“Could you two…umm…stop please. Really, it's getting…”
But they didn't stop. Olivia could see Johanna's discomfort and grinned at it.
“Go next door. To the right.” Greed murmured from Olivia's neck.
The door closed quickly behind Johanna.
“Finally, God I thought she'd never leave.” Greed growled sliding his hand down her inner thigh.
“Yes, now I want my Envy back.” Olivia said sitting up.
A soft white glow fell over Greed's body and suddenly, in his place sat Envy. He kicked the small table into the door with a loud thud.
“Now where were we?” he said with a wide grin.
“Envy…” Olivia said holding his cheek. Envy touched her hand and frowned.
“What is it? Don't tell me you prefer that hideous form I was just in.”
“No.” Olivia said, Envy kissing her fingers, “But you do remember the other reason I came here?”
Envy stopped. He grunted in disgust and stood with a sneer.
“Oh yes, the `fullmetal pipsqueak'” he scoffed, “Why you have dealings with that rodent I don't know.”
“Envy, don't mix yourself up with my issues.”
“You know I could kill him right now, and there's no reason I shouldn't.”
“Envy.”
“Besides,” Envy said transforming into Edward Elric: The Fullmetal Alchemist.
“Envy.”
“I'm sure he'd be fun to kill.” what seemed to be Ed said in a laugh, hissing in Olivia's ear.
“Envy!” Olivia said firmly, “don't.”
Envy put his hand on his hip and transformed back into himself keeping a smirk bright upon his lips. “I'm bored.” He finished. Olivia stood as she her a thud coming from the right room and chuckled.
“Kimbly's good fun….” She said walking over to the wall closet to the right room, “I wonder what their doing.” Olivia put her back to the wall and sighed.
“Something like this.”
A perfect reproduction of Kimbly slammed against Olivia and held her arms in place. They smirked at each other knowing well what they could get into. Envy appeared in Kimbly's place and Olivia kissed his cheek. He grinned but then rolled his eyes, and his grin wilted into a very irritated sneer. He let go of her and fell back onto the couch, his arms folded behind his head, and eyes closed.
“Go see your precious Fullmetal.” He mocked.
Olivia frowned and the grinned slightly. She moved the table blocking the door and went out into the hallway.
There, sitting on the ground in a curled in a ball was Johanna. Her breathing was rapid and short, Olivia could tell she was crying.
“Ugh…it wasn't that bad…” Olivia scoffed knocking on the Elric's door. There was a thud and a clang of metal and a light “Sorry…” could be heard from beyond the door. To this, Olivia smiled. Same old Elrics' she thought. The door opened and a giant metal suit of armor stood in the doorway. Olivia gasped and bit her lip.
“Brother!”
The voice shot through Olivia's ears like a burning bullet.
“Al…Al-phonse…is that really…” Olivia stuttered covering her mouth. A tear rolled down her fingers and cheek. She gasped again and wiped her tears.
“Hey Al...Alphonse.” she said looking at him, “Wow…”
“Wait a second.”
The new voice was recognizable immediately.
“Edward!” Olivia cried.
“Al don't be rude let our guest in.” Ed said.
“Oh yes, please come in!” Alphonse said moving out of the doorway.
“Edward you look just the same! Or, have you gotten a bit taller?” Olivia said grinning.
“It's the shoes.” Alphonse said jokingly.
“Shut up Al” Ed laughed. Olivia smiled. They really were the same old Elrics'.
As tears began to burn behind her eyes she embraced Ed and laughed. His arms wrapped around her body and Olivia's warm feeling fled. She stepped back.
“My, my…” she said touching his mechanical arm gently, “I heard that you all did a great deal of damage to yourselves. But…” Olivia bit her lip and laughed quietly, “I mean I knew…what happened…but I didn't…expect…umm…”
“It's ok Olivia, it is kind of odd.” Alphonse said, “This is the first time you seen us in a long time.”
Olivia turned towards Alphonse and smiled. “That is you Alphonse.” She touched the cold empty suit of armor, “The warmth in your voice. I remember that.”
Edward smiled grimly.
“Hey Al could you wait outside for a second, I—“
“It's alright brother, I understand.” Al said interrupting Ed's comment kindly
“Hey Al.” Olivia said. She stared at him for a moment and then smiled and hugged him. “It's been really nice seeing you again.”
“You too Olivia.” He said. She could tell he was smiling, it was in his voice. This made her want to cry but she held back.
Alphonse clunked out the door and into the hallway leaving the two alone. There long, deep was a silence somehow, not awkward in the least. Olivia smiled and smirked at her old friend. She circled him once, Ed smirking the whole time, and gave a nod of approval. The two laughed and then another silence.
“Edward,” Olivia said breaking the silence, “I, never really wanted to move away.”
“I know that Olivia.” Ed replied.
“You and your brother meant and still mean the world to me Ed you know that right?”
“I know Olivia.”
“And I'd never really try to hurt you.”
“Unless I wanted you to.” He grinned. Olivia was a bit taken back by that statement. She huffed and smiled.
“Why Edward Elric, you just as charming aren't you. What are you? 17 now? Going on 18 perhaps?”
Ed scratched the back of his neck and chuckled. “Yeah something like that.” He replied.
“You know there's a lot of fun to be had at seventeen Elric.” Olivia commented with a dark grin.
Ed's smile grew soft as did his bright golden eyes.
“You left so suddenly,” he said in a laugh, “I was going to ask you that marry me that day.” Olivia smiled.
“Well I would have graciously accepted Edward.” Olivia said embracing him once more, this time kissing his cheek. She felt Ed smile and went to break the hug, but Edward held her in place.
“Liv,” he said, squeezing her tightly, “You just left without saying goodbye.” Olivia smiled and hugged him back. He felt just like he did long ago. So warm and kind.
“I'm sorry Ed, I had a lot of —“
“And then a few nights later we tried to bring Mom back.”
“Ed…” she sighed.
“Before we left town I saw something coming from your house Olivia, a blue light, and I knew it had to be alchemy.”
Olivia's heart sank to her feet. She tightened her grip and closed her eyes. Don't ask me Ed. Don't ask me…she thought.
“Olivia did you really leave that day?”
“You know how my parents felt about Alchemy Ed. I wasn't even allowed to play with you. I snuck out all the time. Why would they want an Alchemist as a daughter?”
“You could have come live with us.” Edward said quietly.
“Don't worry about it Ed, I got along fine by myself and you and your brother did too.” She said rubbing the bridge of her nose into Ed's neck.
“Mother wanted me to make sure you were ok. She told me that you were like my sister and that me and Al were supposed to protect you if anything bad happened, but I never understood until we left how much we should have done.”
Olivia kept a shallow breath and sniffed, holding the militia of tears back.
“Edward I've known everything about you since then.” Olivia said, “I've seen you do some amazing things. I mean Alchemy without a circle is very impressive.”
“I'm sorry Olivia, please forgive me.”
“Ed!” Olivia laughed and stepped back to look at Fullmetal, He had a guilty smile on his face, “Has that been bothering you all this time? You have so many other problems to deal with. With the uprising of Homunculi and all the insane things that have happened at Central and —“
“What do you know about Homunculi?” he asked gravely.
Olivia held her breath for only the slightest moment, but Ed noticed it and asked again. Olivia still said nothing but sighed and tapped her fingers together.
“I'll see you again Ed.” She said.
“No, wait. I'm sorry.” He said grabbing her hand.
“Edward I have to go now, I'll see you again, don't worry.”
“You're leaving without saying goodbye again.” He smiled.
Olivia smiled as a few tears traced her jaw. Ed dropped her hand and she hugged him once more. As they let go Ed kissed her cheek. Olivia grinned and kissed him firmly on the lips. Edward pulled her into another kiss, this time slowly moving down her neck. Olivia held his neck, bit her lip, and smirked. It had been a very long time indeed since she and Ed had been alone. His mechanical arm quietly slid down her back while his tongue flicked against her shoulder. Olivia moaned slightly when he kissed her chest.
“Ed.” She said weakly, “I really should get going now. I'm not even supposed to be here.”
“Oh come on Liv,” Ed purred in her ear, “I haven't seen you in forever.” He slid his mouth over hers, his tongue breaking the crease of her lips. Olivia indulged in this for only a slight moment, for there was a large bang on the door. The two ignored it at first, but the knocker was persistent.
“Hey Fullmetal!” a sinister voice called. The door opened with a kick and in stepped Envy wearing one of the most malicious grins possible.
