Warnings: Yoai! Major Yaoi! I love
seeing Tasuki and Chichiri together. I might even put Hotohori and Nuriko
together too, so you've been warned. Mostly rated R for constant swearing,
maybe more in later chapters…

"I wonder what Miaka's world will
be like for us," Tasuki said, weakly.

"Shh, Tasuki," Chichiri said
softly. "Save your strength."

"Che, for what? Chichiri, we both
know I'm dying," Tasuki said, with dark humor.

"I'm not letting you die on me yet,
Tasuki. Not now," Chichiri barely whispered.

"Don't worry Chichiri, I'll be with
everyone else, and you'll be there eventually too," Tasuki said trying to
reassure his dearest friend. "Besides, I'm glad you're here now."

"Tasuki… I couldn't be away from
you at a time like this… Especially…" The monk' voice was failing him through
tears but he forced the long hidden words out. "Especially since I love you,
Tasuki."

"Chichiri… Goddamnit, why'd ya wait
till now to tell? Ya bastard…"Tasuki said, but with a smile threatening the
corners of his lips. "I love you too, Chichiri."

Tasuki coughed, feeling weak from
the wound in his side. Chichiri leaned down and softly kissed him. Tasuki
closed his eyes, for the last time, and let death take him away.

"TASUKI!" Chichiri screamed.

Behind the mourning monk, a last
dying soldier pierced the monk with his sword. Chichiri smiled and laughed.

"I'll see you soon, my love…"
Chichiri closed his eye and fell on top of his love.

"Hey Miaka, what's wrong?" Taka
asked.

"Tasuki and Chichiri…" Miaka said,
unable to stop her tears. Taka closed his eyes and held his love closely.

"Shhh, it's alright, they're coming
to our world now, remember?" Taka said trying to comfort the girl.

"Hai, I wonder if any of them would
remember their past lives in this life…" Miaka said.

"I think so. I think we'll all meet
again, soon, and we'll all be friends," Taka said comfortingly.

"I hope so, Taka," she said, and kissed him softly.
