While Ryuichi and Shuichi were inside the apartment the weather decided to turn nasty. The tail end of a northern blizzard was sweeping down from Hokkaido bringing biting, sharp, flakes of snow and gusts of icy cold wind to beat down on the hustle and bustle that was Tokyo. These conditions buffeted the pair as they scurried carefully along the steadily increasing slickness of the sidewalk. The two singers rushed through the grocery store, gathered what they had come for, then scrambled back to the apartment as fast as humanly possible.
All in all the trip down to the store had been quite uneventful for the two singers, despite the terrible weather. Something that was surprisingly out of the norm given the unusual adventures they tended to have when together. Shuichi couldn't help but wonder if Ryuichi was still feeling a little blue, as his speaking had slowed and then stopped altogether during their trek outdoors. It could have been the weather that was getting him a little out of sorts, though Shuichi wasn't really convinced it was the reason behind his sudden quiet spell.

When they returned to the apartment with their bags of groceries, Yuki was talking with someone on the phone. He was sitting sprawled out on the living room sofa, left leg propped up on the ottoman which was still piled with pillows. The television was on, but muted. An aging weather man with a terrible comb-over was silently yet enthusiastically saying something about the weather as he directed happy looking snowflakes, gusts of wind and clouds around a big digital map of Japan.
When the singer walked past the couch, The blonde novelist shot him a pleading look as he pointed at the phone and mouthed the words “Your mother!” and then “Save me!” while pointing at the phone.

“Can you go put these in the kitchen Ryuichi?” He handed the bags of groceries to his friend. “It appears I need to rescue my lover from his soon-to-be mother-in-law.”
Ryu nodded and gave him a wink as he jovially trotted off to the kitchen.
“hmm…Maybe it was the weather that was getting to him after all.”

The singer hopped over the back of the leather couch and scooted next to his lover, gesturing for him to hand over the phone.

“…Yes---ye--well, thank you very much Shindou-san,” Eiri stared desperately at Shuichi's hand as though it were a lifeboat floating past him in the middle of the Atlantic ocean.
“---uh, well he's actually back from the store now, you can congratulate him yourself if you'd like---okay---same to you. Send my best regards to Shindou-san. Goodbye.” Yuki cringed and rolled his eyes as he passed the phone off to a very confused looking Shuichi. He whispered, “Sorry…” into Shuichi's ear, like he really meant it, and kissed him on the cheek before he hobbled off to his study.

Puzzled, the singer turned his attention to the phone.

“Hi mom, how are-”
“Shuichi why didn't you tell me that you were engaged?!”
“Oh, well you know, things have just been so busy here, with me going back to work, planning Christmas, and Eiri getting hurt… Guess it kind of slipped my mind…”
He tried to laugh it off, even though he knew that he wouldn't be hearing the end of this one for a while.

“Well even though you were busy something this important should have been your number one priority! I'm your mother, after all, I gave birth to you! I should have an all access pass to your life! I shouldn't have to find out important information second hand I….”
Blah blah blah.

Shuichi held the phone away from his ear after that, giving the odd “mhmm” to make sure she still knew he was on the line. He had heard her generic, “I'm your mother so your soul belongs to me” speech many times before, though this one was a bit different because it included Eiri. It wasn't until he heard her say, “Oh well that's great then I'll start planning it immediately!” that he snapped back to the conversation, suddenly wondering what he had accidentally agreed to.

“Sorry mom what was that?”
“An engagement party. I said I'll start planning your engagement party right away! When was the last time you cleaned your ears? I used to have so much trouble cleaning your ears when you were younger, and your sister was always so good. I remember one summer when you were both small and….”

`Wait a minute…did she just say engagement party?!'

Right as he was about to protest, the phone suddenly gave three beeps in rapid succession, signaling that there was another call coming in. He looked at the call display. It was Hiro.

“Uh huh yah that sounds great, Listen mom I'd love to talk to you all night but I've got another call on the line and I think it might be work. We'll talk again soon alright?”

“Okay honey sounds good, I'll get started with the party planning, and call you back in a few days. Love you lots, and don't forget to clean your ears! Goodbye!”

“Love you too mom, I'll be sure to do that. Bye.”
He didn't even have time to recoil from the bomb his mother had just dropped on him. He clicked on the receive call button again to pick up Hiro's call. Ryuichi flounced back into the living room, Baby, Kitty and Kumagoro were clutched in his arms. The stuffed rabbit did not look very cozy with two kittens hanging by their teeth off his ears.

“Hi Hiro! Why did you call our land line and not my cell?”
Shuichi knew Hiro did not like to chance having to talk to Yuki, should their phone actually be on for once, and so never called the house phone unless it was absolutely necessary. This call was not sitting well with Shuichi's inner alarm bells.

“You weren't picking up your cell, I tried it like fourteen times, but anyway it doesn't matter. Turn to channel five on your T.V..”

“Why?” He knew there was something going on now and he was certain he wasn't going to like it.

“Because someone with a video phone saw you and Sakuma-san escaping the NG pro building today and decided to follow you. They're playing the story in a minute or two.”

“Oh no…” Shu uttered softly as he reached for the remote. He turned it to channel five, where a popular entertainment and celebrity gossip program was just displaying shaky, grainy footage of him and Ryu walking beside each other down the alley behind NG pro.

“Hey Shuichi that's us!” Ryu shouted loudly as he grabbed the remote from his pink haired friend to un-mute the T.V. “We're on T.V!”

“…Famous pair was seen sneaking out of the NG productions building together via a ground floor window and our lucky viewer-turned-camera man, got their entire secret outing together on video with his phones v-cam feature.”

Shuichi put the phone back to his ear, his face displaying a mixture of shock and anger. How dare someone do something like this to them! As if Tohma didn't have enough reasons to keep Ryuichi locked down tighter than a maximum security prisoner. Or enough reasons to want to scrub Shuichi and Bad Luck off the face of the music industry. It was a damn good thing their records were still selling well, otherwise their future with NG would be very uncertain.

“Is K watching this?” Shu asked Hiro as he watched himself casually exit the coffee shop they had gone to earlier that day, Ryu strolling along by his side. They looked like they were on a very casual date, though of course they hadn't been.

Hiro gave an acknowledging hum into the receiver. “Yah, I called him before I called you, but Tohma found out earlier this evening that the show would be airing the “story” on you two and gave K a debriefing on the situation. There wasn't anything he could do to keep it off the air or at least that's what I was told.”

That was a relief. At least if K was onto it, then they might have a chance of denying the situation, at least in part anyway. Shuichi just prayed that the video wouldn't show Ryu's emotional episode at the park, because if it did, then things were going to get a lot more difficult to explain.

“Shuichi, there's something else you should know.”

“Oh what now,” Shuichi thought bitterly to himself. As if the situation could get worse.
“K had to tell Tohma about you guys' engagement.”

“What! Why the hell did he have to tell him about that! I thought I told you all that Eiri didn't want Tohma to know yet!” Shuichi was furious. He looked over at Ryuichi. The older man was sitting cross legged in front of the T.V., staring at it intently, his chin and arm resting on one knee. Shuichi wanted to know what he thought of the situation, but was afraid to disturb him in case he was in some sort of deep thinking mode.

“What did Tohma have to say about it?”

Hiro paused. “Apparently he didn't sound too upset, but Tohma has the same voice on the phone no matter how emotional he is, so that really doesn't mean anything. You should talk to K about it, since he was the one who talked to him, not me.”

“Alright. I know he'll be calling me or, quite possibly, shooting his way into my apartment in a few minutes anyway, so I'll let you go and see how this pans out. I suppose tomorrow's plan of attack is going to be headed towards damage control, instead of making new music, but hey, what else is new right?”

Hiro laughed. “Leave it to you to pull humor out of a disaster.”

Shuichi shrugged and smiled. “Yah, I know right? I'm either super brilliant or really stupid, but …I haven't quite figured out which one yet.”

“Sometimes I worry about you man, I really do,” Hiro chuckled, “But worrying never did anything for anyone. I'll call you later or I guess talk to you tomorrow, whichever happens first.”

“Okay, sounds good to me. Bye.”

“Bye.”

Shuichi hung up the phone and shrank into himself on the couch. He didn't want this to be happening right now. He wanted to get started planning his wedding, he wanted to be thinking about the holidays and fitting his crazed family into their apartment, not controlling a media frenzy. Couldn't the world just let him be happy for once without some scandal like this constantly overshadowing him?
Whoever said happiness is free must not have been famous.

The camera operator had gotten his and Ryuichi's entire outing on tape. Everything. Right up until they headed back inside NG. According to the host of the show, he and Ryuichi were presumed to be lovers, and had been forced to sneak out together during the day, so Yuki-san wouldn't find out about their relationship. It's too bad the video didn't have good enough picture or sound for their voices to be heard. Or for their tears to show. If it had then all the speculation would have been rendered moot. Maybe if the viewers were able to see the tears on Ryuichi's face as Shuichi consoled him, or hear what he had been saying to each other, they might have a harder time believing that what took place between them had been a romantic affair.

“Shuichi, we're not lovers!” Ryuichi flipped around to express his confusion and outrage. “Tatsuha is my lover! Why did that lady say we're lovers? Who gave her permission to say that?”

“No, we're not. Yuki is my lover and Tatsuha-kun is yours, but the people who made the show are mean and don't care if they hurt us. They lie and sneak and cheat to make money off of our private lives.”

Ryuichi crawled across the floor, scooped up Kitty in his arms and snuggled him. Kumagoro stayed sprawled on the floor between the kitchen and the living room, where Baby had dragged and then forgotten him.
“I don't like liars and I don't like that woman. Don't worry Shuichi, Tohma will make them stop lying. Tohma always makes the bad people leave me alone. Always.”

As the pink haired singer watched Ryuichi return to mindlessly cuddling his kitten, he wondered how he could just switch off the anxiety, and go back to being so content, so peaceful, when something like this was going on. It also shocked him to see how Ryu could verbally detest Tohma's presence in his life, yet put such blind faith and trust, and even hope in him at the very same time. It seemed that neither the young carefree Ryu, nor the mature Ryuichi knew what they wanted. They craved and loathed their former lover and their constant care giver in unison, and it was Tohma that paid the price.

Shuichi could understand how it would be hard to give up someone like Tohma, someone so blindly devoted to you that you could call on him at any time to whisk away your problems and let you go on living in your own little dream world. It worked much the same way with spoiled children, who always had someone to call on night and day and who never had to face reality. That was the person that the immature side to Ryuichi's personality needed Tohma to be, though on some days, more frequently it seemed, the older, more mature side was trying to come back full force and remove Tohma completely. Part of the singer wanted to be free of the blonde while the other half depended on him to take care of things whenever he didn't want to deal with them himself. The singers desire for independence was growing and at the same time his dependency almost appeared to be increasing some days, as though he fought himself over what he really needed to say and do in any given situation.

It was this inconsistency in responses and levels of dependency that really made Shuichi realize that the issues the two `Grasper legends were dealing with were not entirely Tohma's fault. They were, to a certain extent, and perhaps the majority of the blame lay on him, but how can you push someone away and pull them close at the same time and still have a healthy relationship with that person?
From Yuki's past battle with multiple personality disorder, however mild and brief it had been, Shuichi knew that things on the surface of a person did not always reflect what they held secret on the inside, and mixed signals ran rampant throughout every aspect of the persons life, no matter who they were dealing with. Shuichi knew how Tohma must feel when interacting with Ryuichi and his changing personality. He did not envy the man at all and he only hoped that Ryuichi could improve, if not fix entirely, what was afflicting him. For everyone's sake.

It used to be that the more serious, older side of Ryu showed up only in professional situations, or in times of extreme stress, but after his break down there was no telling who you might be talking to at any given time. It was though there had been a brick wall between the two sides of his personality. A wall with only one door.
Stress and professionalism used to be part of the collection of very few keys that would open it and let the older side of him show through. However when Ryu broke down, the wall broke down with him. It was now a constant battle between the two halves over what was to be said, what their desires were; their dreams.

That was stressful enough for someone who was not, and had never been, romantically in love with the man, so Tohma must have the patience of a saint and a heart bigger and more devoted then people gave him credit for in order to be the support that this changing Ryuichi so often needed. Whether Ryu realized it or not was the biggest question, and one Shuichi knew the two of them were going to have to answer before either of them could really begin to heal.

On a few rare occasions both sides of him agreed on what they wanted, and those instances were occurring much more frequently, or at least so it appeared to Shuichi. He feared that one day one side was going to wipe the other out completely and he wasn't sure which side would win, nor which one he wanted to win.
On one hand the immature Ryuichi was fun to be around, and often times he shared the odd gleaned pearl of childlike wisdom with those closest to him. In this state of mind, his most natural state, he was often the best person to talk to about things because he held nothing back, and told it to you the way he saw it. No over thinking or weighing of sides, it was all black and white, cut and dry. Answers that could be difficult to get out of most adults. Things really were simpler through a child's eyes and sometimes his awkward little phrases or his ability to relay your problems back to you in an arbitrary manner put everything into perspective. He let you see things from a different angle and sometimes, to solve a difficult problem, that was how you needed things shown to you.

The more mature Ryuichi was equally wise, equally caring, though often times he was bitter and pensive, and much angrier in the way he presented himself. Shuichi was sure he had a lot of things to be angry about, and not a lot of “face time” to express them. His messages and emotions had a tendency to bleed through what Ryuichi was saying, tinting his innocence with much older words and making some of the things he said sound eerily ageless. Sometimes it was hard to know how to take these statements, the result of a blend between the opinion of two halves. In a mathematical sense if both sides contributed something that would make whatever came out a whole, and presumably the closest glimpse of what Ryuichi's personality might be like, if he had developed normally and without emotional trauma. Shuichi hoped that, whatever happened to him, that they would still remain close friends.

“Ryuichi I've got to go and talk to Yuki about some things. If K calls, or shows up here can you talk to him for me?”

Ryu looked sort of stunned, but he smiled and nodded, turning his attention back to the television.

As Shuichi walked out of the room he heard Ryuichi mumble something under his breath. “What was that Ryu?” he asked, pausing in the hallway. He noticed Kumagoro laying near his feet.

“I didn't say anything. It was Kumagoro.” Ryuichi called back, muting the TV.

“Oh.” Shuichi looked down at the rabbit smiling eerily up at him with blank eyes. “Okay, then what did he say?”

There was a pause.

“Sorry. He doesn't want me to tell you, he's shy…”

“That's fine.” Shuichi picked up the doll and carried him to Ryuichi. His fur was surprisingly soft and well kept, considering how old he was. “Maybe you two should have a little talk while I'm gone. I think he might have more things to say to you that he doesn't want me to hear.”

Ryuichi looked at the stuffed rabbit, then back up at his friend.
“I think your right, Shuichi.”

The pink haired singer smiled and left the room once again, this time making it all the way down the hallway to Yuki's study door.

When he opened it, he found Yuki perched oddly sideways at his desk. He was staring intently at the computer screen, the end of one arm of his reading glasses resting in his mouth.
He didn't look up when Shuichi came in and closed the door.

“Yuki?”

The blonde gave his head a little shake, quickly clicked off whatever he had been looking at and proceeded to look over at his partner standing near the door. He slid his glasses onto his head, pushing up his bangs before rubbing his eyes. Apparently he had been staring at whatever was on that screen for some time.

“Hm?” He asked softly, in a tone that was unusually docile.

Shuichi walked over and sat down on his usual corner of Yuki's desk. In fact he sat there so often Yuki unconsciously kept it clear of anything, in case the young singer decided he needed to sit there. Not that he enjoyed the brats company or anything…

“Tohma hasn't called you yet has he?” Shuichi asked, wincing a little.
“No, why?”
“Well…”
“What now?” Eiri reached over and rested his hand on Shuichi's thigh.

The singer took this as a sign the writer was in a good mood and scooted over on the desk, pushing his lovers laptop out of the way so he could rest his feet over Yuki's lap. Eiri moved both hands up onto Shuichi's legs, pulling his chest closer to them.

Shuichi sighed. “Sakuma-san and I…we went out together today because he had something to talk to me about, that he couldn't talk about at NG.” He looked over at Yuki to judge his reaction. So far so good. He continued.
“We got iced coffees down the street and went to talk in the park, you know the one I mean, with the nice fence?”

Eiri nodded silently, his eyes burning with intrigue.
“Anyway, he needed a little support so we hugged and I told him everything was going to be okay. We talked about Tohma, and himself and… you… and he said he didn't blame you for anything that happened between Tohma and himself.”

“Does this story have a point?” Eiri asked sharply. “Because if it does you better get to it quick.” He pushed Shuichi's legs off the chair and moved away from the desk so the boy couldn't put them back.

“I'm sorry, yes it does have a point. Please let me finish.” Shuichi crossed his legs on top of the desk and looked at the floor.
“Someone got it on video with their phone. It was all over the gossip programs tonight. They're saying I'm cheating on you with him, that we're having an affair. And…”

And? There's more?” Eiri didn't seem the least bit pleased by any of this news.

“And… K had to tell Tohma about our engagement. Which is why I thought he might have called you. I wonder how he took the news.”

The novelist sat very still, not saying anything and not looking at his partner.

“Eiri I'm sorry. I didn't mean for any of this to happen. I know you didn't want Tohma to know yet, but-”

“Get out.”
“What? But, I didn't-”
“I said get out! Go!”

Shuichi got off the desk and moved to the other side of it. He leaned over the desk on both arms and looked his lover square in the eyes.

“I'm not going anywhere until you tell me why you're upset! Aren't you happy? Aren't you proud of how far we've come together? Aren't you glad to be moving on with your life and leaving him behind?”

Eiri put his face in his hands and roared in frustration. “I don't know okay?! Am I happy about us? Yes! Am I happy about what you just told me? No, I'm not! Stop asking me questions that I don't know the answers too!”

Shuichi moved back around to Eiri's side of the desk and hugged him. The blonde withdrew himself as much as he could, but soon gave in and let himself be held.
“Yes. It is okay. You have every right to be upset about this, Tohma was a big part of your life and it would be so wrong of me to ask you to forget him and all the things he's done for you.”

“Huh,” The writer scoffed, “You make it sound like I was some helpless kid who needed him to do everything for me.”

“But Eiri it's true. You know it's true. You were helpless once. And that's okay. He was there for you when you needed him the most, and I'm sure he always will be.”

“Yeah… he was.” Eiri looked at the floor.
“He was everything to me once. He was the only one I had. He'd hold my hand and make everything right again.” Eiri rubbed his eyes quickly with the back of his hand. “But that was a long time ago. I'm sure he thinks he can bring me back around or something, back to the way things used to be. This whole business with Sakuma-san has gotten him even clingier than ever.”

“I guessed that much. And you didn't want him to know about us, because of that? Because you don't want him to be even more hurt than he already is?”

Eiri shrugged. “I guess so, yes. I do love you Shuichi, but because he still loves me, in his own way, it almost feels like…like I'm being unfaithful to our memories together by wanting to live the rest of my life with you. I wasn't sure how to deal with him, or the memories. That's why I didn't want him to know.”

“But you can't keep living in the past Eiri. Its gone, and it'll never come back so there's no sense waiting for it, or living unhappily because you expect things to revert back to the way they were. I want to help you through this, but I can't do that if every time I want to talk to you about something you push me away.”

“I know and I'm sorry. God, I just want all of this stuff to stop. I want to go away. I want to go somewhere that nothing can find us so we can just be happy.”

“I know how you feel. It seems like nothing is going well for us, at a point in our lives where everything should be perfect, but that's life. It doesn't always turn out the way you want it to, but feeling bad about it and wallowing in self pity and doubt isn't going to fix things. You have to think about all the good things you've been given, instead of just the bad.”

Eiri looked up at Shuichi and gave him a puzzled look. “How can you be so damn optimistic all the time?”

“Good breeding I guess!” Shuichi smiled. “I'm just built to find the good in every situation. I've always been that way.”

Yuki smiled softly and put an arm around his lovers back. “Well at least one of us was put together properly. God knows I wasn't.”

Shuichi smiled and knelt down beside Eiri's chair so he could rest his head against the blondes chest. “I think you were built perfectly. Everything about you is just right, exactly the way you were meant to be. It's like I said before, the things that happened to you in your past made you who you are and that's the man I fell in love with at first sight. Flaws and all.”

Yuki rolled his eyes. “And I still stand by my opinion that you,” He quipped jovially as he crossed his arms matter-of-factly, “Have some sort of mutant brain defect that makes you ferociously attracted to cavalier assholes like me.”

“Hey!” Shuichi slapped Eiri playfully on the thigh as the blond laughed. “You know you shouldn't take having me loving you for granted! Who knows how long it would have taken you to find some woman to put up with all your baggage! You had an entire cargo ship full of it in case you don't remember, and I had to unload that whole boat by myself! By hand!”

The novelist cocked his head to one side and scrunched up his face, as though he were thinking very hard.

“Mm…Probably not very long considering I was beating them off with a stick when you came along and suddenly declared ownership over me...and over the stick.” Shuichi swatted at him again and Eiri tried to dodge it playfully.
“Hey and who's to say I'd have ended up with a woman at all? Maybe I'd have found myself a nice callous jerk instead?” He laughed wittily, “Someone with as much baggage as I had and who dealt with it the proper way; by drinking.”

Shuichi threw his hands into the air and stood up. “You are completely hopeless…but, you want to know something?”

“No, not really. I would like a beer though, if you're offering.”

“Shut up! I'm being serious.”

“I was just kidding okay?” Eiri grinned. “What do I want to know?”

Shuichi leaned in close.
“Well I just figured you should know that I love you no matter what comes along with you. Whether it's baggage, a terrible personality or even Tohma stuck to your leg, I don't care in the least.”

“You? Love me? No way!” The blond shot sarcastically.

“Mhm, Forever and ever, Beautiful.” Shuichi said, leaning in and kissing Eiri softly on the lips. He pulled out of the kiss and said quickly,
“Even when your bald and gross like your dad.”

It was Eiri's turn to take a playful swat at his lover. He had a limited range of movement however, a disadvantage which Shuichi happily exploited by jumping out of the way, squealing in mock terror, and giggling voraciously as he ran.

“Come here Brat.” Eiri demanded sharply, beckoning him with his hand.

Shuichi paused and thought for a moment. “Umm, I think I'm going to have to decline.” he sat down on the black chaise lounge in the far corner of the room, sticking his tongue out at his fiancé, taunting him.

“I'd reconsider that if I were you.”

Shuichi couldn't tell if it was a trick or not, but he decided to humour his poor crippled lover.

The singer approached cautiously, watching for any beginning signs of movement that might end up being directed at him in a less than thoughtful manner. Eiri didn't move a muscle, he just sat there watching calmly as Shuichi edged closer and closer. Finally he was back, occupying the few feet of space between Eiri and the desk.
He nearly jumped out of his skin when his lover extended his hand towards him.

“Calm down, I'm not going to hit you! Now, come over here.”

Shuichi hesitantly took the offered hand and walked the few steps from where he had been, pressed against the desk, to stop, pressed against the side of Yuki's chair. He felt pleasantly at ease by his lovers side, but when Eiri's hand didn't stop pulling, Shuichi was forced to bend further and further over. Finally he had to crawl right into his lovers lap or he would have fallen over. The writer winced a little as Shuichi wriggled around and got himself settled, knees on either side of the blondes hips.

“Sorry!” Shuichi apologized, “But you know you did pull me here a- mhmff!”
Eiri leaned in and silenced him with a kiss. It was soft, not too deep, but demanding enough for him to get his intentions across. Shuichi groaned and tried to pull away, but the novelist held his arms so he couldn't escape.

When they finally needed to pull apart to take bigger breaths Shuichi gasped and leaned forward, resting his head on Yuki's shoulder.
“I want to, you know I do, I-”

“Then let's do it. I don't see the problem.”

“But I told you before, we can't! Not here! Not when Ryuichi…is…ah…” The singers words faded away into sighs and tiny gasps as Eiri started to nibble harder on his lovers neck and collar bone.

“If that idiot is stupid enough to come in here,” The novelist stated between nips, “Even with all the noise you make, then I say let him. He probably wouldn't know what we were doing anyway…”

“Yes, he would!” Shuichi groaned, “You know as well as …ah, as I do he and your brother are together.”

Eiri started to pull his lovers sweater up so he could get at his nipples and the rest of his chest.
“Something I try very hard to forget, now stop squirming and lift your arms up so I can take this off you.”

Shuichi whined in protest, but Eiri was persistant and managed to get the orange garment up, over and off of his fiancé's head. He tossed it to the ground as though he couldn't bare to look at it for one second longer.
When the open air touched his skin, a tiny wave of pin pricks washed over Shuichi's naked torso, traveling from his shoulders all the way down to his finger tips and toes. He shuddered and his nipples started to harden in the cool air.

“That's a bit better.” The blonde leaned forward once more and started to tease one of Shuichi's tightening dusky buds with the tip of his tongue. He flicked his tongue over it, back and forth as his thumb and ring finger gently rolled the other nipple between them, his index finger occasionally stroking it's peak.

“You always get the cutest look on your face when I play with your nipples like this. Most girls don't get off on having their nipples played with as much as you do.”

“Don't talk about them when you're, ahn!”

“You didn't let me finish. I was about to say that they aren't nearly as beautiful or adorable as you either, and I much prefer you to them.”

“Well still, I don't like it when you talk about them when we're having sex. I don't talk to you about the other people I've had sex with!”

Eiri rolled his eyes. “That's because you haven't had sex with anyone else but me…Unless, doing it with yourself counts.”

“Yah, well, what would you know? A lot of people liked me when I was in high school. I even dated a few girls I'll have you know!” Shuichi declared proudly, his back arching as Eiri placed a particularly firm bite on the skin just below his right nipple.

“How many is a few? Like one or two? My, you crazed lothario. Not that it matters, since you probably left them standing on their doorsteps after an awkward kiss so you could rush home and jerk off to pictures of Ryuichi.”

Shuichi didn't say anything back, he just rolled his neck slowly and closed his eyes as Yuki started to kiss and lick at his lower chest and navel.

“But regardless,” Eiri said as he started to undo his lovers pants, “You're mine now and that's all that matters.”

Shu groaned and writhed trying desperately not to cry out, even though his chest felt like it was on fire in the best possible way. He was ninety-nine percent sure Ryuichi would have enough sense to stay out of the room, regardless of what he heard, but that one pesky percent left over was killing him.

“Nnh! Oh, I…Yuki wait! Just hold on, Let me…” He wiggled and twisted and finally was able to get off the chair. He ran over to the office's door and locked it. He turned back around and Eiri could see the lust burning in his lover's eyes.

Smiling devilishly, the blonde beckoned him back with his finger. “Now, come back over here. I've got something to give you that I'm fairly certain you're going to like.”

Shuichi didn't need to be asked twice. In fact he already had his pants off and was about to go the fully monty when their doorbell started to ring quite rapidly.

“I'll get it!” Shuichi heard Ryu call as rapid footsteps faded off into the apartment.

Yuki and Shu just looked at each other as they strained to hear who was at the door. The doorbell rang a few more times, so Ryuichi obviously hadn't opened it. They heard footsteps running towards the office door.
There was a knock.

“Shuichi I know you two are busy but you need to come out here! There's reporters outside and I'm pretty sure me opening the door of your apartment isn't going to help deny the rumour that we're sleeping together!”

Shuichi frowned then looked back at Yuki. “What should we do?”

“You go out there and tell Sakuma to get in the spare room. The last thing we need is for him to be seen in here. I'll call Tohma and see what he can do to get rid of them. And if he can't do anything then …I don't know I guess we either ignore them or talk to them. The bloods not exactly in the most opportune place for thinking up PR shit right now.”

Shuichi started to put his clothes back on. “Tell me about it. We'll have to continue this later.” He gave his lover a quick kiss on the cheek before heading for the door.

“Hmm, this has sort of been an ongoing session today, hasn't it? I wonder if Ryuichi's going to just jump right into bed with us later for the grand finale, or if he'll leave us alone so we can fuck in peace? I don't know how much more of these interruptions my cock can take…”

Shuichi laughed. “I doubt he'd do that! He loves your brother too much. And yes the first time it was sort of his fault, but you are pretty mean and I had been gone a long time.”

“Irrelevant. He still interrupted and I still ought to kill him, especially now. I mean it's his fault you two were out together and this whole mess started anyway.” Eiri immediately regretted what he'd said because he knew that even as stupid as Ryuichi was, he wouldn't deliberately do something like this. The writer was just unhappy about how the whole afternoon had gone and taking it out on the nearest scapegoat.

“Now that isn't fair. He didn't mean for this to happen and you know it.”

“I know, I know I'm just frustrated. Physically, mentally…sexually, no thanks to you!”

“Oh right, like I started it? Who was trying to seduce me in the bedroom huh?”

“Fine, whatever, now get out I need to call Tohma.”

Shuichi smiled because he had won yet another battle. It was happening more and more these days for which he was very happy.

He unlocked the door and stepped into the hallway. “Thanks for not opening the front door. You need to take Kitty and Kumagoro and go into the spare room for a few minutes. Make sure the blinds are closed okay?”

“Okay, sounds good.” The older of the two started to walk away, but paused. “Oh and sorry about interrupting you guys. Sounded like you were really getting into it…”

Shuichi blushed feverishly and looked at the ground. “Uh, w-what gave you that idea? We were just, you know, talking and stuff.”

Ryuichi gave the pink haired singer a knowing look. “Sure you were.”
He looked down at Shuichi's pants, which were still looking a little on the tented side. Shuichi looked down too and could have died when he realized what Ryu had been looking at. Ryuichi just laughed and shook his head as he walked away, calling for Kitty.
The doorbell continued to ring.

AN: Huh it's been so long since I updated this…well actually not nearly as long as it took me to update the last few times. Anyway, wow 30 chapters? I made this one long to celebrate! Hope you liked it and I'm sooo sorry for the three part sex scene, you thought you were going to get to see the whole thing this time didn't you? A little office sex would have been hot, but alas those darn reporters had to come and interupt out star crossed love makers yet again. When will it end? The next chapter more than likely! Ha ha!
See you then!

Passing Reader:
Wow yes a little late indeed but I am sure glad you stopped by! I do so luff getting long reviews! I love that you are not the first person to comment on the evolution of the characters, it just reaffirms that I am doing something properly for once, as I fully intended on having that happen. I am living proof that people change, and once again my life parallels with Yuki but now so in our relationships with the people we care about most. Case and point, he loved Tohma to death and all of a sudden something happened to him and changed that forever. Now he despises the person he once cared for so much. I am similar. My dad used to be my whole world, we were the best friends and now through the divorce, I've see a side of him I never knew existed and I am not so blind now that I cannot see his true nature, one which I no longer care for. Not that I hate him, but I do dislike him much more than I did, say this time last year. So I know a thing or two about change. And you will be seeing the continuation of poor lonely Hiro sometimes soon do not fret! I haven't forgotten about it! Please review again it was lovely to read your opinions and have you put your insight into the how and why's of the fic. It's very refreshing.
