Gojyo's attitude had become severely different as the castle of the demon king became more visible. He placed his lit cigarette into his mouth and gazed coldly at the castle. Whatever they had done to her would not be forgiven. He would show no mercy to the youkai once he got inside the castle walls. Goku prodded his shoulder but drew back at the look that Gojyo gave him. He sat on the opposite edge of the jeep and pouted.

"He was only trying to make you feel better," Hakkai commented and Gojyo snorted.

"I don't need anybody to make me feel better. I want to get there and take care of this," Gojyo said.

"I understand but we cannot go any faster. I'm afraid we're going as fast as we can."

"Why can't he turn into something faster?"

"Because it isn't in his nature."

"Can we stop somewhere and eat?" Goku asked and Gojyo looked at him.

"Hey, worldly monk, why can't you keep your ape fed?" Gojyo asked and Sanzo pointed his gun at Gojyo's forehead.

"He's not my ape. Now, you've got two choices. You can get there alive and do what you have to do or you can get there dead and not be able to do a damned thing," Sanzo said and Gojyo glanced away from him.

"Fine. I didn't ask you to come along."

"You think I'd stay behind while you rush off doing something stupid? I'd miss a lot of entertainment that way."

"I knew you were funny," Goku said and Gojyo glared at him.

"Shut up dumbass."

"Don't call me that you kappa!"

"Now, now, you two. Can't we at least have one pleasant ride in the country?" Hakkai asked as Sanzo pulled a cigarette out of the package that Gojyo held.

"Hey, I need those!" Gojyo protested.

"More than your life?" Sanzo asked.

"Fine. Take it but you owe me one."

"Fine."

"At least it seems that you two are getting along much more nicely," Hakkai commented and Sanzo glanced at him.

"How much further?" he asked.

"Hmmm....by the position of the sun and the location of the castle, I'd say we'd arrive at the gates a little after midnight."

"She's going to be in the castle though. How are we gonna get in?" Gojyo asked.

"We'll bust right in! You coulda figured that out. I did," Goku said and Hakkai smiled.

"I think we need something a lot more subtle, Goku," he said.

"There's someone in the road," Sanzo said and Hakkai pressed his foot on the brakes.

"It's a guard of some sort," Hakkai said and Sanzo pointed his gun at the youkai.

"Please, I come in peace. I am risking my own life being out here to meet you," the guard said and Sanzo's gaze hardened.

"You have ten seconds to explain yourself," he said and the guard held up a ring.

"She told me to show you this and assure you that she was safe."
