Fushigi Yuugi Fan Fiction / Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Birthday Girl ❯ Birthday Tempers and Preperations ( Chapter 1 )
[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]
Ok! This is the sequel to two of my stories! One is 'Love Through the Oddities', the other is 'Kitsune.....The Eighth Seishi?!'. You don't have to read the second in order to understand this one, but LTTO you need to read or you'll get confuzzled. Not all that sure what the plot for this one's gonna be, but I'll come up with something sooner or later.
K, just a little background info for you people who REFUSE to go back and read the first stories. Natalie is the daughter of Hiei and Kurama. If you're curious as to how that happened, this is where reading the last one helps >.< In this fic, she's turning 16 in a couple days and Youko has invited his friend, Hotohori, and all the other Seishi friends to come along! Natalie shall be paired with someone, but only me, NeerP, and the Fruitcake know who! Oh! And I'm adding a couple of my friends into the story somehow at there requests. There ya go guys!
Natalie is a few inches or so shorter than Hiei, who I say grew at least almost a foot since my first fic. She has Hiei's black hair that goes down to about her butt. She has Kurama's huge green eyes and black fox ears and a matching tail. I'll probably make a site so I can post things of all my OC's at some point, but not right now! Anyways, Natalie has both her parents wrapped around her fingers, especially Hiei. Let's put it this way: for Christmas one year, she asked for a unicorn and Hiei spent at least a day looking for one before Kurama pointed out that she never said whether or not she wanted a live one, so he got her a stuffed animal. She also has Hiei's bad temper, but Kurama's patience. Anyway, enough jabbering on my part, on with the fic and let's pray to Ra I actually stick with it!ANOTHER FIC!!!<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<& lt;<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
"YOU INVITED WHO?!?!" The angry teenage demon yelled loud enough to be heard throughout the huge Makai mansion. "Daddy! You know I can't stand him! Why in the hells would you have him actually COME HERE?!"
Hiei gave her a lost look and replies, trying to calm his daughter, "He's the one throwing your party! I can't very well tell him he can't go to something he planned, now can I?"
"Yes you can! You can tell him NOT to throw me a party and to stop trying to come up with any excuse to get into my pants! And if you don't say it, I will! And it'll be with a fist to his face, not a simple decline! Shain is one of the most disgusting people I have ever met! How Auntie Keiko spawned such a little asshole is beyond me!"
Just then, Kurama chooses to walk cautiously down stairs to see if the argument had cooled down any. He was met with a pleading look from Hiei asking if he could take over for him. He nods and says, "Nat? If you don't want him there that much, I'll call and ask him to cancel any plans he had concerning your party, ok?"
Her mood did a complete 180 as she smiled brightly, hugging them, "Thank you both! I don't think I could have stood being around him any longer than ten seconds before I would try to kill him."
With that, she skips upstairs to get ready for the next day. Hiei glances sideways at Kurama and says, "It's odd when she does that. My temper one second, then your smile not even two seconds later."
"Yes, sometimes I think we should get her tested for being bi-polar, but I suppose it wouldn't matter. We are almost exact opposites, after all."
Aforementioned girl was at the moment in her walk-in closet, trying to figure out what to wear for tomorrow. Tossing random things out, she mutters to herself, "Not that... Or this... Where the hell did I get this?! Hm.... Oh well, possibly," she says as she places the yellow halter top next to her and continues digging. "Now all I have to do is find that pair of jean shorts and my sandels...."
It took another half hour before she put together her outfit. It consisted of the halter, a pair of dark blue denim short shorts, brown tie-sandels, and a silver dragon arm band with matching bracelets.
I wonder what the other people daddy invited are like. She thought to herself and she gets ready for bed later that night. Oh well, I'll find out tomorrow.
Back in Hongnan, Boushin is wandering the palace, bored as hell, "There's nothing to do here! When the hell will something interesting happen?"
About now, Kitsune shows up (AN: she's now thirty-six, in case you wanted to know), "Hey, Boushin. You look bored. Why not go plan on what you're going to bring that girl on her birthday tomorrow? If I remember right, she's the one your father betrothed you to, is she not?"
"Yes, she is, but what if she's terrible? Or what if we don't like each other at all? I'd rather not be destined to marry someone who I'll hate. I don't even know what she looks like, nor have I ever even spoken to her before!"
She just flicks a picture at him, "Well, now you can see what she looks like. And from what I heard of Hoto's and this Youko guy's conversation, she's a sweetie until you piss her off. Which I guess is hard, amazingly."
Boushin looks at the picture and wonders, "Those ears are fake, right?"
"No, she's a demon. Half fox, quarter ice apparition, and quarter fire demon. Interesting combination, if I do say so myself."
"And how the hells would you know that?" He asks in a surprised tone.
"Being able to listen in on conversations makes all the difference, Shin-chan. I'll try and teach you how sometime if your father doesn't catch me listening in on him first."
Boushin nods and grins, "I'll hold you to that promise, Kit-chan."
"And I'll keep it. Now go find something for your fox. Though I think it might be a bit of a surprise for her to find out she's betrothed. Neither of her parents have had the guts to tell her yet. I think her father would rather call it off than have to tell her."
"How do you know so much about this?! There NO way you could have picked all of this up from just listening to them talking."
"You're right. I may have cheated a little and read their minds a tinsy bit, but don't tell Chiri-chan on me or I'll never here the end of it, k? You don't tell, and I teach you how to eavesdrop. Good exchange, I think."
He nods and says, "I should probably try to find something to get her. I'll talk to you later, Kit-chan."
"Bye, Boushin. Good luck with finding something to get her," Kit replies as she stands and heads off to find her husband.
Boushin stands and heads off to the person who seems to know what girls like the most: Nuriko (AN: had to do it folks! Nuri would most deffinetely know how to help out Boushin ::nods:: ^.^ ). He looks around until he sees Nuri sitting at the edge of the pond in the gardens.
"Nuriko! I need to talk to you about something."
Nuri turns and looks at him with a smile, "Yes? What can I do for you, Shin-chan?"
"I have to find a gift for a girl and I wouldn't know where to start if there was a sign showing the way..." He begins.
"Woah, wait. First off, do you have a picture of her? If I can see how she looks, I can guaruntee that I can figure out something (AN: yes, I know there were no pictures back then, but with them being around Miaka a lot, they're used to the whole other times and worlds thing)."
Boushin hands him the picture and lets him look at it critically for a few minutes before asking, "Well? Can you think of anything?"
"She seems like the type to like flowers. Flowers, stuffed animals, and jewelry. Pick one, two, or all three if you want. Can never go wrong with all three, though," He answers with a smile.
"How the hell did you know that by just a picture? She just looks like a normal girl.... Fox ears aside..."
"I dunno. She just seems like the type to like them," Comes the shrugged reply.
"Thanks, Nuri. Her birthday's tomorrow and I'm running out of time fast. Any suggestions on what type of stuffed animal? Or which kind of flowers? Jewelry is pretty easy to pick out."
Nuri jsut sighs, "You really know nothing about this, do you? The jewelry should be the top priority on your list. Stuffed animals last because they're only meant as a token of endearment or friendship. Flowers reflect what you want to say by what type they are. Have you never heard of the Language of Flowers? It's how someone determines how you truly feel about them."
Boushin grumbles, "I didn't know this would be so difficult...."
"How about this. I'll go with you so you won't screw up too badly, alright?"
"That'll work, come on. With how you were discribing it, this'll take hours at the least, and I really need your help with this." On the way there, Nuri wrote a small list of flowers he might want to buy to combine into a bouquet. It consisted of Anemone, Aster, Baby's Breath, Basil, Bay Leaf, Daffodil, Forget-Me-Not, Lavender, Calia Lily, Sweet Majoram, a fully blossomed red Rose, and Smilax.
"Here, just get one of each of these and then worry about the stuffed animal and jewelry later."
"What exactly do these mean? I don't want her hating me because of some messed up flower message."
"You're beginning to sound like a normal teenage boy. It doesn't suit you. Knock it off," Nuri commands jokingly. "Just stop worrying. I know what I'm doing. Trust me."
"Alright, but if it ends up getting screwed up, I'm going to you," Boushin grins and goes to find all the things on the list. An hour later, he comes back to Nuri with the bundle in one bouquet of seemly random flowers. "Ok, now let's go and see what kind of jewelry and other things like that she might like...."
Nuri nods and starts off towards the jewelry venders, stopping every once and a while to look at something before shaking his head and placing it carefully back to its original location until he chanced upon a silver chain that had a gold sun pendant, "This! I think she'll like this best. It's elegant and tasteful, yet simple at the same time. What do you think, Boushin?"
"I think I don't have even the slightest idea as to what you're talking about.... I'll just trust you on this one, too and get it. Now for the last part. Picking out a stuffed animal shouldn't be too hard, right?"
"Right, it's the easiest thing to pick out. As long as you don't choose a teddy bear. While some girls think it's cute to get one from their boyfriend, husband, whatever, a lot of them also find it weird when a complete stranger gets them one. Teddies are deffinetely used after you actually speak for the first time."
Now grumbling more than ever at the complexities of women, Boushin goes into another store and looks around until something manages to catch his eye. It was a black unicorn with a deep blue mane that had sparkles woven into the string.
"I think I found what I want to get her," He calls to Nuri as he shows him the smallish animal.
"It's adorable! You should get it and then call it a day. You look tired. You've never been shopping from a woman's point of view before, have you?"
"No, and that might be because I'm not a woman, and don't act like one," Boushin shrugs. "I don't mind that, either. Anyway, let's go home so I can get these flowers in some water before they die on me. Wilted flowers probably don't send a very good message, do they?"
"Not really, no. A withered bouquet means rejected love. It might confuse the hell out of her, but it wouldn't do much otherwise unless she was seeing someone at the moment..."
"Ok, let's just get home and avoid the flower lecture. And I thought learning to take over the throne was a pain in the ass... Shopping correctly for a girl is ten times worse."CHAPPIE DONE<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< ;<<<<<<<<
