Tasuki was running down the alley, he had heard two more screams and then they stopped. " I may hate women but they have no right to be treated like that." He had that serious glow to his eyes. It felt like he had ran for an hour when in fact it had only been 5 mins. He finally ran into the clearing of the alley. He looked around, and saw a woman, that had blood and gashes all over her, on the ground. He saw a man bend down next to the girl. He had a knife in his hand. The girl was laying flat on her stomach with one hand under herself and the other laying flat on the ground by her side. The man then raised the knife and brought it down. Tasuki tried to reach the girl before the knife was in her.

"Ha." He was bringing the knife down real fast. "Now you die." He had a look of pure hatred and a look as though he was bloodthirsty. The knife was an inch from touching her skin, She moved out of the way. The knife hit rock and was now stuck in the rock. The girl had rolled to the right and missed the knife. She slowly stood clutching her stomach. The man pulled and yanked on the knife, trying to get it out of the ground. He finally gave up and stood. He slowly started towards the girl. She stood there hardly able to see, let alone move.

"Hey ya bastard!" Tasuki grabbed his fan and was ready to swing it when the man grabbed the girl and used her as a shield. The girl tried to get out of his grip but was too week, she started to fall to her knees. The man roughly brought her back on her feet. Tasuki saw this, raced forward and grabbed at a knife he had on his belt. And slashed one of the mans arms. He let the girl go and grabbed at his arm. Tasuki grabbed the girl and ran to the exit of the alley. He stopped and set the girl down, she was half conscious by now. He brought the fan back behind his head then brought it forward real fast and shouted "Rekka shien!" The fire flew from the fan and hit the man and in an instant he was gone.

"What!" came a whisper from the ground? The girl started to get up and tried to get away from him. She didn't want to be burnt she was already hurting from the cuts and bruises. She tried to run but fell forward and then everything went black again.

Tasuki saw the fright in her eyes and watched as she tried to get away. She tried to make a run but fell and passed out from the pain. He picked her up and *held her. *

*Like a guy holds a girl if she hurt her ankle, not over the shoulder. *

He started walking out of the alley and towards the palace. He knew he could not run that would injure her more.

Tasuki got to the palace and took the girl straight to the king. He ran into the throne room. The king was in an important meeting with his advisors. "Your highness?" Tasuki said out of breath.

Hotohori turned around and saw the girl. "What happened to her?" He stood up and went over to Tasuki. He examined the girl closer; she had several cuts and bruises most of them very deep. Her arm had a huge gash on it. "We need to get Mitsukake" He gestured to a servant to come get the girl. "Take her to the nearest room and wait outside the door."

She was taken to the room while Tasuki found Mitsukake. As soon as he found him they raced to the room. Mitsukake healed her, but not all the wounds could be healed, which took most of his strength. This puzzled Mitsukake. Everyone left the room to let her sleep. Tasuki had been standing outside the whole time. After he was sure everyone had left ,and was far enough away, he entered the room. Some of the wounds that mitsukake could not heal completely were bandaged. He looked at her then decided to sit down. "I hate women but still you don't deserve to be treated like that." He put his head into his hands.

`Thank you." came a small whisper.
