“I think I love you already.”

Her words overwhelmed him with a feeling that he thought he had forgotten and he couldn't help but kiss her. When he pulled away.

“This Sesshoumaru is not far from feeling the same.”

There was nothing that could describe their feelings. It was pure happiness. Pure love…

Chapter Five - Mated and Mayhem!

“Since we are now mated. This Sesshoumaru wants to know how you came to be immortal.”

“I made a deal with Hades and Gaea…”

“Who are these Hades and Gaea…”

“Well about a thousand years ago I was living with my grandmother. She was the one that taught me the craft. We weren't really well accepted by people… Because of what we were… We were witches, and such beings were considered evil… But the village we lived in had a kind miko that understood that we were not evil beings… However… One day, a large group of youkai attacked the village. The miko, my grandmother and I fought hard with out powers, but by the end my grandmother was greatly weakened. The miko had been killed. The villagers blamed us for the attack and the death of their miko, so they began to stone us. My grandmother spent the last of her energy to transport me away… Her last words were “Forgive these people, for they do not know what they are doing.”

After she sent me away I felt it in my soul that she had died.

I was angry and I summoned Hades the god of the underworld and Gaea the mother earth to grant me power greater than anything in this world. They agreed to do so with a price. The price was my death. I was to live forever. Like a fool I agreed. When I left to seek revenge, I found my brother. The last relative I had. And it turned out that he had gained immortality as I did. He told me to forget revenge, because those people are just simple minded and blamed what they couldn't understand.

He's probably the reason why I haven't gone crazy yet.

“You traded your mortality in order to become powerful. Countless humans would want to be offered such a wish and it would not bother them so, and yet it seems as it bothers you seeing as it were a price under your circumstances. Why is that?”

“For me it was a great price to pay because... Even though I have the ability to make others immortal there is the risk of death if my blood does not accept them. I have yet to do such a thing with my adopted family. I don't want them to suffer the price of seeing the ones they love to die while they live…”

“Ah... Your human emotions are what make your price very... disdainful to you.”

“Yes it does... but I shouldn't regret it, because I had asked for it and I had made the choice in doing so... Shit happens, so I just have to deal with it.”

“Well since I shared some of myself why don't you share a little about yourself too?”

“I...” Sesshoumaru started. He didn't know what to say... She was the first to ever even think of asking him such a question. No one dared to ask him of his history, being that they know his reputation was enough for them to know to stay away from him and such.

“I am Lord of the Western Lands, and with that title comes great power and responsibility. (Yeah I know that came from Spiderman, but hey! It IS the truth in this case, too you know?) I am the youngest Lord there has been in millenniums... That had caused many to attempt to defeat me in order to obtain my lands. That has made me the strong demon I am today, I have proven to be better than the other lords. That is the reason being that I am well known and feared by many.”

Amii smiled, “Even though I'm willing to bet that nearly everyone in this world knows that, I'm glad I got to hear it from you rather than anyone else.”

He nuzzled against her neck where her mark lay and whispered, “This Sesshoumaru is glad to be the first to say so, mate.”

She hugged him and replied, “I'm glad I'm your mate, Sesshoumaru…”

Then they both heard a voice calling out to Amii “Amii! Amii!! Where are you?!”

Amii sighed, “It's my adopted sister, Kagome. And it looks like I have to go now, Sess-chan...”

Sesshoumaru let out a small sigh, “I suppose it is.”

She gave him a kiss as she magically clothed Sesshoumaru and herself. “I'll call for you later on tonight… Is that alright?”

“Anything for my mate.”

She would have turned into a puddle if it weren't for Kagome calling for her.

“AMII!!!!!”

She pouted as she walked away and towards Kagome.

`He's kind of sweet. Even though he doesn't look it... he is...' She thought smiling.

“There you are! I was getting worried about you Amii!”

Amii sighed, “Well time flies when you're with a hot guy!”

Kagome laughed at her, “Sooo! I see you found yourself a cute guy.”

“I'd say that `cute guy' would be a major understatement! He was hot as hell!”

“Did he really looked that delicious, Amii?”

Amii sighed dreamily, “No, he didn't just look it he did…”

“Don't tell me you kissed him…”

“Guilty.”

“That's good… I was wondering when you were going to get over Marcelo. You need to get married and find love one day too you know.”

“Uhhh…”

Kagome eyed her suspiciously, “What happened…”

“Ummm…. I kinda… Got married last night….”

“WHAT?!”

“Ehehe…. I mated with an inu youkai… We bit each other and drank each other's blood and the whole shebang…”

“He didn't die from drinking your blood?”

“Nope.”

“Wow… I'm so happy for you Amii. I guess you found your true love huh?”

Amii blushed and nodded. Kagome couldn't help but smile at her older sister. She hugged her.

“You deserve to be happy Nee-chan with all the things you had to go through…”

“Thanks for being so understanding…”

“Hey, what are sisters for right? But I don't think Shunu is going to be all to happy about this…”

“Well he's just going to have to deal with it! I'm a mated woman now!” She said laughing.

“True! Now let's go back and tell him the `good news'!”

With that they left to go to the village, little did they know that someone had been listening to their conversation... Sesshoumaru...

He then decided to follow them to the village just to make sure nothing happened to his mate on her way back with her sister.

When Kagome and Amii got back to the village Inuyasha was nowhere to be found. So Kagome decided to go look for him and Miroku had decided to help Kaede and at the same time gather supplies to begin traveling. Amii and Shunu decided to go for a walk in forest and have a little talk.

Amii sighed, “It feels so great to be back in this era... I almost forgot what it felt like to be here...”

Shunu smirked, “Yeah, after all this IS 500 years ago from the time we're in now... I wonder if we'll run into ourselves in this era...”

“That's not what I'm worried about... I'm worried about seeing `him' again...”

Shunu sighed, “Che! Forget that bastard! Who knows maybe you'll find someone else in this time period to love.”

“Umm… Yeah… I bumped into a hot Inu Youkai…”

Shunu sighed, “I swear... You and Kag attract too many guys especially in this time period!”

Amii laughed, but became serious. “Shunu… I think you need to sit down for this…”

“Okay…”

They both sat down before Amii told him calmly, “I got married last night…”

“WHAT?!”

Someone a couple of meters away flinched.

“That's not all… He drank my blood and lived…”

“WHAT?!”

“Stop screaming!!! You're hurting my ears!”

“So that must mean he's tha one doesn't it…?

She blushed and nodded.

“But you just met himmm!!! How could you do such a thing?!”

She looked like she was about to cry and all he could do was sigh. He hugged her.

“I'm sorry, sis. I just don't wanna see ya hurt all over again.”

Before she could answer there was a blur of white and then she heard his voice.

“This Sesshoumaru would not hurt my mate.”

Shunu was shocked but he recovered.

“Ya better not or I'll fry ya to a crisp, ya hear?!”

“This Sesshoumaru understands perfectly… Brother…”

Shunu gave him a pat on the back, “Shunu's fine.”

“Now let's head back to the village before that pervert does something to Kagome.”

“Umm… Are you going to come, too?” Amii said tugging at his sleeve.

He gave her a small smile. “Of course, mate.”

~*~* Kagome

“Okay... I'm seriously, really scared right now... Where the hell is that Inuyasha?!”

She then heard some strange laughter coming from men, she turned around and saw a gang of men in really small kimonos and they did NOT look friendly...

`Oh Crap...'

Before she was able to scream for Inuyasha, Amii or Shunu they covered her mouth and dragged her to their hideout while she was kicking and struggling to get out of their hold to run away...

`Dammit! Isn't this bracelet supposed to be lucky?!' She thought angrily while looking at the bracelet Amii had given her.

She was so busy thinking that she didn't notice that she was already in front of the one who was supposed to be the boss, he was a big guy alright and he looked kind of dumb too.

“Boss, what do you want to do with her?”

The `Boss' just looked at her and asked, “Give me the Shikon no Tama!”

`Dammit! I knew I should have asked Amii or Shunu to come with me!'

The `Boss' then pulled out his sword and was about to hit her with it... But it landed on one of the people holding her instead. What the heck? All the men began pulling her away from the `boss'. They were actually somewhat protecting her.

`Well, I guess the bracelet is working as best as it can for me anyways.'

However, the `boss' was causing the hut they were in to start falling on them. She was going to be buried alive when someone burst threw the rubble. It was Inuyasha!

“I knew you were going to get into some kind of trouble!”

Then suddenly he covered his nose. “Ugh… What is that SMELL?!”

That was when the `boss' decided to attack them. It ran forward to Inuyasha only to fall on him as something flew out of the guy. It headed straight to Kagome. It grabbed the jewel around her neck and flew out the hole Inuyasha had made…

That bird now had the Shikon no tama…

“INUYASHA!!! That bird has the jewel!”

“Fuuuccckk!!!”

He pushed the corpse off his body as he ran outside to see the bird fly away with the jewel. He then saw the bow and arrows on the ground. He grabbed it and gave it to Kagome.

“Here. Now get on my back.”

As soon as she got on his back, started running and jumping every now in then to have the bird in sight.

“Kikyou was skilled at archery, so since you're her reincarnation, you should be able to do it too.”

“If you say so…”

She attempted to shoot at the bird, but before it could hit the target it fell out of the sky. She did not have Kikyou's skills. And the bird had swallowed the jewel. Inuyasha just dropped her.

“Che… I'll do this myself.” He jumped at the bird but was only able to cut off the leg, which landed in front of Kagome. It started twitching and gave Kagome an idea. She tied the foot to an arrow and aimed at the bird.

“This has to work!”

She then let the arrow and it hit the target!

“YES!!!”

Before she could jump for joy she saw the jewel in the air and heard it crack. Then there was it looked as if it exploded into a thousand pieces and flew in a bunch of different directions.

Everyone in the `group' that had seen it had one though.

`That does not look good…”
