As Shuichi predicted, Eiri was not pleased that Ryuichi was coming to stay with them. The two singers had entered the apartment quietly, removed their shoes and crept slowly towards the guest bedroom. Shuichi was unsure where his lover would be and didn't want to run into him unexpectedly whilst trying to sneak Ryu into the apartment. Things were going well and if it hadn't been for the older singer commenting on the new abstract art piece Eiri had hung in the foyer, the writer wouldn't have known he was there at all.

Unfortunately, he did find out and the moment Ryu finished complementing “The really pretty finger painting!” A loud, disgruntled, “That had better not be Ryuichi!” resounded from the master bedroom.
Shuichi and Ryu both looked at each other and winced. Ryu's eyes conveyed his apology, but Shuichi shook his head.
“It's fine Ryu, I'll go talk to him.”

He guided his guest to the spare bedroom, silently glad he had taken the initiative and straightened it out. “You can leave your stuff here and go make yourself at home out in the living room,” He said as he moved a few things off of the double, western style bed, and into a corner of the room. “I've got to go and talk to Yuki before he gets too mad…”

“You didn't tell him I was coming, did you?” Ryu asked softly as he opened the cat carrier in his hands and let Kitty out.

“No, because it's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission! If I had asked earlier he would have said no. I would have brought you here anyway, and he would have been furious because he had already said you couldn't come…It's just easier this way, trust me.”

Ryu gave Shuichi a look of questioning.
“I'm not really one to say anything here since Tohma practically runs my life,” he pointed out bitterly as Kitty jumped up into his lap, “but you shouldn't have to ask him for permission, this is your house too.”

Shuichi sighed. “I know it is, but…”
“But? But nothing, it's just as much your place as it is his, and if you want to have a guest over then why do you need to run it by him? Would he ask you if he wanted to have someone over?”

Shuichi was at a loss for words. Ryuichi had never scolded him before. Their adventures together that day had led to a barrage of firsts, and Shu had a feeling that this was only the tip of the iceberg.
Shu sat down next to the brunette on the bed and sighed.
“No, he wouldn't,” he admitted honestly. Eiri would never want to have anyone he knew over, but he understood Sakuma's point.
“I know that this might sound strange to you, but I don't mind the arrangement we have.”

Ryu was perplexed. “Why not?”
Shuichi thought for a moment.
“It's complicated.” He folded his small hands in his lap. He could see that Ryuichi was expecting an explanation, so he continued.
“Even though this is an apartment that we share, that we picked out together… It's still Yuki's house. You know what I mean?”

Ryu shook his head, “No, not really.”
“Well, I lived in my own apartment for roughly a month after I left my parents' place. Then I decided I didn't want to live so far away from Yuki so I kind of just moved in without asking him.” The singer smiled and laughed softly as he retold his story.
“I just showed up at his front door with all my stuff one day! That he let me stay without putting up much of a fight was a miracle…”

Ryuichi knew all of this already, but he listened attentively as he had never actually heard any of it first hand. All his info had trickled down through Yuki-san to Tohma and finally to himself.
It made for a warped sense of reality, especially when nearly all his knowledge and information came to him in much the same manner.

“Over the course of our relationship Eiri has moved a few times, but it was only this last time that he brought me with him to look at the places he liked, to get my opinion and to have me sign the lease agreement.” Shuichi smiled brightly, as if the fact his fiancé had done that still pleased the hell out of him. “In short, he knows what will and won't fly with me and I know the same of him. We have our own little system for working these things out, so don't worry.”

Ryu cocked his head like a confused dog. “So you're saying you've always done things this way, and even though this is your house too, you both keep up the charade that Novelist-san is the boss?”

Shuichi laughed. That was pretty much it.
“Yeah, he likes to pretend he still runs things around here.” Shuichi giggled as he walked over to the door. “But when push comes to shove, we all know who really runs the show.” He opened the door. “I've got him wrapped so tight around this finger that I'm surprised it hasn't fallen off!” Shu replied cheerfully over his shoulder as he held up his ring finger and wiggled the jewelry on it.

Ryu smiled as Shuichi left the room. While the brunette didn't fully understand what Shu saw in Yuki-san, he had to admit that the two of them seemed to be just what the other needed. Most people were just as puzzled by Shuichi's effusively poignant commitment to Yuki Eiri who was, for lack of a better word, obdurate.
In fact people found him so cold, he was often times compared to the moon. From a distance, it was bright, beautiful and without imperfection. It was something people wished they could get close enough to, to touch and to feel. Upon realizing the closeness they so desperately aspired to achieve, they found it was still beautiful, but also cold, desolate and inhospitable. A place where nothing would make people happier then to be as far away from it as possible. The comparison was uncannily precise, albeit the moon was supposed to be that way and human beings were most certainly not.

While countless fans and people figured there were more laid back, energetic, fun loving people in the world that could easily be a much better match for Bad Lucks lead singer, Ryuichi could see now that a person like that would not be a good choice for his friend. Opposites attract, as they say and Shuichi and Yuki-san were certainly on the opposite ends of the spectrum from each other. They balanced each other out beautifully, and to Ryu it was irrefutable that no matter what the case was, incongruous as they were, Yuki Eiri and Shindou Shuichi belonged together.

Ryuichi, happily content smile on his face, picked up his kitten and proceeded towards the living room to wait for Shuichi to get back from the lions den, where he was busy taming the beast.

“Did your brain lose what little ability it had to think?” Eiri questioned his lover harshly, as soon as the shorter man entered the bedroom. “What is that hyperactive nut-case doing in my house?”
Shu's eyes locked with Eiri's and he took immediate defensive recourse.

“Shh! You be quiet!” The singer hissed viciously, causing his lover to draw back, eyes widening in shock, “First off, this is just as much my house as it is yours! I pay half the rent and half the utilities and that means I have every right to have a guest over if I want!” Shuichi glared at Eiri with fire in his eyes as the blonde stared back in a surprised stupor.

“Secondly, Ryu's going through all seven circles of emotional hell, Tatsuha had to leave him to appease your father and now Tohma is on his case about the two of them getting back together, because heaven forbid that blonde leech should be lonely and unneeded for five seconds! My friend is sitting 30 feet away in the living room right now and he doesn't need to hear insults from anyone, least of all from you, so watch your mouth!”

The writer was floored. Never had he let anyone get away with speaking to him like that, but for some reason his mouth didn't want to say anything in his own defense and for some odd reason, he was…turned on?

Shuichi marched over to his side of the bed and sat down hard, arms crossed, gaze averted, his shoulder shaking. Neither of them said anything for a while, but when Shu couldn't take the tension and started to sob weakly, Eiri immediately felt like a callous jerk. He was also very glad he hadn't remarked what he had been thinking, about Shuichi's balls finally dropping.
He pulled Shu over and put a comforting arm around his lover.
“Sorry,” He whispered penitently into Shuichi's ear as he held him.
Shu snuggled into the writers embrace, resting his head on Eiri's shoulder.
“It's just that he's going through so much right now, and there's not much anyone can do for him! A-and when I bring him here to help him take his mind off of things, to be in a safe environment and have some fun, you make things worse by saying stuff like that about him. I just--I…”

Eiri patted his fiancé's back. The last thing he wanted was a sopping wet shoulder. “Calm down spaz, take a deep breath. I said I'm sorry, okay?”
Shuichi pulled out of Eiri's grip.
“But I don't need you to say sorry to me!” he gasped, “I need you to find your sympathy switch and turn it back on for a few days so you can be nice to Ryuichi!”
Ouch. Eiri rolled his eyes and prepared to swallow a rather sizable chunk of his pride.
“Fine. I'll try to be nice. This time. And only because you asked so pathetically. ”
In actuality, the writer knew all too well what it was like to be bullied unnecessarily when you where going through your very own personal hell. He had to admit it was not an enjoyable experience. He just didn't want to admit it because then Shuichi would be right.

The singer leaned up to plant a kiss on his partners temple. “Thank you,” he whispered as he slowly inhaled the smell of his lovers hair; arms wrapping around his neck. Depending on the situation, the smell could be enough to drive Shuichi wild, or to bring him out of a funk and calm him down. Today it had a warm, soothing effect over his stressed out body, much to Eiri's dismay. He was still feeling the arousing effects of the tongue lashing he had received only minutes previous. He was fairly certain something would have to be done about it before he could go and pretend to be nice to anyone, but getting Shuichi to feel the same way, he knew, was going to be a challenge.

When Shu began to pull back, Eiri placed a hand on his lower back, to hold him in place. “I missed you while you were out today,” he purred subtly, in the needy, amorous voice he was famous for.

It was the singers turn to roll his eyes. “Are you saying that because it's true…or because you're horny?”
He craned his neck, nervously trying to hear if Ryu was watching TV.
Eiri was afraid he would ask that. Despite the fact that the writer really had missed his lover while the boy was out, Shuichi had given him a unique opportunity to not admit to his feelings and, potentially, still get what he wanted.
“Because I'm horny,” he lied, as he started to kiss Shuichi's collar bone and throat.

“I figured so,” Shu murmured as he languidly tilted his head to the side, “Mmm that's nice...But we can't right now.” He sat forward, unwinding himself from Eiri's grasp.
Frustrated, the blonde scowled at his lover as the younger man got off the bed.

“Don't give me that look! Can't it wait until later?” Shuichi asked, a note of irritation in his voice. For all that Eiri had been through, he could still be so unbelievably juvenile sometimes.

“This is all your fault anyway, so no it can't.” The writer declared stubbornly.
“What do you mean this is my fault? I didn't do anything but yell at you! I-”
Shuichi got a curious look on his face, as though he had just learned a big secret and wasn't sure what he was going to do with it. Eiri just glared at the wall behind Shuichi's head.

“You don't… like it when I yell at you, do you Yuuuki?”
Ryuichi would have to wait a little while longer, this was just too good of an opportunity to pass up. He walked over towards the bed and knelt on it with one knee. “You don't… like it… when I'm angry at you, do you?” He crept closer.

“You don't like when I tell you what to do hmm?”
The look on Eiri's face told a different story.
“Oh so you do? My, what a bad little boy you are, Eiri-kun.”

“Don't call me that, Brat.” Eiri hissed tensely, his gaze fixed on his tormentor, his heart suddenly pounding against his chest.
Shuichi knew he was walking on thin ice, but he pressed on.
“But why not?” He asked disappointedly, with just a hint of seduction as he slithered up Eiri's side and wrapped his arms around his neck.

“Because I said so…you're…not…ahhn.” Shuichi started to exhale hot puffs of breath on his lovers ear, distracting him.
“Really? That's interesting, Because something hard pressing against my leg is telling me otherwise, Eiri-kun.”
The blonde gasped again and shuddered as Shuichi put a hand down inside his sweatpants to wrap around his hardening cock. Eiri had been having a lazy kind of day, so he wasn't even wearing underwear to dull the initial spark of first contact.
“See? I knew you were lying, but I can stop if you really want me to.”
He began to remove his hand.

“Don't.” Eiri whispered faintly.
“Don't what?” Shuichi froze his hand where it was.
“Don't stop.”
Shuichi sat their for a minute, pondering exaggeratedly.
“Well…since you are asking me not to stop, I guess I could keep going…but on one condition.”

Eiri groaned. “What would that be?”
The singer leaned in extra close.
“You have to beg me. Say `My darling sugar plum, my gorgeous funny, talented one and only, please please please with a cherry on top will you blow me?' And I might consider it, if you sound sincere.”
The writer stared in disbelief.
“You're joking right? If you think for one minute that you can manipulate me into playing your little games tonight you're wrong, Brat. I-”

Shuichi shrugged in disinterest and moved to get off the bed.
“No no no wait!” The blonde grabbed his lovers arm, “Stay! Just give me a second to think about this.”

There came precious few times in a mans life where the cut of his sails were tested, the strength of his will pulled and stretched to it's limit, where he really found out what he was made of. This, was one of those times.

Shuichi had gotten so good at giving head that it was hardly an offer to pass on, but was it really worth the personal degradation of begging for it? After a mere ten seconds of good hard assessment, he decided that, yes, it most definitely was.

“Alright fine. I'll…beg. But, if one word of this gets out to anyone you're sleeping bare ass naked in the trunk of my car for the rest of the year, and don't think I can't make that happen you little twerp.”

Shuichi did a mental back flip across the room, but outwardly he was quite collected. Wriggling with excitement, but collected none the less.

“Deal,” he said nonchalantly as he stretched his arms out over Eiri's thighs, absently rubbing and massaging them with fingers that knew exactly where they were going, “Now lets hear it, Stud.”

The novelist groaned and averted his eyes to stare at the floor, but that got him a shrewd reprimand. “Uh uh uh! Lets have those baby blues focused on me please and thank you!”

“God you're going to make this difficult…alright fine.”
Eiri looked Shuichi right in the eyes, took a deep breath and began his remuneration speech.

“My darling sugar plum, my gorgeous, funny, talented one and only, please please please with a cherry on top will you blow me?”

Shuichi giggled at how sappily his lovers voice sounded. He didn't actually think he was going to win this one.
He licked his soft, pink lips suggestively. “Well since you asked so nicely…I guess I could oblige your request.”

Much to Eiri's annoyance, the moment Shuichi pulled his pants down there was a rapid percussion of loud banging on the bedroom door, followed by two small meows and a, “Shu-chan!? Are you still alive in there?!”

Shuichi looked up quickly at Yuki's face, which was hovering somewhere between seething hatred and utter loathing.
“I'm going to kill him. I swear to god I'm going to fucking kill him. I don't care how much he's worth to Tohma, he's a dead man.”

Shuichi smiled, but when Eiri attempted to get off the bed, he realized the novelist was serious and jumped on his chest to hold him down.
“Get off me you idiot!” The blonde cried as he wriggled and twisted to try and dump Shuichi onto the floor.

“Yes, Ryu I'm still alive I--Oww! Eiri quit that!”

Eiri had whacked him over the head with a throw pillow. Shuichi tried to grab it from him, but the bigger man held it away.
“Nope, I'm physically disadvantaged. I get a weapon.”
He whacked him again.
Shuichi growled in light hearted frustration and leaned forward, wrapping his limbs around his lover, pinning all of Eiri's appendages to his body. All of them.

“Oww! Get the fuck off of me you derange house ape! You're crushing the goods!” But Shuichi held fast.

“Nope, sorry, not until you swear you won't hurt Ryuichi if I let you up.”

Eiri groaned in anger, pain and irritation.
“Fine, He can live, but you owe me big time, Brat.”

Shuichi smiled and kissed his lover fervently. “Fine by me. I'll pay you back later, Gorgeous.”

And with that he rolled off of Eiri and onto the floor with a soft thud.
Eiri reached down immediately and gingerly massaged his groin, wincing.
“You better, or the spare tire in the trunk of my car's going to be getting a room mate.”

“Shuichi are you okay!?” Ryu called loudly.

“Yes yes I'm fine! I just fell off of Yu--uh, the bed! Be out in a minute!”

The pink haired singer got off the floor, kissed Eiri quickly on the lips and headed over to the door.
“What do you want to eat for supper?” he asked his lover who was also getting up, though much slower.

“God, if you two are cooking it, then nothing.”
He said as he rubbed his face exhaustedly and reached for his glasses on the bed side table.

Shuichi ignored him.
“Well I was thinking we would make okonomiyaki [1]. It's something we all like, and Ryu has made it for me before, so if you don't mind him helping me cook…”

“Whatever. Just get out of here.”
Eiri secretly loved the thick pan fried cakes, they were one of his favorite non-dessert dishes, especially the pork variety.

“Great!” Shuichi exclaimed. “We'll have to go shopping and get what we need for it, because I know we're out of cabbage and I don't think we have any dashi powder [2] either…”

“Make sure you pick up some sliced pork while you're out too.”
Shu smiled because he knew pork was Eiri's favorite kind.
“Okay, I'll get some. Well, I'll see you when we get back!”

He stepped out of the room and closed the door, Ryu nattering his ear off as their voices faded away into the rest of the house.
Eiri sighed as he got up onto his crutches and headed for the bath. He wondered briefly what he had done to piss off the gods, or why they hated him so much, but Baby snuck into the bedroom with Kitty right behind her, and the two of them began playing with the pants on his one good leg.
He just smiled and sighed again as he looked down and watched them. They were cute, he had to admit, and since he didn't have to do any of the care taking or picking up after Baby, he was actually kind of glad she was around. He never knew how much he missed going out, until he couldn't, and though he hated to admit it, it was nice to have a friend at home to keep him company. At least until Shuichi came home.

[1b] Here is a great recipe in case you want to make some yourself and try it out! My Obi uses the actual sauce you are supposed to put on it when she makes it for me, but I use teriyaki sauce and mayo on top at home and it tastes just as good! http://www.visualrecipes.com/recipe-details/recipe_id/120/Okonomiyaki-aka-J apanese-Pizza/

AN: Well things have kind of settled down for me. I moved back home with my mom and brother and I'm in the interview process to start working part time at a bank. $14.50 an hour, 20 hours a week, no late shifts, no weekends, no holidays. Sounds pretty good to me, and there's potential for it to turn full time in 6 months…Moving back solved pretty much all my problems, and while I am not completely healed, I am getting there. My friend and I are back to being as close as we were before, though we had been sort of feuding over mindless stuff. It was mostly my fault and I realized what a bitch I was being to her, but it was because of the emotional and physical stress I had been under. Plus it's hard to have a heart to heart with someone over the internet…Anyways so…almost 30 chapters huh? Wow…Nice to see some new reviewers here this time around! Thanks for dropping your reviews, and I'm glad you like the story!…
…Make the okonomiyaki…it's so f-ing good you'll cry…I'm going to go make it for supper right now…lol! Never write when you're hungry and craving Japanese food! ^_^

For MM.org Reviewers:
DarkInuyashaAngel101:
Thanks for dropping a review! And thanks for the well wishes. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and continue to let me know what you think! Good, bad, neutral, I don't care, I just like to hear it! ^_~

Belle ange:
Once again my dear I am super happy that you reviewed (lol this time more than once!) and I am also thoroughly pleased that you are continuing to enjoy my rendition of our little Eiri-kun. LMAO! Sorry I don't know why that was so funny…
Anyways I do have to say, even though you don't think It is necessary or important, I do appreciate all your reviews, all your comments and all your support when I get rude flamers who obviously don't know their ass from the elbow when it comes to fanfiction…

While there are some people out there, some writers I should say, that believe in the mantra, “If you don't like it, then don't review!” but I have to say I am against it. I love getting bad reviews, just as much as good ones, because it keeps me real, and it keeps my style changing. I love your reviews especially since you always get my mind going with your little predictions on what will happen next. It's also nice to know what you are looking forward to seeing happen as well, because sometimes I have no intention of expanding on a certain topic or action, simply because I hadn't thought of it, until I read what you write and it gets me thinking. So you do contribute a great deal when you review and I think you deserve a lot more credit then you get. I'm not a religious person by any stretch of the imagination, but I thank you for the prayer just the same. Who knows, maybe it did some good this time around, since I have been a much happier person as of late.

Creotia flayier:
Let me first say thank you, and second that I love your name! I had to read it twice since it kind of boggled my brain, but I just love how it sounds! So kudos to you hun! Also I am glad to hear you as well find this humorous. I don't know how many times I have been told I have a weird sense of humor, and when I write sometimes things that make me laugh when I write them, I am not so sure will make others laugh as well. If you are finding it humorous then I guess my fears are unfounded.

Ah, finally someone who sees the originality of my incapacitating our poor Yuki. Lol actually this review made me laugh simply because it is true, and that I originally had planned on having Shuichi get hurt skiing…That I did so much set up and work to try and make that happen, all to have Yuki present himself so vibrantly as a much more perfect candidate for pain, well…I am a little nuts I guess! It happened kind of by accident and I just sort of went with it. Writing Eiri in pain is really bazaar and difficult, I don't recommend trying it out…it kind of scares you. That's probably why most people don't attempt it. I apologized out loud to him after I finished that chapter, just in case he was wanting to strike me down from his godly mental nimbus cloud for even thinking to put him in such a vulnerable position… But I have to say it has worked out beautifully. So thank you!

For Gurabite Reviewers:

Yaoi911:
Lol wow thank you for all those extra letters, it makes me feel so special and young again *hears her bones cracking*. Really glad you like this and I'm really gla dyou decided to review. I apologize If I say this is your first time reviewing and it isn't. I do tend to keep tabs on my reviewers and stuff, but I just honestly can't remember if you have or not…anyways, thank you all the same for the extra large chocolate poky, my favorite! How did you know!? ^_^

Dax:
Ah Dax, I love you! Your reviews are always so funny, well worded and insightful, I look forward to reading them every chapter, but it's okay if you are busy! Don't have to apologize! And thank you, I figured one of the other characters needed to have some thinking done too. And with a wedding to plan there definitely is a lot of thinking to be done!
Lol the ghost voice was my favorite too, I laughed my ass off when I pictured him doing that and so I just had to put it in. I see it was not under appreciated.

As far as Mika goes, I agree. I cant believe she's having Tohma's kid…but remember it might not be his! *giggles cuz I`m evil* Lol you'll have to wait and see, that Mika gets around almost as much as Tohma, on account of her having a fairy for a husband! ^_~ I do agree that it would take a special kind of woman (or man for that matter) to love him, but for some strange reason their relationship works. How long it will last, well, that's to be seen. But I mean none of those Uesugi kids are in what you would call “perfect” relationships either are they? I mean Yuki and Shuichi obviously have had the most coverage, but Tatsuha and Ryuichi are no billboard couple either. Seems everyone's got their share of relationship woes in that family, except maybe papa Uesugi, but then again his wife is dead so that's not too peachy either…
