Chapter 1- A terrible secret
"The mountains...serene, clean air, clear skies, Peacful view,and-"
"DAMN IT GOKU! YOU LITTLE THEIF! GET OVER HERE SO I CAN STRANGLE YOU!" Goyji shouted chasing the smaller boy in circles. Goku whined "BUT I WAS HUNGRY AND YOU WERE GOING TO EAT LUNCH YOU SAID SO YOURSELF!" Goyji snarled and continued to chase after Goku.

The yellow haired priest sat on the ground, arms crossed, eyes shut tight, right eyebrow twitching. " Will you two...SHUT UP!!!" Goyji managed to dodge Sanzos fan but poor Goku got hit on his head. Goyji laughed and then Sanzo hit him in the face.

The two injured demons shouted together " THAT HURT SANZO!!!" except Goyji didn't say Sanzo he said "JACKASS!!!"

Hakkai laughed

"Yep like I said Clean air,Clear skies, Peaceful veiw, Serene...but not quiet...sigh"

Goku rubbed the bump on his head groaning. Then a sudden chill ran down Sanzos' spine...someone was spying on them... He tensed up and reached down for his Banishing gun. Goyji,Goku and Hakkai knew that something bad was coming...demon most likely..."What is it?" Goku asked Sanzo glared at the darkness of the forest "I don't know but I plan to find out..."

A sudden sound of movement told them their visitor was on the move! Off they went, running fast, trying to find that spy. Goku knew when they changed the direction by the scent in the air. Then they stopped.

Goyji bonked Gokus hard on the head " What do you mean you lost Their scent!?" Goku gave him a concentrated glare "I am trying the best I can I'm not a God Damn BloodHound!"

Then a scream peirced the silence like a knife. Screaming didn't stop and also shouting A strong smell of demons...Fox demons hit Gokus' nose so hard he fell back clutching his nose "FOX DEMONS! A WHOLE BUNCH OF FOX DEMONS!!!I CAN SMELL SOMETHING ELSE BUT I CAN'T DETERMINE WHAT IT IS!!!" he shouted.

Then out of the bushes in front of them a young woman came running out and she crashed right into Hakkai. She was frightened beyond belief. She leapt up off the ground and before she get any farther Goyji caught her. Sanzo helped Hakkai up off the ground

The girl was quivering as if she had just seen death himself. Her face was pale extremlly pale...beyond belief pale and her eyes were large from fear. Goyji held her still "Hey What's wrong? Are you okay?" the girl ( well 25 isn't exactlly a girl) shook her head "Th-th-there were so many...sharp fangs, blood, amber eyes, and claws...They they they tried to attack me..."

A snarl made her jump. She tried to get away from Goyjis' strong grip but he kept an iron grip on her wrist. Then suddenly he shoved her over to Hakkai who was startled as he instantly caught her and as Goyji did kept a tight grip on her wrist.

Goyji glared at the fox/men that stepped out into veiw. "Give the women to usssssss" the s was a long hiss. Goyji smirked "First You'll have to kill us three" Goku and Sanzo nodded. "Hakkai get her out of these woods and higher up don't worry about us!"

Hakkai opened his mouth but then closed it and ran. The girl stumbled, she was obviously not going to be fast enough...he hated the idea but he had no other choice...Hakkai kneeled down and with an exasperated sigh he said "Come on you're to slow I'll carry you..."

The girl blushed, nodded slowly and then climbed on. Clinging tightly to his shoulders Hakkai ran. A sudden low growl from a tree told him that there were more Fox demons around. "Shit" he whispered.

The girl tightened her grip and then said "Let me down" Hakkai nearly crashed into a tree from surprise. "W-W-What are you talking about they'll kill you!" She sighed "I know...but My death won't be worth anything to anyone no one will care no one will mourn over my death...but I bet you...you and your friends have people close to you back home...It would be my fault if you and your friends die...so please let me down..."

Hakkai starred at her What did she mean by what she said?...I'll ask her later "No" he said bluntly and picking up more speed. Tears welled up in her eyes "I don't want to carry the burden of being the cause of your deaths I don't even deserve your kindness..." Hakkai sighed and then smiled the end of the forest was only a few feet a away...

"Hang on... it's going to be a high climb..." Her eyes grew large in surprise and then she yelped as the sun hit her eyes "Owwww" then finally when her eyes got adjusted she saw a wall of stone and they were climbing up it.

Hakai climbed up the rocky surface. A shine of gold hit his eye. He flinched and then he saw a Power Limiter on her wrist the one that they hadn't felt. A armlet with little amthest embedded in it. 'A demon...like Goku and I...that was what she meant...'

Hakkai let out a sigh as they sat down on the top of the cliff. Quiet. He closed his eyes and was about to fall asleep when she asked "Who are you travelers?" when he looked over at her to answer he bit his lip. Finally he got to see what she looked like...

A petite body, thin and the perfect height. Her skin was peach fuzz color and her long golden literally golden colored hair framed her flawless face. Her amthyst eyes had flakes of gold in it and the shone brightly with the sun.

She wore a pair of skintight black shorts and a lite seagreeen material that was seethrough skirt flowed with her movements like a waterfall. She wore a skintight black tanktop with a lite blue seethrough silk like material shirt with long flowing sleaves. She had a pair of white sandels on her feet.

Hakkai blinked shook his head cleared his throat and answered " We're on a mission. I'm Hakkai I'll introduce the others when they get back..." she smiled "Thank you for saving me..." Hakkai looked out at the neverending sky..."Why weren't you able to save yourself? You're strong enough"

She gave a confused look and sat down beside him. "What are you talking about?" Hakkai lifted her wrist with the power limiter "You're demon aren't you?" she pulled her wrist away and stared at it hatefully "I am originally an element dragon...but mostly I'm of Ice I was given this when I had been forced into slavery...I was only nine I worked as a slave girl from age nine to age sixteen...I have no powers...this limiter has the ability to cut me of from ALL of my demonic powers and that includes my demon chakra or chi which ever u call it...I'm a weakling demon..." tears fell "I hate it..."

Hakkai smiled "Hey don't worry about it-" he was cut off by a sudden statement "Hey...what's with the waterworks?" Gojyo asked as Sanzo helped Goku up onto the cliff.

The girl smiled weakly wipping her eyes "It's-It's nothing...Thank you all very much for saving my life" Goku laughed "If only you could have seen what happened Hakkai...A fox goes at Gojyo and Gojyo is running at it and he trips...and his blade went flying...it nearly gave Sanzo..a haircut and the fox ran head first into a tre-"

Gojyo clamped a hand on Gokus' mouth "Shut up monkey! It wasn't that funny!" Hakkai chuckled as Goku and Gojyo began to fight again for the eight-hundreth -and-sixteenth time that day.

Sanzo frowned and bonked Goku on the head "I recall a certain monkey nearly getting his arm cut off by the blade too..." Goku froze up and then began to shout at the laughing Sanzo and Gojyo. Hakkai laughed quietly to himself.

Gojyo stopped running and starred at the girl his face had lost all signs of humor. The setting sun frammed her sad,quiet, and lonely face. A single tear fell down her cheek. Quietly while Goku,Hakkai,and Sanzo went to set up camp Gojyo went to join the girl.

She sat there. Not doing anything just starring at the night sky. He stood behind her " Hey what's up?" she started but when she saw that it wasn't a threat she relaxed just a smidge.

"Hakkai told me your story...but I heard that no matter what there is someone there waiting for you but you may have not met them yet..." She smiled up at him. "Oh I didn't introduce myself to any of you! My name's Miriyai but I prefer to be called Miri..." Gojyo smiled "The name's Gojyo, The midget is Goku and the 'holy man' a.k.a. jackass Sanzo".

Gokus' voice echoed " I AM NOT A MIDGET!" Gojyo laughed "SURE YOUR NOT!" Miri laughed quietly to herself but Gojyo could still hear it. He smiled and offered her his hand to help her up. "Good to see you've got a sense of humor I was worried we would have a solemn depressed female on our hands."

She smiled at him and for once her eyes weren't cold and dull and empty but it sparkled with laughter and happiness. Gojyo smirked to himself as he watched the gorgeous angel head over to the camp fire ahead of him. He spoke quietly to the darkness around him "Deep inside of her I think that there is a lost little girl that wants to live a real childhood but has grown to quickly and that it just wants to be set free..."

Quietly he lit his cigerate and headed over to join the four tomorrow was going to be a looooooooong hike.
