Fullmetal Alchemist Fan Fiction ❯ Lonely ❯ The Party and Confusion ( Chapter 8 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

This is my second FMA fic. There are a few warnings: Winry bashing, Al OOC, Ed OOC, and this will be an Ed/Roy pairing. This fic switches POV back and forth between Ed and Roy. Some chapters with have both, some only one. I don't own FMA but this original story is mine.

There is also a color key.

Black: Author's notes and other people speaking.
Black with * means random noises.
Blue: Roy (Both thoughts and speaking in and out of POV mode)
Red: Ed (Both thoughts and speaking in and out of POV mode)
Now without further ado, here's the story. Enjoy!

Lonely

After we got back in the car, I blindfolded Ed.

“Why do my eyes need to be closed?” he asked

“We're going to your surprise,” I explained as I wrapped an arm around his shoulders.

He started to look confused, which looked really cute, and said, “Wasn't the play my surprise?

“Well,” I grinned, “It was only part of the bigger surprise.

“Oh, okay! he chirps as he leans into me.

WOW! First a play, now a second surprise! I wish I didn't have to be blindfolded because I like being able to see Roy but at least I can still feel him. He's so warm as he wrapped his arm around me and I leaned into him.

“We're here, Ed, he says, breaking the mesmerizing spell I was under.

He holds on to me as we walk into, I think, is a building. He shushes what, I think, is a group of people. The blindfold comes off and I'm in a bright room with almost all of the people I met from my travels!

“SURPRISE!” they yell, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDWARD!”

I was so moved! Roy planned a surprise birthday party for me!

“Thank you all so much! I happily cry.

I mingle with an assortment of guests, including the Hughes family, Kyle and his family from Youswell, Dr. Marcoh, and my teacher, Izumi Curtis. Then I saw two familiar faces in the sea of people. It was Russel and Fletcher Tringum from Xenotime!

“Hi guys!” I chirped as the walked over to me.

“Hi Ed!” chirps Fletcher, who bounds over to me and gives me a hug. I almost start crying for joy but it would probably look silly.

“Hey, Ed,” says Russel as we shake hands. Mind you, that wasn't easy because Fletcher was still in my arms. “Long time, no see.”

“Yeah, I smile.

“I'm surprised you didn't get my letters for the part two Christmases,” he said , sadly.

“What letters? I asked, because I didn't understand.

“I sent two letters a month to you,” he says, befuddled, “And they all came back with a feminine script saying, `No such person at this address.”

Rockbell, growled Roy.
