Chapter 2 Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me

Shuichi had already chewed his fingernails down to the stub, drank five cups of tea, eaten three boxes of strawberry pocky to settle his stomach, and worn himself out by pacing holes into the floor…so yeah you could say he was a little nervous. Okay, well more than a little. If he were going to admit the truth he would have to say that he was completely dying from anxiety. He had got approximately zero hours of sleep, so his eyes were rimmed with dark circles as he almost constantly yawned as he threw back gallons of caffeine.

The reason why he was such a tripped out mess you ask? Well that would be because the pink haired wanna-be actor couldn't get those smoldering golden eyes out of his head. He couldn't get the feeling of pleasure that coursed through his veins when he touched that gorgeous face, but most of all he couldn't help but feel like a complete and utter failure at the snobby bastard's critique!

Snarling under his breath, Shuichi clenched his fists as his anger towards the jerk off a stranger came back full force. How dare he cut him down! He didn't even know him! The only acting he had even seen him do was lines meant to have a reply back as he ran backwards in attempt to stay with the blond as he tried to walk away. Not only that, but he had insulted his singing, and that he knew was wrong! He had a great voice…didn't he?

He slumped down into the waiting chair as he waiting to be called in for auditions. Great, yesterday he had been carefree and full of confidence, and now he doubted everything that he had ever believed in. If he ever saw that guy again he was going to kick him square in the balls…well either that or kiss him. Shuichi nodded to himself as he decided…he was definitely going to kick him in the balls.

It didn't help matters that his supposed best friend who he told absolutely everything to and who always helped him through his problems was conveniently still missing. Shuichi sniffled as he downed another glass of oolong tea. How was he going to get through this without Hiro? This was going to be a disaster…he was going to fall flat on his face and end up playing the part of a tree! Wait…did they even have trees in this play? No, definitely not…they had can-can girls. Violet eyes widened in fear. A very very scary picture of him in a can-can dress showing off his underwear to men who wanted to screw him. He was going to get stuck be molested by dirty old men and it was all that bastard's fault!

“Hey Shu!” A vein popped in the young actor's head as he turned fiery eyes towards his good-natured friend. Hiro was just smiling kindly at him, but at seeing the stressed at boy, his face immediately fell. “What happened? You look awful.”

Shuichi scowled. Oh he looked awful did he! Okay, well he was perfectly aware that he looked awful. He had just rolled out of bed, still without sleep, and thrown on a pair of black cargo pants and a tight pink t-shirt. He hadn't even attempted to brush out his mess of a hair, thinking that just the act of willing himself to brush his teeth was good enough. He was stressed out, lovesick, and tired…but just because he looked like crap that didn't give anybody the right to tell him that!

“You jerk! I'm going to get molested by perverts because of you and all you have to tell me is that I look bad!?” Shuichi screamed, bristling like a cat as he practically hissed in the redhead's face. “I outta beat the shit out of you for making me meet that horrible horrible…sexily gorgeous…but still horrible guy in the park last night!”

Hiro patted the overactive 19 year old's head in the understanding way that he normally did when Shuichi when off on one of his irrational rants, but then something seemed to occur to him. “Wait…you met someone in the park?”

The pink haired actor broke out of his rant as well as he nodded towards his friend and went into the speech he hadn't been allowed to go into the night before. “Yeah! You should have seen him. I asked him to help me read lines, and he was a total jerk about it, but I read them to him anyways and sang a love song to him…and then he told me that I was a third rate actor and a crappy singer…and…and…” Shuichi once more began to sob as he latched onto his friend's waist. “Oh Hiro I think I'm in love!”

Picking him up by the back of his shirt as if he were picking a kitten up by his scruff, Hiro sat Shuichi back on the chair, shaking his head in exasperation. “What am I gonna do with you? I leave you alone for one night and you're already babbling about love.” Huffing, Hiro leaned against the wall by his friends with his arms crossed over his chest. “So who is this mystery guy?” He put a hand to his chin. “And since when are you into guys?”

Blushing, Shuichi ruffled his hair as he tried to avoid his friend's scrutinizing gaze. Even though he knew that Hiro would never judge him about anything he did, the thought still sent butterflies twirling around in his stomach. Honestly, he didn't think he was into guys, but this blond stranger, he couldn't help but want to be with him with ever fiber of his being and they had just met. He couldn't explain, it was like he felt some sort odd pull towards the man that couldn't be explained.

“Well yeh see Hiro…the thing about that is…well…” He couldn't bring himself to voice his thoughts, but thankfully Hiro bailed him out like he always did and didn't force him to.

Placing a hand on Shuichi's shoulder, Hiro calmed the raging storm inside the actor. “It's alright Shu…it doesn't matter who you love. All that matters is that it feels right to you.” Hiro's supportive smile, soon turned into a smirk. “So you've gotta tell me the name of the person who stole you from me.”

Of course this caused Shuichi to blush even more in embarrassment. “Yeah…that's the thing. You see I kinda have no idea who he is.” Hiro's jaw dropped to the floor as he practically fell over in shock.

“What!?” Shuichi whined as his he was shook like as his shoulders were grabbed and he was shook like a rag doll in his friend's shock. “How can you not know his name!?”

After his head had been seriously joggled, Shuichi managed to get a few words in. “It's not my fault! He was just being so mean…and it never came up.” He finished lamely, knowing that he had just given probably the worst excuse ever.

Slapping his forehead, Hiro released Shuichi's shoulders. “You know what the strange thing is…I'm not even surprised that this is how your relationship has started out. It's just like you to fall in love with a person you know absolutely nothing about.”

Giving a face splitting smile, Shuichi hastily nodded. “Yep!” He shrugged. “But what can you do?” More people started to filter into the room, reminding Shuichi of just what they were doing here, and suddenly he was right back to business.

“Hiro what part are you trying for?” Shuichi pulled out his script, once more look over Christian's lines in attempt to not suck as bad when he went in there.

The words flowed over him like poetry as he imagined himself in Christian's position while simultaneously listening to his friend, which considering how spazzed out his brain was at the time it was really quite an accomplishment. “Well I'm not really sure, my bro helped me practice last night, but I really didn't get that long to rehearse, so I'm only going to try for a minor role.” He ruffled pink hair. “I wouldn't want to compete with my best friend for the lead anyways.”

Shuichi smiled as he stuck out his tongue. “That's only cuz you know you'd never get it ahead of me.” Playing with his nose, the redhead leaned closer.

“Well I'm glad you got some of that confidence back. Remember that when you're up on stage today, alright?” Nodding profusely, Shuichi got some of that confidence that had been ripped away from him the night before, and now he was just ready and raring to go.

He would get this part, and he would show that jerk of a stranger that he wasn't the piece of shit actor he pegged him for! As a matter of fact he was so excited about showing up the blond that he prematurely ran towards the auditorium where they were setting up for try-outs.

Not thinking about the consequences Shuichi flung open the door and practically flew up to the stage. Holding his script up in the air, the pink haired bundle of energy stated with as much luster as he could muster. “Shuichi Shindou here, and I'm ready to kick some ass!” He laughing like such a maniac that he almost didn't notice all of the shocked faces that accompanied his introduction.

When the entire room seemed to turn silent, Shuichi took the opportunity to look around him, and gulped at what he saw. Sitting with a slack jaw was a man with light blond hair that Shuichi instantly recognized as the famous actor/director/owner of NG Productions. Tohma Seguchi…the very person Shuichi aspired to be was the one holding the auditions. Tohma Seguchi was the one who would be directing this musical. Shuichi practically passed out right then. It was like he had died and gone to heaven.

Smiling like a mad man, Shuichi bowed over and over. “Seguchi-sama it's such an honor to meet you!” He continued to bow even though he probably looked completely insane. “I'm like you're biggest fan…and I know that you probably get that all the time…the whole `biggest fan line' but I really am….I like worship you.” Why wasn't he shutting up? “I'm serious I like dream about you…you're like wet dream material.” He really wished he could stop crucifying himself, but he couldn't get his lips to stop moving. “Well you and Ryuichi Sakuma…man this one dream involved you both and you were…”

Thankfully Tohma chose that moment to put him out of his misery. “Thank you very much Mr. Shindou.” He said as curtly as possible and his words were laced with fake kindness. Shuichi was almost positive that he was about to get tossed out on his ass for being such an idiot. His shoulders slumped in defeat, and he already started to head off stage when the man's soothing voice once more stopped him. “Speaking of Mr. Sakuma, since you were so brash to rush in here before the formal auditions were being held, would you care to read your scene with him?”

Shuichi was pretty sure that his mouth had been hanging open for so long that a family of flies had taken up permanent residence. Forget what he thought earlier about heaven, this had to be hell! They were giving him these things, and it was just about to be ripped out of his grasps before he got a poker stabbed into him for a few decades. No one could actually be this lucky!

Violet eyes glanced to the side where a smiling bubbly Ryuichi Sakuma stood there waving with a pink rabbit placed on top of his head. God he was beautiful! How many times had he stared in front of his TV drooling over that face and body? Shuichi blushed to himself. How many times had he been lying in his bed and his thoughts had turned quite impure to the point where he had to alleviate his problem. His blush turned even darker when he realized he had just told Tohma Seguchi and Ryuichi Sakuma that he had had wet dreams about them., his life really did suck.

Then of course that was when he mentally bitch slapped himself. Like hell his life sucked! His life was the greatest thing in the world! He was going to get to do his audition with Ryuichi Sakuma…this was his dream!

Once more bowing, Shuichi was quick to agree to such an arrangement. “I would be honored.” Good…he finally said something that didn't sound completely lame. It didn't occur to him to be wondering why Ryuichi was there. The only thing that mattered right now was that this was really happening, and in his ridiculous happiness he let all other things slide.

“Yaye!” Shuichi's gaze once more traveled to Ryuichi, and he couldn't help but dumbly stare as he held out his rabbit in front of him. “Did you hear that Kuma-chan that funny looking kid with the stick in his hair is gonna sing with us!” Shuichi dumbly smiled as he reached up towards his hair, pulling out the twig that was still there from the night before. He had been wondering why it had been so uncomfortable when he laid down.

Of course after he had gotten over the initial ecstasy of the thought of doing this with his god…it occurred to him just what the brunette had said. “Singing?” It's not that he didn't want to sing, or that he didn't think he would have to sooner or later, but he always thought the acting portion was first, and then if you were good enough you tried out singing later.

Sadly, looking between Ryuichi's grinning face and Tohma's slight smile he realized that that wasn't the case. “Oh yes.” Tohma gave a thumbs up towards Ryuichi who had both of his thumbs stuck out in front of him while Kumagoro hung between his teeth , before turning back to him. “Ryuichi is very fond of singing. Which part were you thinking of trying out for if I may ask?”

Still shocked, Shuichi managed to mumble out. “Christian.” Though as soon as he did it seemed Ryuichi immediately started to bounce childishly around the stage with his Mr. Bear.

“Tohma that means we can do the elephant scene!” He excitedly cheered. Shuichi couldn't help the feeling of happiness that came over him at the man's antics. It really was hard to believe that the brunette was over 30…he didn't act a day over 10.

“Yes, alright Ryuichi.” The entirely too nice blond turned to him. “Are you prepared for that scene? I'm rather certain the one he likes is named Elephant Love Medley.”

Shuichi nodded, smile once more coming back to his face as his blood bubbled with excitement. Oh yes, he knew the scene. It was the one scene he had read over and over again. You could say it was his favorite.

Rushing over to him, Ryuichi sat Kumagoro onto the ground, and by the time Shuichi turned violet eyes towards him all of the man's childishness was gone and he looked completely professional. “Are you ready Shuichi?” Dumbly nodding, Shuichi continued to stare. Sensing his hesitation, Ryuichi gave him a quick pat on the shoulder. “If you're going to do the part of Christian you have to start…don't disappoint me now. I really like to get into character.”

He felt like all he could ever do was nod as he found his head going up and down again. Taking a deep breath, Shuichi got into stage mode and did what he did best…he acted.

“Yes...silly of me, to think that you could fall in love with someone like me...” And just like that he had turned into Christian as he was pleading to Satine on top of a giant elephant.

Adapting into the role of Satine, Ryuichi gave him a small smile before brushing him off. “Oh…I can't fall in love with anyone.”

Widening his eyes, Shuichi stepped in front of the brunette. “Can't fall in love? But a life without love! That's terrible.”

“No, being on the street, that's terrible.” Ryuichi countered, and Shuichi immediately shot back.

“No! Love is like oxygen…” He stepped closer to the brunette. “Love is a many splendored thing. Love lifts us up where we belong. All you need is love.”

Ryuichi shook his head in exasperation, and Shuichi's blood pumped at the high he got from it all. “Please, don't start that again.”

Swallowing, Shuichi tried to ready his vocal cords as he began to sing to his pretend love. “All you need is love!

“A girl had got to eat.” Smiling, Shuichi once more went at it.

All you need is love!

“She'll end up on the street!” Third times the charm

All you need is love…” Brushing past him, Ryuichi gave him a playful look over his shoulder.

“Love is just a game…” Now fully getting into it, Shuichi jumped in front of the brunette, gyrating his hips as he deepened his voice.

I was made for loving baby, you were made for loving me!” Walking once more past him, Ryuichi ghosted his fingers across his shoulder before gracing him with his angelic voice.

The only way you're loving me baby is to pay a lovely fee.

Just one night, just one night!” Ryuichi leaned in tauntingly, and Shuichi gasped at the feel of his breath on his lips.

There's no way `cause you can't pay.” Taking in a deep breath, Shuichi really did feel like Christian as he placed his hands on the sides of his courtesan's hips.

In the name of love, one night in the name of love.” He gave a goofy smirk, which Ryuichi just shook his head to.

“You crazy fool, I won't give into you.” Ryuichi turned to walk away, and Shuichi reached out desperately to stop him.

Don't…leave me this way. I can't survive without your sweet love. Oh baby…don't leave me this way.”

Ryuichi's face turned serious as he stared off into a distance. “You think that people have had enough of silly love songs.” He walked up beside the brunette, trying to coax him.

I look around me and I see it isn't so, oh no.” He gave him a timid smile.

Some people want to feel the world with silly love songs.” Shuichi tried again.

“Well what's wrong with that? I'd like to know, `cause here I go again!” Running to the very edge of the stage and spread his arms out like he was flying. He ignored Ryuichi's screams as he continued with his song. “Love lifts us up where we belong! Where eagles fly, on a mountain high!”

Grabbing his wrist Ryuichi grabbed him back from the edge of the stage. “Love makes us act like we are fools. Throw out lives away for one happy day.

Holding his arms once more out, Shuichi's smile only grew as he sung his proclamation. “We could be heroes! Just for one day…

Smiling, Ryuichi headed away from him, voice suddenly turning towards accusations. “You, you will be mean.”

Chuckling, Shuichi shook his head as he caught up with the brunette. “No I won't.” But Ryuichi had yet to give up.

“And I…I'll drink all the time.” Grabbing his hand, Shuichi stopped the brunette in his tracks, once more singing to his stage love.

We should be lovers!” Pulling his hand away, Ryuichi turned his face, only half serious.

“We can't do that.” Not giving up, Shuichi once more pulled Ryuichi to him.

We should be lovers! And that's a fact.” Turning towards him, Ryuichi's chestnut eyes met with his and the pink haired actor felt as if he couldn't breathe.

Though nothing would keep us together…” The brunette sang, and Shuichi finished for him.

We could steel time” Ryuichi cut in then, and there voices turned to complete harmony.

Just for one day. We can be heroes forever and ever. We can be heroes forever and ever. We can be heroes just because…

Shuichi cut in as the world seemed to contract around them leaving only the two with conjoined hands and staring into each other's eyes. “I…will always love you.

Ryuichi once more joined him in harmony. “I…can't help loving you.

How wonderful life is…” The brunette started to sing the very lyrics Shuichi had sang to Yuki, and the pink haired boy felt his heart constrict as he tried to keep up his part and join him in the end to finish their song.

Now you're in the world…” The both held their notes in perfect sync as Shuichi dipped his idol backwards and leaned in towards his face.

Smiling in that lovesick way, Ryuichi leaned his head forwards for the kiss. “You're going to be bad for business…I can tell.” This was the point in the script where they kissed, and honestly Shuichi was too into the scene to really be able to tell fact from fiction. He was Christian, and oh how he wanted to kiss Satine. He leaned in closer until their lips almost brushed, but then Ryuichi snapped him out of his trance.

Shuichi blinked as the brunette leaned up and pecked him on the nose. The spell between them was immediately broken, and he just ended up holding the now insanely smirking Ryuichi in his arms. He had to say, that he was completely baffled about what he was supposed to do now. He decided that it was probably just best to set his idol back on his feet and hope that he didn't press charges for trying to kiss him.

Though at seeing as how he grabbed Kumagoro and immediately turned back into that immature kid he had original seen, Shuichi seriously doubted the police would be getting involved. At the sound of clapping, violet eyes shot over to Tohma who actually seemed remarkably impressed.

“Bravo Mr. Shindou…and Ryuichi, as wonderful as always.” Out of the corner of his eye he saw how the brunette bowed and blew a kiss Tohma's way. As for Shuichi…all he could do was stutter.

“T-thank you sir. That means a lot.” Tohma nodded, before motioning towards the door to the lobby.

“You're very welcome, now please go wait out in the hall while we get ready for everybody else's auditions.” His eyes filled with tears of joy as with yet another nod he clambered down the stage and ran off to tell Hiro the new…he couldn't believe how good his luck was! Who would have thought that when he woke up this morning he would have ended up getting pecked on the nose by none other than Ryuichi Sakuma…who knew? All he did know was that Maiko was absolutely going to die when he told her!
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Shuichi sat in his chair, wearing the same goofy smile that had been glued to his face since he had left the stage. Hiroshi, and everyone else had gone through their auditions, and now they were just patiently waiting for the results. Tohma Seguchi had only came out from behind those illustrious doors once to announce that there was no need to go home, because the parts would be chosen that very day. So, like Shuichi, there were gobs of people packed into the waiting chairs. Some looked bored, some were praying, and some looked as freakishly nervous as he had earlier. He didn't though. He could feel in his heart that he had nailed the part. Because really after such an audition how could he not have?

It was like he had walked into a dream. Fate seemed to have finally shown upon him, changing him from the snot nosed punk of a kid, to a real actor. Being up on that stage with Ryuichi had been his idea of paradise, and he had never felt more at place anywhere in his life. This was what he was destined to do…he just knew it!

“Can you believe how many people tried out for this?” Shuichi's head snapped to the side as he saw that a raven-haired guy with reddish-brown eyes stared back at him. He looked to be a little older than himself, and although you could say he was fairly attractive, there was just something about the man that screamed `snake!' It didn't help the fact that he was dripping with exceeding arrogance as he stared down on everybody. Shuichi hated people like that. The kind of people who thought they were better than people they'd never even met.

As soon as he realized that the man was talking to him, he started and tried to reply in the friendliest voice possible. “Umm yeah…a lot of people want a part. The script is amazing!” He was now smiling again, but his smile soon began to fade at the hungry look the man seemed to give him as he towered over him.

“You think so, do you?” Shuichi felt like pulling his shirt down as burnt eyes looked him over, stopping on where his shirt had ridden up past his bellybutton before coming back up to his face…it made the pink haired actor feel cheap. “I guess it's alright…if Tohma Seguchi is involved it's guaranteed to hit big and make whoever's in it a star.”

Oh. So that's what this guy was about. His dislike for the man grew even more. Of course he had just wanted to get this gig to hit it big, but as soon as he had read the script he had fallen in love. He believed that to really be good and believable you had to actually feel for what you did…you couldn't just be in it for the fame.

He was brought out of his reprieve by a hand getting stuck in his face, and when he looked up the raven-haired dislikable stranger was smirking down at him. “I'm Taki by the way…Taki Aizawa.” Shuichi politely shook his hand, wanting to get away from his touch as soon as possible.

“Shuichi Shindou…nice to meet you.” He had never felt less nice about meeting anybody in his life. This guy just left a bad taste in his mouth.

“Shuichi, huh? Nice name…goes well with those pretty eyes of yours.” It took all that was in Shuichi not to puke. Nice name? Pretty eyes? Was this sleeseball hitting on him? Looking around frantically, Shuichi tried to catch sight of wherever Hiro had disappeared to. Where the hell was he! He needed to come back here and save him from this asshole.

Standing up, he ignored the way that Tabby, or Tacky, or whatever the hell the guy said his name was seemed to tower over him. “Thank you very much, but I have to go use the restroom.”

“Oh?” Shuichi hand reflexably rose to slap as that jerk's hand came to his cheek. “Would you like some company?” Ew! Ew! Ewwwwww!!!!!

This guy was unbearable! Slapping the hand away from his face, Shuichi glared at the man. “Listen asshole! I'm not just some sleazy hoebag…I'm not interested alright, so piss off!”

Okay, so it technically wasn't the subtlest approach, but he could really care less. That Tagi guy's eyes narrowed to slits as a snarl escaped his throat. “How dare you, you little prick! I can't believe that a no name extra would turn down the person who is going to be playing lead. You've made a big mistake. I'll make sure your life here is miserable if you end up getting a part!”

“Oh don't worry about making me miserable Kaki, your face already accomplishes that.” Shuichi smirked in smug satisfaction. “And who are you calling an extra…I'm the one that's going to be lead!”

Well that took that smug bastard down a step or two. His face was contorted in rage as he looked like he'd rather strangle Shuichi as soon as look at him. “What? You're trying out for the lead part?” He scoffed. “NG is really letting anybody in nowadays, aren't they?”

He knew he should be insulted by that, but he didn't bother. Instead he held the man's gaze. “Well I guess so…they let you in, didn't they?”

“Why you…” The man growled, before raising his hand. Shuichi closed his eyes at the thought of being hit, but he was thankfully saved from the impact.

Violet eyes peaked open to see that the hand that had been raised against him had been grabbed by his missing friend. Hiro's eyes were narrowed to dangerous lengths as his hand gripped Baki's wrist in what looked to be a very painful manner. With his considerable height advantage, Hiro stood a good head taller than the raven-haired man, and the redhead really looked quite scary while staring down at him.

“Excuse me, but I'm afraid I can't just let you hit my friend.” The man's eyes widened as he pulled his hand from Hiro's grasp.

Aizawa pointed angrily at both the actors. “Trash like the both of you will never get into this production. Only an idiot would let either of you on stage!” He growled.

“Well then I suppose I'm quite the idiot.” Shuichi couldn't help the smile from coming to his face as he caught sight of Tohma standing right behind the surly tempered man. If the director of the play wasn't standing right behind that man he would have laughed at the entire thing. Well laughed until what the blond had just said clicked in.

“Wait! Does that mean me and Hiro both got parts!” He had never smiled so hard in his life…it seriously hurt, but he didn't mind the pain. It was a good kind of pain that came with good news, or at least he hoped it was good news.

Giving him a small smile, Tohma gently nodded before handing him a script. “Yes, congratulations Mr. Shindou you will be playing one of the leads.” Stars filled Shuichi's vision, and he was sure now that this all must be a dream. He was going to be lead! He had gotten the part!

He only half listened as the blond handed a similar script to Hiro. “You Mr. Nakano will be playing the role of Toulouse-Lautrec Montfa.” He handed another to Aizawa. “And you Mr. Aizawa will be playing the role of The Duke.” Shuichi hid a smirk behind his hand. So Mr. high and mighty was going to get the lead, was he?...well that'll show him. Now he got stuck playing the icky creepy bad-natured Duke…you know when he thought of it that way it kinda fit him.

Tohma walked away to give out the rest of the roles, and after a deep hatred filled glare Aizawa stalked off as well. That just left Shuichi and Hiro to their moment of triumph, and Shuichi fully intended on celebrating.

Not even thinking of the consequences, Shuichi leaped forwards, landing in Hiro's arms as he screamed out in victory. “We did it! We did it!” He looked down into Hiro's kind eyes. “Oh god Hiro we finally did it!” Without thinking Shuichi leaned down and planting a huge sloppy wet kiss on his best friend's lips in celebration before pulling away and letting himself be swung around in circles.

When Hiro finally put him down Shuichi was laughing so hard that he couldn't even stand straight. Spreading his arms, he let himself fall backwards onto the floor without even thinking, letting his head slam against the floor without thought. They were going to be in the play! This was their dream!

Hiro plopped down onto the floor next to him, his face stretched into a grin as well. “Well Shuichi, I knew you could do it.” Leaning up on one elbow, Hiro turned around to look him in the face. “Well Shu, it looks like today was the day all your dreams came true.”

Shuichi's smile slightly faded at that. Was that really the case…had all of his dreams come true? It certainly seemed that way, and yet why this bad feeling in his gut? Why did it feel like after he had gotten everything he had ever wanted that there was some hole in his life? He brought a hand up to lay on his heart. He knew what that feeling of emptiness was…it was a hole only he could feel…the beautiful stranger who he knew absolutely nothing about…not even his name. Yet he knew he needed him…he needed him to fill the void.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Feeling a bit breathless, Shuichi walked down the streets of Tokyo, both bliss and terribly depressed at the same time. Why did everything good in his life have to be so bittersweet? Why did he have to throw a fit about everything? He should be ecstatic…he should be partying with Hiro over all of this…he shouldn't be moping over the best thing to ever happen to him in his life!

Gold eyes flashed through his mind, as he whined in longing. What the hell was wrong with him? Why was he acting so lovesick over someone he had just met? Getting the part in Moulin Rouge he thought would have been the best thing to ever happen to him, but as he remembered those gorgeous eyes he suddenly wasn't so sure.

He stared at his feet as he walked morosely back to his empty apartment, and to his empty life. Maybe it was just because he never had anything to compare it to, but had he always felt this lonely? He was stopped in his train of thoughts when in his absentmindedness he ran head first into somebody's back, falling straight on his ass.

Mumbling an apology, Shuichi got back to his feet as he noticed that there seemed to be a ridiculous long line heading towards what looked to be a book signing station. There were hordes of screaming girls, clutching books to their chests as they muttered about how in love they were with someone name Eiri Yuki. As a matter of fact the person he had bumped into was so busy drooling that she didn't even notice that Shuichi had ran into her in the first place.

Their chatter seemed to increase as a scream of disappointment could be heard from the front of the line. “What's going on?” He heard a taller girl with pigtails ask.

“I don't know. Oh darn…it looks like Mr. Yuki-sama decided to take a break.” Another whined.

“But I wanted to get my book signed! I've already been waiting 2 hours!” 2 hours?...god who had that kind of patience to wait to get a book signed? That was of course when Shuichi blushed a little when he thought about how he had dragged Hiro and Maiko along with him to wait out in the snow for 3 nights straight to get Ryuichi's autograph, and he figured he had no room to talk.

Shaking his head, Shuichi turned to walk away, but froze in his spot as he heard a very familiar voice coming from behind him. “Mizuki how many times do I have to tell you that I'm busy?”

Shuichi's eyes lit up as if Christmas had come early. That surly voice…it had to be him! Spinning on his heel the pink haired actor turned around to see the blond walking by accompanied by a woman with short black hair and glasses, forcing a schedule into his face. It was him! This really was the best day ever!

Throwing reason to the wind, Shuichi ran over to the man, throwing his arms around him without a thought in the world. “I've finally found you!” Shuichi snuggled his face into the blond's chest, not caring how he visibly stiffened under his touch. Gasps could be heard all around him as the women lined up to see that Yuki fellow turned towards them instead.

“What the hell!?” The blond started, but then glancing over to the woman he had called Mizuki his voice immediately softened. “You see, I told you I had plans.” When strong arms wrapped around his back, a warmth spread through Shuichi that he had never felt before.

“Are you trying to tell me that you have plans with this kid?” The blond pulled him in even closer.

“That's right. Me and pinky here made plans to do something tonight, so you can see why it would be quite impossible for me to attend that charity book reading.” He smirked. “And I was looking so forward to reading stories to annoying brats all night to.” He said sarcastically.

Shuichi was blushing like a mad man by this time, and his blush only grew when the blond pulled him away, and then quickly grabbed his hand. “Well then, say good-bye to my publicist because we should really be going Shuichi.”

It took Shuichi awhile to realize that his beautiful stranger was completely using him to get out of going to the charity thing, and instead focused much more on the fact that he had remembered his name. Nodding enthusiastically, he waved at the woman getting out a chipper, “Bye-bye!” before allowing himself to be pulled off into the other direction.

His moment of elation didn't last long, because as soon as they were around the corner and out of sight of both the fans and his publicist, the blond let go of his hand. Leaning against the wall, he pulled out a pack of cigarettes and lit one up.

“Didn't your parents ever tell you that you're not supposed to hug strangers?” Exhaling, he blew the smoke into Shuichi's face, making the small actor cough.

Even so, he wouldn't let such a thing ruin his good mood. “But we're not strangers!...We've met before!”

A scoff was all he got in reply, and although he couldn't be sure he thought he heard the blond mutter, “…Yeah once upon a dream.” under his breath. Gold eyes looked up towards his and they narrowed in suspicion. “Why the hell did you grab onto me? What, upset that you didn't get your book signed?”

Book signed? It took Shuichi a few moments to remember the long line of screaming girls clutching paperbacks to their chest before he got what the blond was saying. “No! I don't actually really even read that much…or at all…as a matter of fact I don't even know who that Yuki guy that everyone was screaming about is.”

He knew that he was definitely missing something very important at the odd look the blond was giving him. “You're very strange…I'd say you were lying about being so stupid, but I can see that you're actually telling the truth.” Puffing out a cloud a smoke once again, the man threw his cigarette to the ground, not bothering to stomp out the embers that had formed. “If you're not here bothering me for who I am, then what could you possibly want with me?”

Shuichi couldn't help it…he was really confused. He scratched his head in thought, and that was when the proverbial light bulb happened to click on in his head. Pointing dumbly ahead, the actor really hoped that he wasn't about to seem as dumb as he felt. “Are you trying to tell me that you're-“

“Yep, I'm the Eiri Yuki.” Yuki rolled his eyes in annoyance. “I really thought the whole fact that I had a publicist and the fact that I was going to a book signing would have given it away.” He shrugged. “There was also the fact that when you grabbed me there were about a million girls screaming at you to let their Eiri Yuki go or else.”

You know…now that he thought about it, he had heard a couple of girls screaming something along those lines. So his mysterious stranger was really a famous writer, huh? Who knew that the world could be so small? He knew now that it had to have been fate that led him to that book signing, and he wasn't about to let this opportunity slip through his fingers.

“Yuki I came here to tell you something!” Holding out the new script in front of him as if it were a shield, Shuichi did what he had wanted to do since he had found out he got the part…brag to the big mean jerk who told him he couldn't act! “I went to that audition that you wouldn't help me with, and I got the damn part…look!” Sticking the booklet further into the writer's face, Shuichi practically hit him with it until the reluctant blond took it.

Flipping open the cover, Eiri couldn't help but snort before tossing it back towards its owner. “Well congratulations brat, you're playing the part of a woman…it really does suit you.”

“Are you calling me a woman?” It was then that something really scary seemed to occur to the young actor. “Wait…WHAT!?” Tearing open the front page, Shuichi scanned the lists of parts. Ryuichi Sakuma was playing the part of Christian…and as for him…well. “I'M SATINE!” He screamed with fury. Fire felt like it was burning all around him as his happy little situation suddenly spiraled into hell. “How is this even possible!? That damn Seguchi told me I got the lead!”

“You did get the lead.” Eiri said calmly, not seeming all that fazed by Shuichi's outburst. “You got the girl lead…maybe Tohma couldn't tell the difference.”

God dammit! Wasn't it bad enough that he had been cast as girl? Why then did the writer have to mock him so god-awful bad? Turning blazing eyes towards the blond, Shuichi did something he probably would never had if he had been in his right mind. “Would you shut the hell up! That's the second time you said I looked like a girl, and I assure you I'm all man!” With that said he proceeded to grab Yuki's arm and place it on his crotch. “See…there's no denying it now.” He would have stopped, really he would have, but he was much too into the moment. Shuichi moaned as Yuki's hand slid up his pants, and ended up grasping his shoulder.

Pulling the actor towards him, Yuki crushed their mouths together in a completely unexpected kiss. Though just because it was unexpected, didn't mean that it was at all unwanted. Shuichi saw stars as pleasure coursed through his spine at the feel of those soft lips on his. Yuki acted so cold, but his mouth was so very very warm.

Sighing in pleasure, Shuichi opened up his mouth for the blond, giving him leeway to sneak his tongue in. The actor really thought that he had never felt anything so wonderful in his life then when Eiri's silky tongue slid against his own. The world contracted, and he really thought all that was left in the universe was him and Yuki, and the wonderful things the writer was doing with his mouth.

His lungs ached with lack of oxygen, and he was only allowed to replenish them when Yuki pulled away leaving him breathless. Shuichi was so out of it, that when Eiri and him separated he couldn't even support his own weight and he ended up sliding to his knees along the writer's body so that his head was resting against one of his thighs.

Shuichi's eyes rolled to the back of his head when a hand came out to lightly pet his hair as he buried his face further into the blond's leg. “Yeah brat…you're all man.” A smile came to his face at that, and he only clung harder. He had had three kisses today, a playful one from Ryuichi, a friendly one from Hiro, and from Yuki…well nothing could compare.
