explore her. Ed pulled her closer and wraped his arms around her body. Lilly pulled away, out of breath.
"Lilly, I have to tell you something. I wasn't able to tell you before. I...."
The door swung open and Mustang came in.
"Your awake!!!" He yelled.
All at once, everyone pilled in. Lilly laughted at how everyone pushed to get in. Ed was knock off the bed and someone said 'move out the way shorty.'
"Who are you calling short, you peanut brain!" Ed yelled out.
After everyone was in, Hawkeye put a birthday cake on Lilly's lap. Lilly looked up at Ed and Al with confussion.
"We thought that since you don't have a real birthday, we would make this day your birthday. This is the day you came home." Hawkeye said.
"Thank you!" Lilly screamed.
Everyone sung Happy Birthday to her and shared cake. Afterwards, Lilly got dressed and Ed asked if she wanted to go to the river with him to look at the fish. Lilly said yes. Ed took her hand and walked down to the river. Lilly blushed and decided not to hid it. Ed smiled and didn't say anything.
When they got to the river, Ed helped Lilly up a rock to sit on. He then sat beside her. He looked over at her. She is so beautiful and caring. Now that I know that she loves me, it should be easy to tell her that I love her back. But I'm so nervous.
"Ed, what is it?" Lilly asked as he stared at her.
"Oh, nothing." I have to tell her now. "Lilly, about what I was going to tell you earlyer."
"What about it?"
"Well, I want you to know that I...uh...I...what I am trying to say is..."
"Ed, someones on the phone for you!" Hawkeye yelled.
Lilly jumped off the rock and started back. She turned back around and looked at Ed.
"Comming?" Lilly asked and held out her hand.
"Yeah."
Ed jumped off the rock and took Lilly's hand. Lilly snuggled against him as they walked. Once at the Headquarters, Lilly stood by and watched as Ed picked up the phone.
"Hello? Edward Elric's speaking." Ed said.
"Ed..." A small voice said.
"Winry? What do you want?" Ed asked in a cold voice.
Lilly looked at him with confussion.
"Ed, please. I just want to say I'm sorry. I didn't know that she was going to get killed." Winry said and started to cry.
"I don't want to talk to you, besides it doesn't matter anymore. I've got Lilly back." Ed said.
"Ed, that's wonderful. How did you do it?" Winry said trying to make him see how sorry she was.
"I said I don't want to talk to you!" Ed yelled.
Ed went to slam to phone down, but Lilly caught it and took it from him and gave him an angry look. She put the phone to her ear and smiled.
"Winry? It's Lilly."
"...."
"I don't know what you did for Ed to treat you with such disrespect, but what ever it was, you don't deserve to be spoken to in such a manner. I apoligize for Ed's rudness. I hope that you accept it and come and visit soon. I would love to see you again and I know that you miss Ed and Al. As much as Ed won't admit it, I am sure he misses you, too. Hey, why don't you come over tommorow and we will get this strightened up. Alright? Well, I hope to see you soon!" Lilly said then hung up.
Winry hung up and stood there speachless. Do I go? I suppose I do owe her something and a sorry. I need to go tell her what I have done. Winry began packing.
After Lilly hung up, she gave Ed a cold stare.
"How could you, Edward!!!! She was trying to say she was sorry for what she had done and you blew her off! I am so ashamed!" Lilly yelled.
"If you knew what she did, you wouldn't be so forgiving or mad at me." Ed said calmly.
"I don't really care! When she comes tommorow, I want you to say your sorry. She is your best friend and stuck by you even before I meet you. You shouldn't throw a friend like that away! Be glad you have one!" Lilly yelled then stomped away.
I guess telling her I love her , isn't a good thing to do at the moment.

That night Lilly had a night-mare:
"Ed don't go! You won't come back!" Lilly pleaded.
Ed and Al were about to go on a mission than involved capturing a murder. Lilly was told that the murder was an Alchemist and very strong. She didn't know why, but she had a bad feeling about them leaving. She felt like they weren't going to return. She had been pleading with Ed since he had told her he was leaving. They were standing outside and Al was all ready in the car waiting for Ed. Ed pulled away from Lilly.
"Lilly, I have to go. I'll be fine, I promise." Ed said getting into the car.
"Ed! Please! EDWARD!!!" Lilly screamed as Mustang ran after her as she ran after the car.
Two weeks later, Mustang knocked on Lilly's door. Ed and Al were suppost to be home two days before. They were late. Lilly ran to the door, hopeing it was Ed or Al. Her smile faded as she opened it.
"Mustang. I was hopeing you were one of the boys. What's wrong?" Lilly asked as she saw his face was watering up. "Mustang, what is it?"
"Lilly, I'm so sorry..."
"No..."
"Both Ed and Al were murdered three days ago." Tears fell from his eyes. "We just found out."
"You lieing!!! Ed promised! He promised!" Lilly screamed and cryed.
She ponded on Mustang's chest and cryed.
"I'm sorry, Lilly." Mustang whispered as he stoped and embrassed her.
Lilly stoped hitting him and passed out with Mustang catching her and yelling for a doctor.
Lilly shot up from bed screaming and crying. Her eyes were glowing blue and when she relized she was in her room, she turned normal. Ed came running in and to her side. Lilly threw her arms around him. She didn't tell Ed she had a bad dream, she just cryed.
"I woke up with my necklace glowing, so I came to check on you. Then I heard you scream and started to run." Ed said stroking her hair.
"I was so scared. I was so scared."
"What did you dream about?" Ed asked as she cryed deeper into his chest.
"It was just a dream. That's all. Just a dream." Lilly said not wanting to tell him her dream.
Ed stayed with Lilly the rest of the night and fell asleep with her in his arms, but Lilly stayed up so she wouldn't have the dream again.
"Did you see that!?! She's smiling! I wonder what she is dreaming about!?!" Ed said excitedly.
