Chapter 2

 

 

~~~People tried not to look, really they did, but they couldnt help it. It was like there was some invisable force that drew your eyes to the very good looking blonde walking down the streets. He wasnt overly tall, average in hieght around 5' 7. He was lean yet in a muscular sort of way, which people could spot underneath the white long coat he wore over a black tank top and loose fitting leather pants that hung low on his hips. Women drooled at that, as did some men. It was hard not to, cause although the young man was obviously male, he had this beauty about him that was like nothing they had ever seen, parts of him could even been mistaken for a girlish sort of quality if you wanted to. Like his hair. All that glorious blonde hair that hung all the way to his middle back in a loose ponytail at the middle of the back of his head. He had bangs that hung over the sides and a bit over his face, which did not cover the incrediably handsome face beneath it. God he was beautiful. Big wide gold eyes that shone like gold, straight but small nose and soft pink lips that smirked in a way that made people want to either jump his bones or faint. Yes he was an image to behold and, there were many who wished to behold him, up close and personal. To add to some of the feminine sort of things on him, he had earrings in one ear, the left, three, that added to that bad boy sort of look, that drew people to just stare at him. As for the young man? He paid little attention to those who stared boldly at him.

 

~~~Oh Ed was not stupid and he was not the unobservant type either. He knew people were staring at him, but hey always had, even when he was a kid, wether cause he had been short, hot tempered or followed by a huge honking suit of armor, Ed hadnt never been quite sure, but now? Well he wasnt stupid, he knew he wasnt bad looking and that he often drew the attention of many females as well as men, he'd gotten used to it, but he was always and I mean always on guard, ya had to be with all the enemies he had made over the course of his military career, even those in said Military. But for the most part he didnt pay much attention to the looks he got when walking in the city, unless he saw something not so friendly in them like the dumbass who was following him right now. He should of known, there was one in every bunch. Ed didnt show any signs of alertness or that he had seen or believed there was someone coming up close behind him, but he knew and he was ready for him. He took his hands out of his pockets and let them be at his sides. They were still incased in gloves but he had made a few changes over the year. Having had his automail taken from him severl painful times, he had learned he needed to be prepared for any emergency. So he had a small array tattooed on his flesh hand at the wrist, he could just clap his hand to any surface and perform alchemy if his metal arm was taken from him. It was a small tattoo in the dead center of his wrist, but hardly noticable if he took his gloves off anyway since it was THAT small, and it helped that he had the thing covered with a silver braclet that Al had given him for his 18th Birthday. He had learned that it didnt matter how big the array was, on his body it worked for some damn reason and thats all that mattered.

 

~~~As Ed knew, that man came up very close behind him till Ed was sure he could feel his foul hot breath at the nape of his neck. It sent angry shivers up his spine, which the dumbass probably took for a sign of pleasure, of intrest. Idiot. If he had been in front of Ed he would of seen the look on the blondes face, his eyes burned brighter and his hands clentched into fists at his side. Those golden eyes were not burning with any sort of passion or pleasure, but with anger and irratation. From behind the shivers had given the man a wrong sense of confidence. Taking it as pleasure he reached out and grabbed Edwards ass through his long white jacket and Ed stood stock still at that, his body tensed.

 

"Nice ass gorgeous, how bout we get better aquainted?" said the low mascluline voice behind him, as he continued to squeeze Ed's ass. Ed's body seemed to melt and become pliant, he smiled, not that the man could see it, but if he could have, he would of known it wasnt a happy smile, and that his eyes were not that of intrest in getting to know this man at all. Turning Ed's smile softened a bit. Just before he planted a fist dead center into the mans smug face. Lucky for him it was his flesh one and not his automail one. But damage had been done non the less. The man went down on his ass clutching his noise as it bleed after having heard a loud sort of snap in it, no doubt broken. He looked at Ed with fear and whimpers as he scooted away from a looming Ed glaring down at him.

 

"Asshole what makes you think that I wanted your attention? and who the fuck do you think you are to just grab some total stranger out of no where on his ass?" Ed growled at him and the poor man looked as if he might piss his pants.

 

"And besides Asswipe...if I had wanted to get better aquaited with ya, then it sure in the hell wouldnt of been YOU making the first move.....and besides...your too damn ugly for me...I got better taste than that." Ed replied sarcasticly and smugly as he turned and started to walk to where he was headed before. No one bothered to get in his way after that and some even scooted out of his way when he passed by.

 

~~~When Ed had finally gotten to HQ he found that Brigadier General Mustang had just left his office. So Ed decided to wait for him and stood at the edge of the reception desk bent over just a bit with hands braced at the edge, talking and frankly flirting with the cute brunette man behind it. Ed had discovered long ago that he wasnt particular one way or the other, he liked BOTH female and male attention, he just didnt do it in front of Al, who had accepted it but still got a bit freaked out when he saw his brother flirting with guys. The brunette recuite was laughing at something he had said and Ed was laughing as well, so niether of them noticed when two highly decorated and high ranking officers passed by. Not till Ed felt a hand lightly brush across his leather incased ass, Ed had taken off his coat and had it hanging from his shoulder the one that the automail was attached to, not that he was trying to hide it, it was just something he did when in public and it got hot.

 

~~~Ed whirled around and punched the man who had dared to touch something that did not belong to him. He didnt hear the gasps of surprise as he loomed over the now fallen man holding his cheek as Ed yelled and glared at him.

 

"For Fukes sake what the hell is wrong with people in this city?!..is everyone a damn pervert and what the hells so interesting about my ASS?!!" Ed yelled, it wasnt till the downed pervert said his name that Ed realized who in the hell he had just hit.

 

"FullMetal?" came the surprised voice of Brigadeir General Mustang, as he was being helped up by his companion.

 

"You ok Roy?" came the amused tone of now General Meas Hughes.

 

"Colonel Mustang?" Ed responded with a sheepish grin on his face, not that he regretted hitting the pervert. The nerve of the man thinking he could just TOUCH someones ass like that.

 

"Thats Brigadeir General Mustang now Ed." came Hughe's very amused tone of voice, as he tried hard not to laugh out right. Hughes was of the same mind, Roy shouldnt have touched someone like that in HQ, let alone the infamous FullMetal Alchemist, not that either of them had known it was Ed, still you didnt go around groping people like that without consequences, no matter who you were .

 

"Hey Hughes...hows it hanging?? long time no see." came Eds reply as he reached out and shook Hughes hand in greeting, totally ingnoring Mustang, who was staring daggers at Ed.

 

"Sure has been...my Ed you sure have changed alot....gotten taller I see" Hughes replied as he smiled and held up his hands to ward off any temper tantrum over his assesment that he wasnt Short anymore. He was surprised when Ed didnt have one, a tantrum I mean.

 

"Dont worry bout it Hughes...I know I was short back then...but I aint now so no worries k?" Ed stated with a warm smile, and chuckled when Hughes let out a relieved sigh, thankfull that he wouldnt be hurt by the now taller FullMetal Alchemist.

 

"Excuse me for interrupting this lovely reunion..." came the sarcastic and cold voice of Mustang as he glared at both men, as he rubbed his cheek where he'd been hit one last time before letting his hand fist at his side.

 

"You do know that hitting a superior officer can get you thrown in the brig, dont you FullMetal?" Roy added with a smug look on his face, anger still staring holes into Ed for the hit. And of course the embarrasment of it having happened in the middle of the entry hall of Headquarters.

 

"Ya well did you know that sexual harrasment can get ya demoted oh mighty Brigadeir General Mustang?" came Ed's cocky reply. Roy raised an eyebrow and looked at Ed as he didnt know what he was reffering to, that made both Ed AND Hughes laugh.

 

"I have no idea what your speaking of FullMetal." came Mustangs cool response. The smug look off but the anger in those black obsidian eyes never left. Before Ed could say anything Hughes cut in.

 

"Now now...Edward just got back...so dont you think we should go to your office Roy? So we can catch up and talk in a more comfortable....and private setting?" Hughes said as he looked around at the soldiers who had stopped to see the spectacle they were making. Both Mustang and Ed noticed this and just grumbled as they both turned towards the stairs that would lead to Roys office. Mustang didnt say a word when Hughes fell back and walked behind to chat with FullMetal as he led the way to his new offices.

 

~~~As Hughes showed Ed picture and picture upon picture of his daughter Alicia, Roy mentally thought of Edward. When he had seen that ass incased in low hip hanging leather, with long blonde hair swinging above it, Mustang had thought it was a female. Not that that really excused him of what he had done. He had had no right to actually touch said ass. But in his defense it had been sticking out there, as its owner had been slightly bent over the reception desk. It had been too tempting and before he knew it, his hand had just moved of its own accord. (kinda sounds like Miroku, hehe) Now that he knew it was FullMetal's ass he had dared to touch he cringed inwardly. Why did it have to be him? If it had been a woman then he was sure that he could of gotten out if it by flashing a smile and an apology, with a few flirty and sultry looks, hell even if it had been any other male he would of done the same and probably been forgiven, he had been known to date both men and women, it wasnt uncommon in the military or the state for that matter, but groping FullMetal? Roy inwardly groaned at that. Why did it have to be FullMetal? And when the hell had the tiny hot tempered shrimp gotten taller and even more beautifull than he had remembered? Whoa! Beautifull? Edward? FullMetal? When had Roy began to think of FullMetal as beautiful? Well ok he had thought Ed had been cute and rather handsome when he was younger yes, but even he wouldnt have stooped low enough to molest a child, not even in his mind. But now? Well Edward was no longer a child now was he? Hmmm, and he wasnt short either, in fact he pretty much reached Roy's hieght, although Roy himself was about 2 inches taller than him. And frankly, FullMetal was one hot peice of male flesh, espcially with that tight little ass and all that golden blond hair spilling down his back. When had Ed stopped wearing it in a braid he wondered, but didnt complain, he rather liked the new look, especially the earings.

 

~~~Roy was in his musing to deep that he hadnt noticed that both Hughes and FullMetal had grown silent behind him. Ed looked confussed and Hughes? Well Hughes had a huge grin upon his face. He knew his friend well, and if Meas was correct, Roy was about to get himself into a whole lot of hot water and he couldnt wait to watch the fireworks.

 

~~~It didnt take long to get to Mustangs new offices and Edward was glad to see alot of old faces, who were eagerly glad to see him back as well. Hawkeye, who commented on how tall and handsome he was, Havoc who joked about his inablity to joke about Ed shortness anymore but said that he was now old enough to go drinking and clubbing with them, Fury, who just looked up at Ed shyly, now that he was shorter than Ed and had never really been a talkative to begin with, and it was common knowledge that Fury was a bit on the gay side, not that it had many any difference to anyone, and it still didnt to Ed, actually Ed enjoyed seeing the blush on Fury's cheeks when Ed winked at him or said some flirty little thing. As for Farman and Breda they teased Fury about his crush and laughed at Ed's antics. Fury took in in good humor, used to the way Farman and Breda often teased him, and knowing that Ed wasnt being cruel to him, just playfull. (Can Anyone please tell me if its Farman or Falman and who the heck is he really? is he the silver spikey haired guy? and who is Breda? and whats the name of the guy who helps Ross bodyguard the Elric brothers?)

 

~~~All this teasing and flirting was not going unnoticed and was certainly not appreciated much by one Roy Mustang. Hughes thought as he spied Roy secretly eyeing Ed on several occasions. Roy was good at hiding his thoughts and feelings from everyone including himself, but Hughes wasnt an intelligence officer for nothing, he had a knack for seeing underneath peoples veneer. And being Roys friend helped to cath the sublte way Roy would get a big angry when Ed flirted with Fury and how Havoc, Falman and Breda talked about taking Ed out to a bar and scoring some chicks on the weekend. Although no one noticed said changes in Roy's appearance, Hughes was not stupid and he would swear that Roy was actually jealous, and didnt like the thought of Ed being with anyone.....other than Roy himself that is. Oh this was going to be sooooo good Hughes smirked to himself. Thinking about all the fun it was going to be watching Roy try to seduce FullMetal and how Ed would react to that.

 

 

 

 

A/N~okies theres chapter 2, now dont get mad but from here things are going to pick up and go a bit faster, I had meant this as a one shot really but things happen and junk, but I want to get to the juicier stuff and to the thick of the story, so I apologize if the story goes faster from here on in, I dont plan this to be a very long fic, since those tend to get me in trouble and and waaayy to long, lol. huggles and smiles Mija..:-)
