A Painful Realization

What we did was wrong,

We made a mistake.

For I did not know,

How much that door would take.

 

My sister, my friend,

Do you still love me now?

Or do you hate me?

If you don't I ask how.

 

I screwed it all up,

You almost died because of me.

On our bodies no longer flesh,

But glass and metal, hidden so know one can see.

 

My old childhood friend,

You're disappointed I know.

But instead of disappointment,

You let your anger show.

 

That strike, I deserved it,

I'm sorry to say.

I know why you did it,

You're loving that way.

 

I'll get us back to normal,

I promise you this,

And I can't break a promise,

To my own little sis.
