Lilly woke up the next morning as the sun hit her face. She sat up with the covers around her naked body. She looked around and saw no sign of Ed. She sighed then something caught her eye on the table beside the bed. She smiled. There on a try was a red rose and a note with breakfast beside it. She picked up the note.
Dearest Lilly,
I wanted to say good-bye to you this morning, but you looked tired from our previous night. (Lilly smiled as she thought of their first sexual incounter since the baby) So I let you sleep. I made you some breakfast and some milk. Hopefully it will still be warm once you wake up and the milk still cold. Rika woke up earlyer this morning and I gave her a bottle the put her to sleep. Don't cook anything untill I come home. I want to help. I left some money on the table down stairs incase you wanted to go into town today. Al and the others want to come over tonight to help make sure the house doesn't have any leaks or problems. Riza called earlyer and told me that she and Winry would be over as well to help watch Rika. Winry added that she would be over this afternoon to visit while Al and I do some paper work.
I'm watching you sleep right now and already I am missing you. Last night was wonderful just as all the other times have been. You look beautiful and peacful. I can't wait to come home tonight and have you in my arms while we watch little Rika together. The numbers to Cental are beside the money. Call me if you need anything, Lilly, no matter what it is. Please don't leave the house or yard untill Winry gets there then you two can go to town with Rika or whatever it is that you girls do. I love you with all my heart, Lilly. Tell Rika I said I love her too. I'll be home as soon as I can.

Lilly put the letter down and ate her breakfast. Just as she finished she heard Rika cry on the monitor. She put on her house coat and ran to Rika's room, feed her then let her sleep once more. Lilly then got dressed and went down stairs with the tray Ed had left her. She washed it and just as he promised, there on the table was money and the numbers. She smiled.

Ed waked into Central with his head high. His smile could be seen from miles away. He greeted everyone he saw as he made his way to Mustang's office. He knocked on the door after greeting Riza. Mustang called for him to came in and Ed did. He closed the door behind him and saw Al was also in Mustang's office. He walked up beside Al as Mustang began his long speech that Ed only listened to with half an ear. Once Mustang was done, he called for Riza to come in and along with her came three other people. They piled papers in Al and Ed's hands and once they were done, niether of the boys could see over the piles in their hands. Natually, Ed made a huge scene about having this much work while Al keep quit. Mustang only pushed them both out the door as Ed was still yelling over the piles of paper. Before either of the boys knew it, they were at a desk signing, reading, and writing papers. Ed grummbled under his breath while Al keep quit and worked.
Winry laughted at the door way then called back to them that she was leaving to go visit Lilly. Before she could even get out the door Riza busted out with a phone in her hand. Everyone's head shot up as Mustang ran out of his office.
"Lilly!!!" Riza cryed holding the phone to her ear. "Lilly don't hang up!!!"
Riza put the phone on speaker. Suddenly a cold chill of fear went down Ed's body. He could hear Rika's blood curling scream and Lilly's crys of horror.
"GET AWAY FROM ME!!!" Lilly screamed. "EDWARD!!! HELP!!!"
"LILLY!!!" Ed cryed.
Suddenly Lilly screamed in bloody murder and the phone went dead. Before anyone could breath another breath Ed and Al were out the door. Mustang, Riza, Winry, Armstong, and Havoc ran after them without hesitation.

Lilly ran as fast as she could. She clung onto Rika as she cryed. Her legs hurt from running so hard. Her left arm had a deep cut and her forhead had a small cut. She ignored the pain as she ran. All she knew was that she had to get as far away as possible. She didn't know how far he was behind her and she didn't bother to look. Rika cryed as Lilly held her tight to her chest. Lilly's body shook with pain and she knew it would give up on her soon. She had to keep going, thought. She couldn't risk him catching up. She had no deffence. She had no way of contacting help. So she had to run. She prayed that she could remember the way to Central as she ran along the road.
"Please, Rika....calm down or you'll choke....please....shhhhh....." Lilly whispered to Rika as she ran.
Lilly's tears where just as heavy. She didn't fear for her own life. She only wanted Rika to be safe. She only wanted her to live. Even if it ment giving up her own life. Rika's crys did not fad. She was scared and so was Lilly.
Lilly ran fast as she dress and hair flew behind her. The bottom of her dress was shreaded and covered in dirt when as feel as she ran out the door to escape his deadly hands and laughter. The blanket she had managed to wrap Rika in helped enough not to harm her while Lilly hit the ground. She can still remember triping and turning her body so she could land on her back and not on Rika. The pain was still there and running didn't help at all. Still, she ignored it and ran. She could see a car heading her way. She held Rika close to her body with one hand as she threw the other in the air.
"Stop!! Please stop!!!" Lilly cryed waving her bloody arm.
The car speed up then came to a sudden stop. Lilly didn't stop running. She watched as the dust cleared from the car when it slid on the dirt road and caused a dirt storm. Lilly put her and down and back around Rika's body. She ran faster hopeing that whoever it was would be kind enough to take her to Central. The dust cleared as a figure approach. Lilly didn't stop running. The figure was running too and soon Lilly could see that there were others running behind it. Her eyes were blurry with tears.
"Please, help me! I have to get to Central! My baby....she'd scared!" Lilly cryed as she came closer to the figure.
Suddenly the figure grabed her shoulders and pulled her into an embrass. Lilly shook her head.
"NO! I have to get to Central! My baby and I are in danger!" Lilly screamed and pushed whoever it was away.
"Lilly! It's Ed! I'm here!" Ed cryed and pulled her back to him.
Lilly's body stoped pushing and she focused hard on him. He wiped her eyes and Lilly could see his face.
"Ed...." She whispered. She pushed away from him again. She held Rika out so she could look at her face. She was fine. "Rika..." Lilly whispered thankfully.
"Lilly, what happened?" Ed asked pulling her back to him once again.
Then it hit Lilly.
"We have to go now!" She cryed. "He's coming and he's mad!" Lilly said shaking.
"Who? Lilly, who's coming?" Ed asked as the other's came beside him to look at Lilly and the baby to see if they are ok.
"Envy. He wants to kill me." Lilly said now out of breath.
Ed looked at Mustang and he nodded.
"If I know Evny, he's already hot on Lilly's trail. There's no time to get back to Central. Winry take Rika and Lilly to the car and stop her bleeding. The rest of you be on your guard and get prepared for a battle." Mustang said.
"I'm going with them to the car." Ed said, Mustang prepared to say no. "That's my wife and child. They need me." Ed said before Mustang could object.
Mustang nodded.
Ed walked with Winry and Lilly to the car. He helped Lilly in the jeep and took a deep breath of relief. Wirny took out a first aid kit and went to take Rika from Lilly so she could clean Lilly up, but Lilly turned from Winry and protectivly held Rika close to her. Winry looked at Ed for help.
"Let her help Lilly, you know she won't harm Rika." Ed said gently.
Lilly hesitated and handed Rika to Winry. Winry wiped Rika's tear stained face then handed her to Ed. Rika calmed down and stoped crying once Ed began to sing to her. Winry smiled, then began to work on Lilly's wounds. She wriped them up and dressed them then wiped Lilly face. Lilly still was crying but didn't seem to notice. Her tears fell on their own. Once Winry was done Lilly reached for Rika and held her close. She smiled and snuggled against Ed. Ed held her untill she fell asleep right after Rika did which was only seconds later. Ed layed her on the seats and asked Winry to watch her while he joined the others. Just as Ed arrived beside Al and the others, Envy and Gluttony showed up. Envy had a huge smirk on his face while Gluttony licked his lips.
"Do you like the little present I send you, Fullmetal?" Envy shouted to Ed.
"How dare you!!! She just had a baby! Not only did you put her life in danger, you put my baby's life in danger! You bastard!" Ed shoted as Al held him back.
Envy laughed.
"I told you that I would kill Lilly. And I meant it!" Envy shoted and charged forward.
Al couldn't hold Ed back anylonger. Ed transformed his hand into sword and charged forward too. Mustang then yelled out for everyone else to charge. No one wasted time. Gluttony went after Envy laughing. No one wasted time to start stricking.
