chapter 4: There was a shriek... by Megami Tsuki hi
" Duo!" Quater cried as the four men ran up the stairs.
" Wait here." Heero ordered as he cautiously approached the bathroom door,
gun raised.
" Duo, are you alright?"
" This seats friggen freezing!" Duo sobbed from inside the bathroom.
" Dammit Duo, you scared the shit out of me!"
" Sa-wee Hee-Chan." Duo replied, snickering can be heard from the stairs,
Heero turned and glared at the other three pilots, be for stomping past them
and down the stairs. A moment later Duo emerged shivering all over.
" Come down stairs Duo, and get warm." Quater chirped, Duo nodded and
allowed him self to be led back to the living room.
" there's no food in these packs."
Heero informed them as they gathered around the fire.
" I'm going to search the kitchen to see if there is anything edible."
he rose and grabbed one of the emergency candles he had lit when the
others were upstairs. Duo's stomach growled.
" I hope he finds some food i'm starv....."
( A loud slamming sound echoed through the house followed by a blast
of cold wet air from the kitchen and a terrified cry )
"HEERO!" they all yelled in unison, as they sprinted to the kitchen,
the back door was slamming back and forth blowing in the wind and
Heero was gone...
