Tohma’s POV:

I take a seat in my black leather chair. I look at the papers that were lying on my desk. I could not believe that I was talking to Mika about Mr. Shindou. She gave me the divorce papers last week. Of course, I gave her whatever she wanted. She did not take much. We still talk over the phone. I guess we do care for each other but only as friends. I sigh to myself as I see the pink bunny sitting on my desk. It does not surprise me anymore that Ryuichi can get in here without me noticing. I speak up, “Hello, Kuma.”

Ryuichi jumps up from behind the desk and with a serious look he asks, “How are you feeling, Tohma?”

I can see the concern in my best friend who was my lover at one time. I still cannot believe that neither of us got hurt by the end of our relationship. I sigh and say, “I do not know, Ryuichi.”

Ryuichi says as he sits in front of me in one of my chairs, “I heard Mr. Yuki disappeared again.”

I stare at him in confusion. Mika never said anything about that. I wonder if she knew about it. Would she have told me about it after I told her about Mr. Shindou? I say, “I did not hear anything about that.” I hear a soft knock on the door. I say to the person behind the door, “Come in.” I put on a fake smile. If it was true, then I am sure this is about Mr. Shindou. As I look at Mr. Sakano. I say, “I would guess Mr. Shindou has not showed up to work today.”

Mr. Sakano speaks up, “Uh... that is not why I am here, sir.”

I look at him confuse. I ask, “So, why are you here, Mr. Sakano?”

He looks at his feet as he says, “Well, sir, Shindou is here and he is working very hard, but something is wrong with him. He is not even speaking with Nakano.”

Now, I do find that strange. If anything happened, I was sure he would speak to Mr. Nakano.

Mr. Sakano speaks up, “He has bruises on his wrists, but when anyone brings it up he stops talking.”

I look at him concern now. I cannot believe Mr. Shindou would have bruises on his wrists. I say in a calm voice, “Please have Mr. Shindou come see me.” I watch Mr. Sakano bow and walk out the room. I look at Ryuichi. I can see a face that I have only seen once when someone hurt his lover. I ask, “Do you know about this?”

He answers me, “No. I asked him and he would not say anything about it. When I brought up Mr. Yuki’s name, he flinched.”

I stare at him and ask afraid of what I thought as well, “Do you think Eiri hurt him?” I watch Ryuichi nod to confirm my fears. What had made Eiri like that? I hear a soft knock as I say, “Please come in.” I watch the door open and see Mr. Shindou walk in. I look at Ryuichi who is standing up.

Ryuichi speaks to Shuichi, “If you need someone to talk to, then you know you have me.”

I watch Ryuichi grab his Kuma and run out of the room like a child. The serious Ryuichi left with that said to Shuichi. I speak up, “Shindou, please take a seat.” I watch him take a seat with sadness in his eyes.

Shuichi speaks up, “Mr. Seguchi, please. I swearIdidnotdoanything....”

I watch as tears roll down his face. I sigh as I say, “I just want to know what happened. Everyone is concerned.” I cannot help myself think he is cute like this. I listen to everything that has happened for the past two weeks. I cannot believe my ears of how Eiri has been.

Hiroshi’s POV:

I stare at my guitar while thinking to myself, “Something is seriously wrong with Shu, but why won’t he tell me.” I sigh to myself as I watch Ryuichi walk in.

Suguru asks, “Is everything all right, Mr. Sakuma?”

Ryuichi looks at Suguru as he says, “No.”

I speak up, “What is going on? Do you know, Sakuma?”

He answers me while sitting in a chair, “Yes. Eiri left Shuichi. I think he was abusing Shuichi.”

I stare at him. I cannot believe my ears. Shuichi has never told me. I know that I tell him all the time to dump that guy. I can get up right now and beat the shit out of Mr. Yuki. I look at Ryuichi to see the sadness in his eyes. I guess I was right that he has feelings for Shuichi.

Ryuichi speaks up while staring at the wall, “Shuichi is like a younger brother to me. I lost my brother in a car crash. I want to protect him, but Tohma is like that to Eiri. I really do not know what he is going to do.”

I hear the door open and I turn around to see Miss Mika standing there. I say, “Good afternoon.”

She looks at me and asks, “Where is Shindou?”

I shake my head and respond to her, “He went to see Mr. Seguchi.”

She smiles and sighs at the same time as she says, “Now, Tohma has a big problem.”

I watch her take a seat next to Ryuichi as I ask, “What do you mean by that?”

She answers me, “Eiri called me about ten minutes ago. He is in a mental ward as we speak. He has been drinking and he has been abusing Shuichi.” She sighs and trying to get herself calm before speaking again, “He told me to give Shindou a message. He wanted me to tell Shindou that he is sorry about everything.”

I look at her angrily and speak coldly, “He is a damn bastard!”

She looks at me and says in a calm voice, “Yeah, but not as bad has the one who made him that way.”

Ryuichi looks at her and says, “So, that is it.” He giggles a little as he says, “I know why Tohma would have a problem now.”

I watch him rolling on the floor laughing. I would be pissed if it was anyone than Ryuichi Sakuma doing this. His personalities are crazy. One moment he is an adult, the next he is acting like a kid. I sigh and say, “For Shu’s sake I will not say anything bad about Mr. Yuki.”

Shuichi’s POV:

I am waiting for Mr. Seguchi to yell at me, but he keeps staring at me with those eyes. I do not know what to do.

Mr. Seguchi speaks up, “Are you still in love with him, Shindou?”

I look at him confuse. What the hell? Why did he ask that question? Besides that is none of his business.

He says, “I need to know.”

I hear his office phone ring. I would guess it was Miss Mika calling him to tell him about Yuki. I look away without even answering his question. I watch from the corner of my eye to see him pick up the phone.

He answers the phone, “Hello, Seguchi speaking.” He pauses to listen to let the person speak. He says, “Eiri. Where are you?”

I look at him. I cannot believe it is Eiri. I look at Mr. Seguchi pleading to let me talk to him.

Mr. Seguchi says, “Hold on.”

I take the phone when he hands it to me. I speak into the phone and say, “Yuki.” I feel the tears roll down my face. I just need to know he is all right.

Eiri speaks slowly to me, “Shuichi, it is over. I cannot love you the way you deserve. I need you to move on. Can you do that at least for me?”

I fall silent for a moment and ask a question, “Did you ever love me or even at least cared for me?” I hear him breathing and I guess he is thinking of an answer. I say, “Just tell me the truth Eiri.”

He answers me, “I do care about you. I do love you, but as a good friend. The way you love Ryuichi Sakuma and that friend of yours, Hiro. I just called to tell Tohma to take care of you. Please let him do that. I wish you to be happy, but I cannot do that, Shuichi. You cannot bring me happiness either.” He sighs as he says, “I love one person and only one. That man has been dead a long time.”

I feel relieve for some reason as I speak, “Thank you for telling me the truth.” I take a deep breath as I say, “I had been trying to find a time to talk to you about this.” I take another breath and say, “I still love you, but the love I feel for you is just the same way as I feel for Hiro. Do you understand?”

He answers me, “Yes. I am glad. I am sorry for what I did to you. Seguchi knows what happened. Just listen to him. I know it is not an excuse for what I did, but I hope you understand. Well, I have to go, Shuichi. Take care of yourself.”

I answer him back, “Take care of yourself too.” I hand the phone back to Mr. Seguchi. He looks at me with concern in his eyes. It is now or never. I speak up quickly, “IloveyouTohma!”
