Lost but not Forgotten
Chapter Two

“This place is so cool!” a high-pitched voice squealed as he burst through the front door. Violet eyes glanced everywhere in a frenzy, taking in the huge mansion. He laughed as arms wrapped around his chest, the figure inspecting the new surroundings as well.

“Let's go explore, Shuichi!” the individual announced, the stuffed rabbit in his head nodded in agreement.

“Race you up the stairs,” the pink-haired singer exclaimed, before slipping out of Ryuichi's grasp. Both bolted up the old steps, laughing happily.

“Will someone please remind me why I'm with him,” the blonde haired writer said with a sigh. `Why did I agree to come again? That's right because the baka started crying when I said no.'

“Ryuichi, try not to break anything,” Tohma called out.

“Ok!” Was the muffled reply before a loud crash was heard, “Kumagoro did it!”

K laughed deeply before walking towards the stairs, “I'll go round the two up.”

“I wonder why the past residents gave the place up. It looks pretty well kept to me,” Hiro commented as he glanced around at the other rooms connected to the front hall.

“It's possible they just couldn't keep up with it. It is very lovely just from looking at the outside structure,” Tohma added, “What do you think Suguru?”

Hiro frowned when he noticed his youngest band member wasn't currently in the room, “He's not here. I wonder where he ran off to?”

“He probably just slipped away when we weren't paying attention. I suggest everyone grab their luggage and select a room to stay in. There will be plenty of time to explore afterwards,” the blonde president remarked.

The two individuals with him nodded in agreement, exiting the house to get their belongings. The minute the door shut the lights downstairs flickered. Furniture in every room began to shake faintly as a slender figure shimmered into existence. He gazed up the stairs, listening to the individuals who were talking. He frowned at the intruders, eyes dark with rage before vanishing as the door once again opened, all actions he had caused creasing.

The slender blue haired teen quietly entered the house, holding his one bag in his left hand. He glanced back at the others beside the two cars before his eyes landed on the stairs. He saw a blur of pink and green hair race in front of the stairway followed closely by K, who was trying with little success to calm them down.

`They didn't even know I was still outside,' the teen thought to himself, `Not that I really blame them. I know I'm different. I'm not loud, commanding, or overly smart. It's like I don't really belong here.'

Suguru sighed as he attempted to drive the negative thoughts from his mind. `I know I'm bright and talented. I just… I don't know. Shuichi is Hiro's best friend. Yuki is the singer's lover and good friends with Tohma. Ryuichi, K, and Tohma are together. I just don't feel like I fit in anywhere.'

“Suguru! You have got to come up here and look around! This place is so neat!” Shuichi hollered from upstairs.

The blue haired individual rolled his eyes before making his way up the stairs, pushing his dark feelings to the back of his mind.

The green haired singer hummed happily as he bounced into the bathroom. He gazed lovingly at the bunny in his hand before setting him on the counter beside a glass and several toothbrushes.

“Now Kumagoro you stay right there. Tohma told me to wash my hands,” the man ordered.

Ryuichi turned on the water, wetting his hands. He then lathered them up with soap before placing them back under the facet. “I like this place. Its lots of fun. We should stay for awhile.”

The singer gasped when the glass on the counter suddenly toppled, shattering as he hit the ground. “I didn't do it! Bad Kumagoro! That's not nice.”

Ryuichi attempted to clean it up, wincing when the glass dug into his fingers. He glanced up at the sharp knocks on the door.

“Ryuichi? Did you break something else?”

“It wasn't me. Kumagoro did it. My fingers hurt, Tohma,” the singer whined.

The blonde quickly entered, surveying the scene. His eyes hardened as he took in the glass on the floor but suddenly softened when he noticed the blood dripping from his lover's fingers.

“Tell me what happened.”

Ryuichi whimpered before answering, “I was washing my hands like you told me and Kumagoro was sitting on the counter. The glass fell and I tried to clean it up.”

Tohma ruffled the green hair affectionately. “Don't worry about it. I'll fix you up and have K clean the mess.”

The blonde lead Ryuichi out of the room, almost running into his other lover in the process.

“What happened?” he inquired.

“Kumagoro did it,” Ryuichi pouted.

“An accident. I need to bandage him up. Can you clean up the mess? I believe there is a broom in the bathroom closet,” Tohma asked.

“Sure thing. Want me to shoot that troublesome bunny too?” K said with a smirk.

“No! I'm sure he didn't mean to do it! Tohma, go save Kumagoro from meanie K!” Ryuichi exclaimed.

Both blonde's laughed as K gave the singer a soft kiss on the forehead.

“I'm just playing. I'm sure he didn't mean it. Maybe a time out though?”

“That sounds good. Not too long though cause then he'll get too lonely,” the green haired figure informed.

K smiled before nodding. He then walked past them, slipping into the bathroom. The blonde glanced at the mess before sighing. He opened the closet and began the task of cleaning up the glass. When K finished he glanced over at the stuffed animal, frowning at what he saw.

`I thought the rabbit had shifted and knocked the glass over. He's still sitting straight however. How did that glass fall?'

The blonde picked up Kumagoro, staring in confusion at the fake brown eyes. “Did Ryuichi say you did it so he didn't get in trouble?” K thought for a moment before laughing, “I can't believe I'm talking to a stuffed rabbit. I've been hanging around Ryuichi too long.”

The lights suddenly flickered for several moments before returning to normal.

“Something really strange is going on here. Although it might be the bulb is going dead,” the blonde suggested. K rubbed his temple, trying to figure out the changing light. `I'm sure it was nothing.'

“Is it all cleaned?” Tohma called out from the bedroom.

“Yes. Did the lights flicker out there by any chance?” K asked, his curiosity having gotten the better of him.

“No. Why do you ask?”

“It's nothing. I think the bulb must be going bad in here,” K said dismissingly. He slipped out of the small room, gazing down at his smaller lover. “Ryuichi all taken care of?”

Tohma nodded. “He ran off to find Shuichi.”

K shook his head at the statement, “Man has the energy of twenty, seven year olds. Sometimes makes me wonder why we let him join us.”

“You know we both care for him. Ryuichi needs us to keep the loneliness at bay,” Tohma murmured, past memories coming to the surface.

The slender blonde sighed as he tapped randomly on the ivory keys under his fingers. He refused to admit to himself that he actually missed his long haired lover. `He'll only be gone a few more days with Bad Luck. Why am I dwelling on this?'

Tohma frowned when he heard several raps on his front door. He gazed out the window at the wild storm that was raging outside. `Who would be crazy enough to be out in this?'

He slid off the piano bench, making his way quickly to the door. Tohma pulled it open, gasping faintly at the condition of the drenched individual.

“Ryuichi? What's wrong?” he asked, the worry in his voice evident.

The green haired figure said nothing as he slowly walked inside. Blue eyes looked almost dead as he made his way to the window, gaze locked on the storm.

“You're really scaring me. I need to get you out of those wet clothes,” Tohma stated, gently taking his friend's hand in his.

The blonde lead the silent singer upstairs, noting how he seemed to be moving on automatic. `It's like his mind isn't there.' When they reached his bedroom the blonde pushed Ryuichi into a sitting position on the bed. He pulled a pair of boxers and a white T-shirt out of his dresser.

“I know it's not modest but I have to get you out of those clothes,” Tohma murmured before stripping his friend of his soaked clothes and placing a clean pair on. He then pulled down the blanket, shifting the still silent singer until he could cover him.

“Have you ever felt lonely, Tohma?” the figure suddenly asked, finally breaking his silence.

“What?” the blonde remarked, surprised yet happy that his friend had snapped from whatever had quieted his voice.

“It's terrible. So many people surround you yet your heart aches. The darkness closes in, locking you in an endless spiral of loneliness. You cry alone in the dark, hoping that someone will take away the pain. No one knows though for the mask that you wear is so convincing. Happiness and Innocence blend to hide the bleeding inside.”

Tohma frowned as the worry increased. `I haven't seen him like this in years.' The small blonde slid into bed, wrapping his arms around the depressed singer.

“You're not alone. Noriko, K, and I are always here for you. We all love you.”

Ryuichi snuggled into the blonde's warmth. “It's not the same. I need to be loved. Please love me, Tohma,” the green haired figure breathed.

Tohma fought with himself internally before reaching a decision. `He needs me. K will understand.' He then smiled as he leaned down, kissing the lost singer.

“You're just lucky I forgave you,” K teased.

“Well I wasn't the only one who had slept with him,” Tohma pointed out.

“Not the same. I slept with him when we were overseas in America. I wasn't with you at the time,” the long haired blonde exclaimed.

“I know. Ryuichi just can't stand to be alone. He needs to feel loved or he becomes deeply depressed. At least now he doesn't have to worry about that,” Tohma stated.

“Definitely. We won't let him be by himself again. If I have to I'll hold a gun to someone's head to keep them with Ryuichi,” K snickered insanely.

Tohma rolled his eyes but chose to remain silent. `I'd rather not tempt him.'

To loud screams interrupted the two. The blonde's glanced quickly at each other, eyes wide.

“That was Shuichi and Ryuichi,” K remarked.

“We better go see what happened,” Tohma added as they bolted out the room.
