Chapter One: Once Bitten

Just another day so he thought. Just another meeting so he hoped. Although that's not what it was. First thing that happened when he walked into the Office he noticed that First Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye was sweating in her seat. He also noticed that Second Lieutenant Jean Havoc was chewing on his cigarette with a look of fear on his face. He was now curious what was going on. He checked his cell phone. 11 Am. He shrugged and walked up to his commanding officer's door and knocked three times with his right hand. The door opened quickly and a young woman with long black hair and ruby red eyes glared at him. He rose and eyebrow and frowned when she pulled him in and closed the door.

 

“Ah, Edward,” Roy addressed him. Edward looked back over his shoulder at the woman and then walked slowly up to his Commanding officer's desk.

 

“General Mustang.” Edward acknowledged him.

 

“Royivous, who is this kid?” the woman asked him and he sighed.

 

“Aqeivyanna, this is Edward Elric, The Fullmetal Alchemist,” Edward was beyond confused now. He looked back at Aqeivyanna and then at Roy.

 

“Royivous?” Was all Edward could say.

 

“Yes Fullmetal, my first name is Royivous,” Aqeivyanna sighed and walked up to Edward and looked him over.

 

“This is he? The one you want so bad you call me and interrupt my nap to come all the way to Central and take a look at him?” She asked and Edward turned bright red.

 

“What?” Edward asked in a sheepish voice. She grabbed him by the chin and looked at his neck then pulled off his overcoat.

 

“Hey!” he said as he grabbed at the lost item. She sighed again.

 

“Royivous you do know that he has Automail don't you?” Aqeivyanna told him as she looked at him with a placid face.

 

“I am well aware yes, can it be done?” Roy asked her.

 

“Hello I'm standing right here and I would like to know what the fuck you're talking about!” Edward shouted which caused Aqeivyanna to laugh.

 

“What a flame! His soul is strong, how old are you kid?” She asked him. He looked into her eyes.

 

“I'm not a kid! I'm twenty three years old!” he shouted at her. She laughed again.

 

“You have to be at least 5'8”, 5'9” at the most, Sorry Edward, I had to ask. And for your information, Royivous will inform you before he turns you I assume?” She looked over at Roy and he nodded.

 

“I give you my consent as your Sire to turn Edward Elric, Good luck Royivous,” She said as she bowed deeply and then left them alone. Edward stared at the door for a long time before he turned to Roy and gave him a glare.

 

“What is this about Roy? Did you tell all of Central that we are together?” He shouted at him.

 

“Calm down Edward, Aqeivyanna is an old friend and my Sire; I had to get her consent before I moved onto the next stage of our relationship.” Roy told him as he kissed him on the neck. Edward hadn't noticed him move over to him which confused him even more.

 

“Alright, you are going to tell me what the Fuck is going on!” Edward shouted at him.

 

“I'm a Vampire Edward,” Roy told him and Edward's eyes became wide as saucers.

 

“W-what?” He asked him to repeat it because for some reason it wasn't sinking in.

 

“I said I'm a Vampire, a blood drinker, a creature of the night,” Roy could have gone on but the look in Edward's eyes said enough. He understood alright and he was scared shitless.

 

“No fucking way, you can't be, Vampire's aren't real!” Edward shouted. Roy opened his mouth as to say something but when Edward saw his fangs, and his eyes turn red he was ready to bolt out the door.

 

“Edward, don't be afraid, I'm not going to hurt you,” Roy told him. Edward stepped back and then wiped his face with his hand. Laughter filled the room and it took Edward a while to find that it was his laughter he was hearing.

 

“Bastard!” Edward shouted at Roy.

 

“Edward, the reason I haven't told you before was because I was afraid I'd lose you,” Roy told him.

 

“<b><i>BASTARD!</b></i>” Edward shouted again.

 

“Ed, I want to turn you so we can live together forever,” Roy said softly. He could already tell Edward wasn't taking this too lightly.

 

“What if I said no,” Edward said almost inaudibly.

 

“Then I would respect that, eventually I will watch you turn old and die of old age,” Roy told him. Edward's amber gaze shifted to onyx.

 

“What if I said yes?” He asked with a smile on his face.

 

“Then you would live forever with me and we can watch the centuries pass,” Edward turned around and thought for a moment.

 

“What about Sunlight, It doesn't seem to be bothering you.” Edward asked.

 

“Sunlight doesn't hurt us, though you could be blinded for a month if you didn't wear sunglass until you're first new moon, but other than that it's just a myth.” Roy told him.

 

“Crosses?” Edward asked.

 

“Why would you want to be looking at those you're atheist aren't you? But no all the myths about Vampires are fake. Except having to drink blood and death by fire or dismemberment,” Roy told him.

 

“Can I eat normal food?” Edward asked him as he turned around to look at Roy.

 

“Yes, it's actually a necessity just not as often as humans, our bodies work normally but slower so we have to eat food.” Edward sighed and then smiled at Roy.

 

“Alright, I've made my mind up, I want this…” Edward told him.

 

“Are you sure?” Roy asked to make sure he heard him correctly.

 

“No, but really, what choice do I have?”
