Sunrise Reminscing

I blinked my eyes at the sun as it started to peek over the pines across the lake. As it rose a little higher the rays blinded me a moment, reflecting off the mirror surface of the blue water.

Then the sun shifted and I gasped slightly at the beauty of the sunrise. A small smile played on my lips as I appreciated the sight before me.

"Ne, Tasuki?" I queried in a soft voice, not wanting to disturb the beauty before me but wanting to share it with my lover.

I waited a few moments but then getting no answer I turned to see him leaning against a large tree, softly snoring. I sighed and shook my slightly leave it to Tasuki to fall asleep when he was supposed to be fishing. I then chuckled slightly he did make a rather comical sight laying there with his baseball cap tilted forward and fangs peeking ever so slightly out of his mouth.

I shook my head again before turning back to watch the sunrise, there was no use in waking him.

I gave a soft sigh as a slight wind played through wisps of my long light blue hair that had come out of its ponytail.

Readjusting my grip on the fishing pole in my hands, the line disappearing in the water below me, my mind started to drift back in time, it finally settling on the time of Tasuki's and my first meeting.

I gave a soft chuckle it had been far from love at first site.
