Fullmetal Alchemist Fan Fiction ❯ Lonely ❯ Angels, Gods, and Bees ( Chapter 6 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

I'm very sorry about the long delay in updating. I was sick with a cold and was unable to type. Thank you so much to all who reviewed this fic. Here is Chapter six of “Lonely” and please remember: This is my second FMA fic. There are a few warnings: Winry bashing, Al OOC, Ed OOC, and this will be an Ed/Roy pairing. This fic switches POV back and forth between Ed and Roy. Some chapters with have both, some only one. I don't own FMA but this original story is mine.

There is also a color key.

Black: Author's notes and other people speaking.
Black with * means random noises.
Blue: Roy (Both thoughts and speaking in and out of POV mode)
Red: Ed (Both thoughts and speaking in and out of POV mode)
Now without further ado, here's the story. Enjoy and thank you for your patience.

Lonely

Oh my God! Edward, you poor abandoned soul! No wonder you looked so sad! How could they do this to you?! I thought I was mad at Al and Rockbell before, NOW I'M PISSED! HOW DARE THEY! Now the regret, or should I say guilt, in Al's eyes and face made sense.

“Come here,” I said as I picked up Ed and the bear. I hold the shaking blond in my arms and rock him like a baby. He holds me like a lifeline, most likely afraid that if either of us lets go, he'll be back in that HELL and everything was just a dream.

“Don't be afraid,” I whisper to him, “I'll always be here for you. You want to eat now or a little later?

Fullmetal stops crying and says, “Let's eat together, with an adorable small smile. So we ate everything on the tray.

Last night, after checking what size Ed was while looking at his completely tattered clothes, I had bought him a better wardrobe. When I showed them to him, he was in complete awe.

“All of these are for me? he squeaks, still holding his bear. After all that happened, I understand why he keeps toting the bear he named “Sunbeam” around. I told him about going to a party today. What Ed doesn't know is that it's a surprise bash for him! I dressed in a black velvet suit with silver trim and a musketeer-like jacket. Ed was dressing in his room and I have no idea what he's going to wear. I'm in my room right now.

*Knock knock*

“Come in, I say as I fix my tie.

The door swings open and Ed walks in. He looks fantastic! He's wearing the same suit as me on his is pure snow white with gold trim. He even took his hair out of the braid and let it fan out around his head in golden waves. Forget fantastic, he looks simply divine! A perfect, golden angel!

“Do I look okay? he asks meekly. His modesty makes him look even more angelic.

“You look great, Edward,” I said as I wrapped my right arm around his shoulders. He blushed a bright pink at the comment. The only things he needs now to pull off the full “angel look is a pair of snowy wings and a halo!

Wow! Roy's really complementing me. I've hardly ever got that for a long time. He looks fabulous! Looking handsome, dangerous, and regal. Like a noble king in Paris or something.

“Ready to go? he asks me. That voice, it almost hypnotizes me. Screw the “king idea, he's a god!

“You bet,” I reply. I'm glad that I'm standing next to him. For some odd reason, I feel very light headed. My heart is fluttering in my chest and I have butterflies in my stomach. We walk to the car with his arm around me. We walk into the car and got buckled in. Then the car drove off.

Where are we going, Roy?” I asked. We seem to be speaking less formally to each other since he took me home. I'm grateful for that because it really takes the edge off.
“It's a surprise, he smiles back at me. His smile is as big and warm as the summer sunshine. His amazing voice nearly hypnotizes me a second time as it causes the light-headedness, fluttering, and butterflies to return.

*Buzz! *

I'm brought back to reality with a buzzing noise. I look away from Roy and see a bee buzzing around! I HATE BEES! I'M TERRIFIED OF THEM! I scream and grab Roy. Great, he must think I'm a real loser.

First Edward screams, then he grabs me. I look up and see a bee. Damn! I hate bees! I hate wasps even more but winged insects that sting aren't that great in my book. I order the driver to stop the car so we could let the bee out. We all get out of the car and the bee flies away. Good Riddance! I look over at Edward, who looked embarrassed and ashamed. Like a little kid you screamed at his own shadow. I give him a hug.

It's okay, said as I cuddled him, I don't like bees either. I like honey but, not bees.

He looked up and smiled an adorable smile. We got into the car and drove to our destination.

TBC! Next chappie is longer! Ja ne!
