Chapter 3 by Blizzardangel
"MY LAPTOP!" Heero started fidgeting uncontrollably as Duo
deemed his laptop 'dead'. He scooted away from the brunette as Heero
continued to try to look longingly at his computer.
"Geeze. Don't you ever part with that thing? You didn't even
let it charge!"
"But I thought I did. I left it plugged in at our last safe
house. I had to put it in the bathroom wrapped in several towels so it
would not get wet because all the other outlets were being used by
everyone else and many outlets did not work..." Duo looked over to see
that Trowa had started the fire. The fire was blazing, suppling light
in the room for the other pilots to see.
"You had it plugged into the bathroom? But I was
dry...ing...my..hair..." Duo tensed as he realized that he had
unplugged Heero's laptop and never plugged it back in.
"Duuuuoooo!!!"
"Ah, heh, I, uh, I have to use the bathroom! Be right back!!!"
Duo jumped up and ran up the dark stairs with an infuriated Heero right
on his heels."
"I will kill you!!"
Quatre shook his head and immediately hurried over and put his
freezing hands over the fire, gathering in as much heat as he could.
"Oh, thank you Trowa. This feels wonderful." The green eyed
pilot said nothing as he shifted the wood and suddenly, the wood
started popping. Wufei dropped to the ground hearing the loud 'pop' and
whipped out his gun.
"Intruders!?"
"The wood is popping." Trowa replied.
"Wood is not suppose to 'pop'!" Wufei said as he stood from the
ground to put his gun away. Trowa looked away from him and back at the
fire.
"It's only the gases that are escaping the wood, nothing more."
The wood popped again but up flew some of the flame and landed on
Quatre. The blonde yelped from the burn and Trowa was immediately
holding the boy's hand, treating it with the first aid kit that
just...popped out of nowhere.
The blonde blushed as the Trowa was very close to him. Trowa
looked up to stare into baby blue when there was a shriek heard from
the top of the stairs...
