Gojyo adjusted the helmet before he knocked on the door the way the palace guard had instructed him to do. Rianna opened the door and gazed out at him.

"You really shouldn't be doing this. You're risking your life for me," Rianna said as he took her hand and slipped the ring back on her finger.

"It's a risk I'm willing to take," Gojyo said as he took off the helmet. She cried in joy as she embraced him. Gojyo propped his weapon against the door and laid a hand on her face.

"Don't cry," he said as he wiped the tears from her eyes.

"I-I'm sorry. I'm just so glad to see you!" she sobbed and Gojyo kissed her. Her crying subsided as she felt his tongue probe her mouth. She gazed lovingly into his eyes as he forced her to the ground. He drew away from her and pulled of his shirt. She gazed up at him and sighed.

"I've missed that. I've missed everything about you."

"I've missed you too. I've missed making love to you. I've missed kissing your beautiful body but what I've missed most is your hair. Red looks so much better on a chick than a guy."

"I've missed feeling your touch."

"Let's not miss anything anymore."

Hakkai listened to Rianna's exclamations of pleasure as he stood guard outside. They both needed each other. It reminded him of himself. The way they acted...Her cries grew in intensity and Hakkai shook his head. He knew that Gojyo had sorely missed her and Rianna's cries had proved that. Sanzo walked up to him and frowned, expressing his distaste with the sounds.

"You've never felt that way?" Hakkai asked and Sanzo glared at him.

"It's a wonder that Demon King Rynna doesn't know we're here. Her cries carry far on the still air," Sanzo said as he lit a cigarette.

"She's just glad to see him. Surely you can allow her those emotions."

"Not with a man like Gojyo."

"They come from the same world and it is a world that the rest of us cannot understand for we are not split like they are."

Gojyo stepped out of the small cabin, smoking a cigarette. He looked markedly refreshed as Rianna stepped out behind him and took his hand. Goku appeared out of nowhere and handed Rianna a small box. She took it from him and glanced at Gojyo who rolled his crimson eyes.

"It is a present from Goku, Miss Rianna. Please open it. He has been extremely excited about presenting it to you," Hakkai said and Rianna looked at him.

"You all came?" she asked.

"Yes. I trust that you feel better now that you had your time with Gojyo?"

Rianna flushed and Goku prodded her hand.

"Open it," he said and she looked at him.

"Of course. I forgot. I'm sorry," she said and opened the box that Goku had made for his gift. She took out a necklace with a bright red apple pendant.

"I was gonna give you a red bug but it flew away," Goku said as Gojyo placed the necklace around her neck and clasped it shut. He kissed her neck and she flushed.

"Thank you, Goku. It's very nice," she said and Goku grinned.

"I knew you'd like it. Gojyo said you wouldn't but I knew you would. Gojyo said he was the only red thing you liked."

"Shut up dumbass!" Gojyo growled and Goku dodged the blow that was aimed at him. He stuck his tongue out at Gojyo and Gojyo sprinted after him. Hakkai smiled in amusement and Sanzo sighed.

"Those two are pathetic," he said.

"However, they are highly amusing to watch," Hakkai said.

"I had forgotten how funny they can be," Rianna said as she watched Goku continue to duck Gojyo's blows.

"Stand still you ape!" Gojyo cried.

"Make me!" Goku retorted then stopped suddenly. "I smell something. Death is coming."

Gojyo ran back to where Rianna stood and picked up his weapon.

"Go back into the shack," Gojyo said to Rianna and Rianna took his hand. She gazed solemnly at him and laid her free hand on her weapon.

"He's my father. I'd like to help you," she said and Gojyo looked at her.

"I don't want you hurt," he said and she smiled.

"I know but I'd like to take care of this. All the pain that I went through simply because he wanted to kill me to benefit himself. That makes me so mad."

"I understand. Just be careful, all right? I don't want anything to happen to you."

"I'll be careful."

"So are you good at fighting?" Goku asked.

"I don't know. I've never done it before," Rianna replied.

"Well now's the perfect time to find out."
