Gundam Wing Fan Fiction ❯ A Strange Mission Indeed ❯ Assigned ( Chapter 1 )

Kay I just literally went to take a piss a couple of seconds ago and this idea just popped into my head, so here I am writing it. Hope you enjoy and pweez feed the ever hungry Shinigami with your lovely reviews whether they are telling me I suck, am a perv, or perhaps a compliment.

At first the mission seemed simple enough, although very strange. It seemed that OZ was using a convention as a front for something. They would have to enter it under cover and get the data that was being held there without causing suspicion. This would normally be a fairly simple mission to complete; however there was a twist, which Heero almost missed in his overview of the mission… It was a Yaoi convention!

 

“What? A yaoi convention? Hn…” must I even say who's speaking here?

 

“… Wow, I've always wanted to go to one of those.” said a currently grinning Deathscythe pilot which earned him a rare expression on Heero's face which seemed to say, `do-you-take-medication-and-if-you-do-have-you-taken-it-today?'

 

“What the hell is a Yaoi convention?” exclaimed Wufei

 

“… Hn…”

 

“Umm… how can I put this?... Hey Heero, it's your language, why don't you explain?”

 

“It's a… it means…” fumbled Heero

 

“Why can't someone just tell us?” asked Quatre who was now very curious as to the nature of this mission since it seemed to make Heero uncomfortable, which never happened.

 

“A male/male relationship, usually of a more explicit nature than shounen ai.” Heero finally defined

 

“… Huh, I'm sorry, what the hell's that supposed to mean, what's Shounen ai?” asked a now very frustrated Wufei.

 

“God dammit it's a gay relationship, happy now?!” Leave it to Duo to blurt it out.

 

Awkward silence enveloped the room. Quatre was blushing slightly and Wufei refused to look anyone in the eye.

 

“How are we supposed to infiltrate a Yaoi convention?” Oh my God Trowa's talking!

 

“Only girls go to yaoi conventions, the only guys that go are… WE CAN PULL IT OFF!”

 

“Duo, stop yelling!” Wufei responded, only adding to the noise.

 

Duo, ignoring Wufei, continued, “No, we can do it! I mean Quatre and Trowa already like each other so they can go together and then… wait there's five of us, who gets to be the loner? And how would they get in, oh I know, they could go as a gir…”

 

“Wait a minute Duo, how did you know?”

 

Duo paused, trying to figure out what Quatre was asking about, and failing, “Umm, what are you talking out Kat?” Duo blinked a few times in confusion.

 

Quatre blushed to the point of looking like an over ripe tomato, “… our relationship…”

 

“… oh that! Well it's not like you guys did anything to cover it up, I mean it's obvious just the way you guys look at each other, I mean everyone had to know, you knew right Wuffles?”

 

“My name is Wufei, Maxwell, and actually I have no idea what you guys are going on about it.”

 

Duo's jaw dropped, “No shit? Really? You knew right Heero?”

 

“… Hn…”

 

Now by this time Duo was very good at understanding “Hn” language so he easily interpreted that as, “No, I am confused as to the nature of this conversation.”

 

“Wow, I work with a very narrow sighted bunch it seems.”

 

“Can someone please explain whatever the hell we're talking about?” Wufei really didn't like not knowing what was going on, especially if it involved the mission he would be participating in.

 

“Umm… Tro and I…” Quatre attempted to explain but just ended up stuttering a bit.

 

Trowa really did not care what the other pilots thought of him but he did not like seeing his koi in such a difficult situation. “Quatre is my boyfriend.”

 

“… Oh, well um, that's nice, I guess…” fumbled Wufei looking for an appropriate response to this newly acquired information.

 

Duo, who was still excited, for once, about the mission, interrupted awkwardness, “Can we get back to the mission now? So Kat and Tro man will go together, and who would be the other couple? I think it should…”

 

“Under no circumstances will I go as a gay couple, especially with you Maxwell.” Interrupted Wufei, who wasn't homophobic but who had been raised in a society that seriously disapproved of gay relationships. I mean they married children off young as 13 sometimes. It was just the a given that you grew up, got married to someone of the opposite sex, worked for the well being of your society as a whole, had a kid or two, then raised them to meet society's standards. So you could see why Wufei would have objections as posing as something that he didn't even consider an option in life. There was also the fact that it would seriously offend Nataku, or maybe she would find it amusing who knows.

 

Duo grinned for reasons unbeknownst to the rest of the pilots, “Which is why I was about to suggest that Hee chan and I go as the other couple. What you think?”

 

“Hn…”

 

Quatre narrowed his eyes in thought at the two of them. “It could work, in its own warped sort of way.”

 

“I'm scared to ask this but then what am I going to do?”

 

Duo paused and then started cracking up.

 

“What in Nataku's name is wrong with you?”

 

“Oh god, haha, it's just, you'll just have to, hehe, have to go as a… girl… Fei chan”

 

“INJUSTICE!!”

Okay so I've actually never been to a Yaoi convention. I've been to anime conventions but they weren't yaoi, though I found an `I heart Yaoi' shirt there once. I'm going to try to just run with it and see what my mind brings up. If you have been to a Yaoi convention or have a good idea for what to do next PLEASE REVIEW AND TELL ME! It's also good motivation. I actually usually hate fics in which characters cross dress but for the sake of the plotline I had to do it and apparently a lot of people like it when characters do so, `two birds with one stone' I guess. By the way Heero doesn't even know he likes Duo yet, or hasn't admitted it to himself, but I have an evil plan for this fic which will cause all of that to change. PLEASE REVIEW!! YOU CAN EVEN TELL ME I SUCK AND SHOULD DIE AS LONG AS YOU TELL ME WHY!!
