On with the story...
A lone figure sat in a darken room; the sounds of swift fingers typing away on a Z-Board (an advance type of keyboard) disturb the silence of the night. Stopping once and awhile then resume typing, the figure cursed at the screen. "Come on...Come on..." The figure licked their dry lips in nervousness.
Beep. Beep.
A large sign appeared on the screen "Download Completed"
"About time." The figure swiped the disk that popped out of a slot and ran towards an open window and jumped. Freefalling for about thirty seconds a small splash was made. Two minutes later the building exploded. And the figure riding away on a motorcycle uttered two words "Mission Completed."
*~*~*
Upon arriving at a large lavished house, the figure opened the door and stepped in. "About time you came home!" a woman's voice shouted.
"M-mom?" The figure asked. "What are you doing up?"
"Hotaru Hudson, you took so long just to get a copy of that file?!?!? Even your younger cousin could do that faster then you!" The woman fumed as she looked at the figure in the room. "GO TO YOUR ROOM!"
"B-But mom that was-"
"I don't want to hear your petty excuses. Get out of my site, you good for nothing..." The woman waved a hand at the figure now known as Hotaru.
"Yes mother…"
Hotaru entered her room she pulled off the headset and yanked out the mini explosives in her hair. Reaching down to her boots she removed the three guns, two daggers, and smoke bomb, then throwing her boots to a corner. Running a hand through her long midnight locks, she walked into her bathroom. Upon turning on the light she was greeted with the same comforting site. A very large porcelain white bathtub was placed in the middle of the room, white roses here and there, white marble floors, and the sliver framed windows lined with long purple and black scarves, a large mirror with towels already placed out for her. The sent of lavender and roses tickled her nose as she lean to turn on the water. She walked towards her mirror and sat down on the chair that was there. She removed the black gloves from her hands and took off the sleeping powered earrings. Sensing that the water has reached its limit in the tub she quickly shed herself of the sweaty clothing and stepped in the tub. Sighing as the warm water eased the tensed muscles, and the smell of lavender helps her become comfortable. Idly she looked at the petals floating around in the water…she closed her eyes and let out a sigh of content.
~*~ DREAM~*~
"Mommy!" A little girl with short dark hair shouted and ran up towards a woman. "Mommy! Mommy wait!!" Just as the little girl touched the woman's hand the woman let out a sound of disgust and jerked her hand away from the child.
"Get away from me!"
"But momm-" the little girl said with confusion in her amethyst orbs.
"I have no daughter! Now get away from me you little monster!" The woman shouted and walked away.
"No mommy!" the child hugged the woman and was shoved away,
"I said get away! MONSTER! I don't have a daughter! " The woman shoved the girl so hard that she fell. "Mommy, mommy please don't leave me!! Mommy don't leave!!! MOMMY!!!!!!!!!!" The little girl cried out as she watch her mother leave. "MOMMY!!! I'll be a good girl!!! Mommy…mommy don't leave me…"
All alone the little girl cried, she was alone and no one loved her. "MOMMY!!"
~*~~* end dream~*~
Dark amethyst eyes snapped open… "What the hell?" Hotaru sat up from her king size, four-poster bed. The cold dark room was only lighted by the moonlight that poured in from the outside. The long dark lavender scarves that hung from her window, softly whisked about as the wind disturbed them. She shivered as goose bumps appeared on her arms. What was that dream about?
Letting herself fall back to her bed she closed her eyes. All her life she has been an outsider. She never really felt what it was like to be truly loved…why do I feel so lost?
Soft chirping woke Hotaru the sunlight softly playing on her face. "Damn I overslept…" She said as she looked at the clock. "Better get up, Hotaru." She mumbled to herself.
Walking down the grand staircase she heard her mother talking to her father.
"She is such a lag! As a scion of the Hudson family I cannot hand down this mission to her. She'll wreck it! Unlike her cousin Gretchen…now that is a good heir to this family."
"She is your-your…daughter. You must leave this to her."
"That sordid girl? How could I? She could shame the whole family in thirty seconds!!!"
"Good morning mother, father." Hotaru said and entered the room; she sat all the way to the end of the long mahogany table.
"So you're finally up." Her mother said frostily. "To think you would have woken up earlier to prepare yourself when your cousins arrived."
"Yes mother I have prepared." Hotaru answered as a servant came out with a plate filled with bacon, bread and eggs.
"Good. You should be more like Gretchen, dear. Look at your hair always in that silly ponytail! And those clothes! Haven't you ever heard of dresses? Girls your ages wear dresses, dear, not pants!"
Of course the same old talk…she quickly finished her breakfast and stood up. "I would like to excused now."
"Go on. Get out of here." Her mother said.
~*~*~
She walked down the many halls of her mansion…the soft footsteps echoed around her. Today was the day that all the young adults will be tested for rank. As the next heir to the Hudson family, her mother is often brutal on how she acted. The first time the family saw her she was only seven…and the test was to shoot and arrow to the target. All her cousins have gotten close…but her arrow went stray and hit a flying bird…from then on her mother shun her. Never once has she remember her mother or father holding her…never once has she been told that she was loved…what is it like to be loved?
"Hotaru!!!!" Gretchen's obtrusive voice came to her. "Oh there you are dear…"
Gretchen the same age as herself, a girl roughly around 5'3 with green eyes and long auburn hair that shone like copper when in sunlight. She was slightly chubby with a childish look about her, also a bit tanned and had freckles sprinkled across the bridge of her nose. Gretchen was a younger cousin by blood… but she acts as though she was the superior…sometimes secretly Hotaru wanted to kill her…putting a false smile on, she replied, "Oh Gretchen! How good to see you!"
As usual Gretchen's clothing were much to reveling and much to flamboyant. "Oh dear…look at these spilt ends! My Hotaru you must get a new shampoo." she said looking very empathized.
"I look forward to fight against you my dear Hotaru…they say you have gotten stronger…but I will prove them all wrong." Gretchen said and laughed in a haunting matter. "No matter. I shall become the next heir…I truly hope that no adversity comes towards you Hotaru."
She gritted her teeth. "Of course not…I wish you luck as well." As Hotaru began to walk away Gretchen called out,
"And Hotaru…I know more about you then you know…your not who you think or pretend to be. Watch your back..." with that said she walked away
Something in Gretchen's cat-like green eyes told Hotaru that it was true…but what could it be? She is Hotaru Hudson...right?
