Plushie warfare.... New brand of fun?
Wilderness Lodge
The house was quiet as the eight teens pulled up. The lights were still on telling them that Liz's dad hadn't left.
"He must be feeding Prince Jackson and Willy Brown." Lynn said as she got out of the van and helped Trowa untie the tree.
A small black, brown, and white fluff ball came up barking at the boys.
"Wolf! Down!" Liz batted her nose as she jumped up nearly scaring Quatre. "Bad girl, you know better."
"Oh she's cute." Quatre said once the shock wore off. He knelt patting her. She licked at his face. "Hey... Okay okay.." He said petting her.
"Seems like you just got another friend Quatre." Heero said looking at the small mutt. She yipped happily and danced around the blonde making everyone laugh.
"We weren't sure if you guys were the animal kind. Looks like Wolfie's not banished to the kennels then." Liz smiled.
"Good. You do nothing to keep my feet warm at night Lizzie dear." Lynn said with a purr making Liz redden.
"Keep that up and I'm boxing you up and stuffing you under the tree Lynn." She muttered low.
"You wouldn't be able to keep me there."
"God... They're worse than Duo and Heero." Wufei grumbled as he and Trowa brought the tree inside. Wolf followed after them carefully watching the two.
"Old lady.." Liz went to catch her before she got stepped on. Two black cats lifted their heads glaring at the group, angry that their slumber had been disturbed. They both bounded noisily down the hall back to their little room.
Wolf yelped as Liz scooped her up.
"Oh hush." Liz said carrying her to the garage where she put her down and went to get the decorations.
Outside Lynn helped unload the car, Jordan took Wufei and Trowa's packages inside.
"Hm... would one of you guys help please?" Liz's quiet voice came from the garage.
"Don't tell me she went in there alone..." Lynn said heading for the garage. Duo got there first, in time to catch Liz as she fell off the ladder with a box of lights. The two crashed to the floor landing on a pile of dog blankets.
Duo groaned trying to sit up. He looked down feeling a squirming mass pinning him. Liz was tangled up in the lights.
"Where'd my camera go?" Quatre laughed seeing the two looking at each other in shock.
"Lizzie!" Lynn went to help.
"I'm okay Lynn. Sorry about falling on you Mr. Maxwell." She muttered letting Lynn scoop her up and place her on her feet. Heero held out his hand to help his lover up.
"I could think of worse objects to fall into my lap." Duo said making her blush more.

The teens quickly finished decorating the tree. Liz disappeared once into the kitchen and returned with a tray of steaming cups.
Jordan moved out of the way so not to trip her friend. "I'll be back in a few." Jordan said picking up her duffle bag. The girls nodded knowing she was going to change.
Once she had gotten into Liz's room she closed her eyes and focused. A snowglobe appeared in her hand. She looked at it and nodded seeing that everyone inside had happy faces. At least I don't have to worry about Jack messing with them. Maybe he's actually deciding that I'm not worth it. She thought as she stripped out of her tunic and pulled on a light jacket over her tank top. She switched her leggings for short skirt tucking her clothes into her bag before she rejoined the group.
A large grey beast brushed up against her as she stepped out of the bedroom.
"Hey Sambo." She knelt petting the green eyed monster as it let out a purr.
"I thought that he'd be in the back with the others." Lynn said looking at the two as Jordan entered with the twenty pound feline draped over her shoulders, his eyes closed purring happily.
"I'm actually amazed this monster's still around. How old is he now Liz? Twenty?"
The tree looked as if it had been hit with a bomb full of tinsil, as she fully stepped into the room.
Heero, Lynn, and Trowa looked as if they had been hit by the same bomb and Wufei quickly ducked behind Jordan. "I swear Duo... You try to get any of that on me I'll kill you." He growled. Jordan stood perfectly still blinking in shock.
"Maybe I took the wrong moment to go change?" She asked seeing the trio.
"Fine, fine... You're no fair Wufie." Duo pouted. Wolf looked up from where she was gnawing on a soup bone with a questioning whimper.
"Not Wo'fie." Liz giggled seeing her dog's look. Duo tossed a candy cane at her and she yelped as it bounced off her. "Why you..." She threw a few of the small stuffed toys near her at him, and soon everyone was dragged into the makeshift war, Sambo skittered off to find a safe place to watch, pulling himself up onto the mantle that was already sporting seven brightly colored stockings, despite the fact most of the kids weren't Christian.
Jordan found herself giggling as she backed away from Trowa's light tosses. Wufei stood in order to protect her.
"Coward picking on the wounded..." Wufei started, only to get bopped with a stuffed bear from Jordan.
"Watch your back Mr. Chang." She giggled.
"Why you..." She squealed with laughter as he pinned her to the couch and tickled her.
"Hey... Let go... that's not fair... I'm wounded remember..." She tried to break free.
"Weak woman.." He said with a grin. She scowled.
"I'll show you weak." She shifted so that she was pinning him and planted a kiss on his lips shutting him up.
"There's a way to stop the rant." Duo laughed getting hit over the head by Heero with a snowman plushie. "Itai!" Duo cried out covering his head and pouting at the blue eyed pilot.
"Oh that couldn't have hurt that much Baka." Heero said sticking a candy cane in Duo's mouth. Holiday music started playing from the radio drawing their attention.
"Grandpa got run over by a raindeer!" Liz squealed happily running to turn it up, only to frown when she found out that it was just Rudolph the red-nosed raindeer instead. "Darn."
"And here I thought Dorothy was the only one who liked that song." Duo said sending a shiver down Quatre's spine.
"Please... Can we avoid mentioning her?" He asked.
"Liz, turn down the music." Lynn said tossing a little deer shaped plush at her lover. It bounced off her head as she turned causing everyone to laugh.
"You know if they weren't here you'd be in trouble already." Liz scowled changing the station to one that was playing 'White Christmas'.
"You and you're oldies." Lynn giggled as Liz started humming along. Lynn found three plushies bouncing off her, coming from Quatre, Trowa and Liz. "Okay, okay... I get it... White Christmas..." She started picking up the plushies and sticking them under the tree.
"Here's the Santa to the set." Heero tossed the red fluff at her. She caught it and stuck it near the snowman that Duo had thrown at her.
"You guys are loud enough to wake the dead." John said as he came into the cabin brushing snow off his hat. He saw the tree and the tinsel covered teens. "Do I really want to know?"
"It may be safer if you don't know Dad." Lynn laughed blowing the hair out of her eyes.
"Hi Uncle John." Jordan said waving from where she was still pinning Wufei.
"Jordan." He nodded to her and bit back a laugh at the angered and confused look on Wufei's face. "Seems you caught another one."
Jordan blushed.
"I take it we don't need anymore of my hot chocolate. I don't think the living room can handle another round of eight hyper teens." Lynn laughed as she picked up the empty cups. Quatre grabbed his protectively, knowing it was still half full.
"Quatre, you don't need anymore sugar."
"But it's Wa-arm!" He whined cutely causing Trowa to laugh.
"Fine... But if you're this hyper when we go to bed, you're sleeping on the floor."
"Meanie." He handed the cup to Lynn who tried to make her way out of the mess without dragging it around.
"I'll take them. Why don't you kids clean up your mess and get ready for dinner?" John said taking the tray from her. "Jordan, you're staying right?"
"Yes. Hope you don't mind, the girls promised to drop me off later."
"Why.. Oh right, How's Jack dealing with it?" He asked. She cringed chewing on her lower lip.
Wufei looked at her and saw the worry paint her face as she moved off his lap.
"I don't care... We split up." She said truthfully as she stood reaching for her crutches.
"Okay, sorry I brought it up." John said calmly. He smiled at her. "If it means anything, glad you did. He was always mean to all my girls." John said ruffling her hair.
"Thanks John." She smiled back at him.
