Gundam Wing Fan Fiction / Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ Moving On ❯ And so it Begins ( Prologue )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Author's Notes: This story was just an idea that came to me
when I could no longer find a good Gundam Wing / Sailor
Moon crossover that I hadn't read yet. It's one of my
favorite kinds of fics, and I've created a few of my own
little twists and turns, just to make things more complicated
than usual. For those unfamiliar with me and my work (which
would be most if not all of you) I think Mamoru is a whiny
little idiot who has never and will never deserve the love
Usagi bestows upon him, so I enjoy putting her with someone
else or improving him a great deal. He really needs to learn
not to take such a wonderful free spirit for granted, and I
strive to teach him that in every fanfic I write. Tamahome
(from FY) is great though, and if I'd finished watching the
series I'd probably cross him with Usagi, but I haven't so he
stays with either me or Miaka. Chibi-Usa is someone with the
potential to be either a real sweetheart or an extremely
obnoxious brat. I personally prefer the first option, and
usually portray her that way. This story is set after the
R story arc in Sailor Moon and at any point in time during
Gundam Wing, mainly since I'm not as familiar with it.
Forgive me if Gundam details are inaccurate. Chibi-Usa
did not go home though. She is still in 20th Century Tokyo.
Anyways, on with the story.
This story is brought to you without the permission of
Naoko Takeuchi or the person who created Gundam Wing
(whose name I don't know) but I don't really have much that
you'd want, so please don't sue. If you really really want
the thirty dollars I've scrimped and saved through baby-sitting
please act before December 16, 2000, or it will become
unavailable as it will have been spent.
No editing has been done on this story yet, but when it has
the revised edition will be posted. Until then, please be gentle
and handle with care. For those of you waiting for the next
chapter of my other work, please be patient. It will be posted
as soon as my dear editor Meara returns it to me. Thank you.
Moving On Prologue
By Eternal Rose
Usagi stared out of her bedroom window. The moon was waning
thin, and not without good reason. For the first time since the
night of her rebirth, there was to be a new moon on June 30th.
Now only a week away, the moon had shifted down to only one
fourth of its light being visible. It was to this fraction of
moonlight that Usagi prayed for guidance.
'Mother.' She thought. 'I know you and father can hear me, just
as I know that you are always with me. I need your guidance, and
so I seek your answer. I feel something big is about to occur, but
for some reason I do not feel as though I can share this with the
other senshi. Please, help me to decide what I must do.'
She kept her gaze on the light, never breaking the connection.
Usagi stretched as far as she could mentally, hoping for the
answer. Unfortunately, as so many times before, it did not come.
Often it seemed that whenever Usagi was not in mortal danger,
her mother would not tell her important information about
herself. Usa couldn't help but wonder why her past was being
kept hidden from her. She sighed and went back to bed,
carefully placing herself between Chibi-Usa and Luna.
'Tomorrow,' she thought as she fell asleep. 'tomorrow I'll find
out. Maybe I can make Luna tell me. If not her, then central or my
mother will. Someone is going to tell me the truth before not
knowing makes me go crazy.'
~* Usagi's Dream *~
The corridor was long and lacked any defining characteristics.
Everything seemed to be obscured by shadows, and nothing was
clear, except herself and her long white dress. She was the
princess of the long gone Moon Kingdom once again.
"Mother?" Serenity tentatively spoke aloud. "Are you here?
Where am I?"
The silence echoed momentarily, before an answer at last
returned to her.
"I am not your mother, or anyone else's for that matter.
Nonetheless, I am here with you now. Tell me who you are
or I will kill you." A shadow formed in front of her.
Although Serenity could not discern who the person was,
she felt it was someone she knew, or at least was connected
to. She was about to speak when a third presence joined
their gathering.
"Leave her alone. She has never been here before, and is
most likely unsure of what to do, or think, or say. You must
admit it confused both of us when we first arrived here."
This voice was gentle, calm, and friendly. It was the voice
of someone else who she knew and loved. She strove harder
to make them visible, but their images remained foggy. The
second voice spoke again. "Don't worry, I won't let him hurt
you. He's always been a little trigger happy."
"Thank you." She said softly. In the darkness, her voice
echoed with purity rarely heard, and seemed to create a
soft light, as the glow of a candle or the last embers of a
fire. It had a musical quality that twinkled in the dim hush.
She wished to speak more to these two who stood before her,
but before she could make another utterance, she was
pulled away from them.

Usagi woke with a start. She was quite surprised to discover
that she was now soaking wet. Water clung like dew to every
part of her face and upper body.
"Hey Usagi, will you get up now?" Chibi-Usa's voice teased
her. Usagi sat up quickly and grabbed the little spore in an
affectionate hug.
"So that's the way you wanna play, huh? Well then, I
guess we'll just have to all share in the wet love." Usagi
squeezed her close so that the wet fabric of her pajamas
merged with the dry cloth of Chibi-Usa's, effectively making
it sopping wet. She then set about tickling her future
daughter mercilessly until her mother called for them
to go down to breakfast.

Heero and Quatre both jerked into a sudden state of
awareness. The "perfect soldier" let his face show no
emotion, but Quatre allowed some of what he felt to
filter across his face. They turned to look at each other.
"Do you know who that was?" Heero asked in his usual
monotone.
"No, but there was something so familiar about her.
Something I just can't quite put my finger on." Quatre
looked puzzled for a few moments, and then settled back
to sleep. It seemed that he and Heero would no longer be
allowed to enjoy their all-night-in-spite-of-resting-
simultaneously planning sessions. Heero remained awake
for a few moments longer, allowing himself a short time
to think about the mysterious girl before returning to
his own night's rest.

I hope someone aside from myself actually likes this idea.
If not, I don't suppose I'll bother finishing it for posting
purposes, although I'll probably finish it for myself.
Anyway, I don't expect much for a random idea I just came
up with on my day off from school. Let me know, 'k??

PS - I'm quite proud of myself - I actually stuck a few SAT
words in here!!
