“YUKI!” Shuichi shouted as Eiri entered the room. Shuichi was sitting upright with a hospital gown on watching TV. Or at least he was until Yuki had come in.

“I'm so glad to see you. I don't really even remember what happened.”

“You had a nose bleed and than you passed out.”

“Oh…”

A silence swept over the room as Yuki just froze standing in the doorway of room 105.

“They had to remove my appendix when they did surgery I guess it was huge and that's what really kicked the bleeding in. The doctors said it was a good thing because I could've died if it went unnoticed like it was.” Shuichi stared at Yuki as his mouth opened slightly. He just stood there. Not saying a word. Not breathing.

“Yuki…”

“Huh…”

“Would you like to sit down?”

“Oh… Ugh… Yes. I think I do.”

“Are you ok Yuki?”

“Huh? ... Oh fine.”

“Oh.”…

They just sat there for ten minutes not saying anything, Shuichi not knowing what to say to Yuki. Feeling lost. Yuki didn't want to cry again. He was so scared. This wasn't like him. Usually he didn't give a shit what the dumb kid was doing. It was like his eyes were opened for the very first time. He could see everything so clearly. He loved Shuichi he truly loved him. And he knew that more than anything. If he lost him he would… He would…. He didn't know what he would do. He didn't know anything at the moment. He felt like he was stuck in some vortex being pulled away from reality, like he was being sucked down a drain hole. He didn't want Shuichi to know he had cried like a little girl in the hall. He had already seen him cry enough. But was it ok for him to see him crying. Was he going to come off as an ass hole as Shuichi lay in bed right after surgery if he acted like his normal self? Was it to much too just jump back in to normal. What was normal anyway. He felt a tear slip out from his eye. He had been holding it in for so long. He couldn't stand to see Shuichi sitting in a hospital when he was usually jumping about, screaming, and laughing. This wasn't right. He wanted him to annoy him again. Now he knew something was wrong. Did he actually just say he wanted Shuichi to annoy him again?

“Yuki…”

“YEAH!” Yuki screamed because Shuichi had startled him as he was deep in thought.

“Eh….. Umm the doctor said I should be able to leave in a week or two. Depending on how well my body cooperates with the surgery and medicine they are giving me.”

“Oh. That's good.”

“I'm a bit nervous that K will show up here and hold a gun to my head or something telling me to get out of bed I have a show to do. You know K.”

“Yeah. Perhaps he will act differently this time. Seeing as you really should stay in until the doctors say it's ok.”
”You think so?”

“Yeah. Well everyone is acting different.”

“Including you?

“Including me.”
