****Prologue****

Middie Une sighed as she finished reading another letter from her brother Lucas Une, the oldest of her three younger
brothers. Lucas was now 15 and an excellent private officer in the Preventers Headquarters stationed in Europe on earth. She
really loved her family and was proud that her brother Brandon who was now 14 and well on his way to become a highly
recommended private investigator. Her youngest brother, Cassius Une was the innocent one of them all and he was planning to
become a top military surgeion to help any Preventer who was injured in battle or on a mission, but she suspected that Cassius
who was 12 wanted to become a doctor to help his oldest brother Lucas in any event that his brother got seriously hurt.

She walked to her room and sat down on her bed, there was now only the four of them, their father died of
a heart attack just the year before when he was out working on a construction job. She had worked hard to keep her family
together after their mother died when they were young and she held them together at the event of their beloved father's death.
Her brothers were her life and she was proud that she had earned enough money to keep all of them alive back when they were
younger, now her brothers didn't depend on her that much accept when they needed "motherly" comfort when they had to much
stress in their lives. The only thing that she regretted was that she had betrayed someone that she had fallen in love with in order
to feed her family, that was something that she wasn't proud of.

Middie closed her eyes as not so very pleasant memories assailed her sub concious. She had started her career as
a spy when she was 10 years old. She had not chosen her career as a spy but rather IT had chosen her. Her first mission
involved her to meet a group of mercenaries in the forest and record their whereabouts to her "bosses". She had done so and in
the process, the whole group of mercenaries had been killed, except for one. The only survivor was a boy who was her own
age, he had called himself Nanashi. Middie had not counted on falling in love with him and her love for him had been the only
reason Nanashi had lived. Even 10 years later, Middie wondered why Nanashi had chosen to let her live, she knew almost by
instinct that Nanashi killed anyone who saw anything of importance that he was involved in. Nanashi had probably saved her
because as he said, "You have a home to go to."

Middie sighed and turned over on to her stomach, resting her chin on her hands. Now she was a well trained spy,
martial artist, and surprisingly a VERY good gymnast. She now only went on missions that earned her a high salary and with the
higher salary came the greater danger. She knew that her efficiency as a spy depended on keeping her identity a secret, she
didn't work for anyone in particular. She knew that it was probably safer that way, she didn't want any of her temporary
"employers" to know anything about her or her family because she knew very well that her enemies as well as her former bosses
could use them against her. Her family was the only reason she continued to be a spy, her high salary gave her the opportunity
to keep herself and her brothers who still lived with her out of poverty. To this day her brothers didn't know that she was a
spy, they only knew that she was capable of going off to unknown places at whatever time for who knows how long.
Her youngest brother Cassius probably had a suspicion of her true "job" and only asked her to be careful whenever he
sensed that she was leaving.

Middie got up and walked over to her desk and turned on her laptop. She had to check on her e-mail to see if
anyone "needed" to have a job done. She used an e-mail address that was nearly impossible to track or trace, which kept what
she was doing at that time private. Middie saw that she had a message waiting for her and with a grim, serious look on her face
clicked on the icon. It was a request for her to take on a mission and by the looks of it, it was sent by someone with high power
and a ambition to keep it that way.

As Middie Une continued to read, a certain instinct told her that this mission was going to be seriously deadly if she
wasn't careful. She knew her "job" was deadly and she wouldn't be able to get any help if she ever got in trouble with enemies,
in a sense she was on her own. It seemed that this mission was no different, but a nagging feeling of danger lingered in her mind
as she pondered whether she should take on the assingment.

The message asked her to meet the person second in command to whoever was about to hire her. She sighed, that
meant she only had at least two hours to get ready and meet the person at a local cafe in the nearby capital city. Middie quickly
logged off and ran to her closet, she picked out a white silk v-shaped tank top with beige silk pants. She knew now that her
employers tend to have their meetings in highly sophisticated cafes or restaurants and she knew that dressing the part was crucial
in every instant, showing her potential employers that she could blend in to every atmosphere.

The door to her room opened as Middie finished brushing her hair. She turned around and met her youngest
brother's searching gaze.

"Where are you going Middie?" asked Cassius.

"Somewhere."

"You're going off again to one of those business trips you are always taking. Aren't you?"

"Yes I am." answered Middie.

"You don't need to do that Middie, we are all financially better off now. Please don't go, I have a weird feeling
about this business trip you're going to. If it's even that."

"And what is that supposed to mean little brother?" asked Middie, narrowing her eyes at him.

"Come on Middie, I may be your youngest brother but I'm not stupid. Who are you working for? Are you even
working for a business? Or are you someone's mistress?"

"What kind of question is that! Of course I'm not someone's mistress! I haven't even had a man for Pete's sake,
Cassius!" exclaimed Middie.

Cassius sighed, "Alright, maybe that was uncalled for, but I'm really worried Middie. For once, please tell me what
you are up to. That way I or one of our brothers will be able to help you if you get in trouble."

Middie walked over to Cassius and gave him a tight affectionate hug. "Ever since I was ten I have been working as
a spy. I worked as a spy to help support you, your brothers, and dad. My work as a spy gave me good money and that's how
I was able to support us throughout the years."

Cassius couldn't believe what he was hearing, his beloved sister had been working as a spy all these years and he
was barely finding out about it. He hugged his sister tighter and looked at her straight in the eyes, "Middie, I'm sorry we caused
you all this trouble."

"I love you guys, you are my family. All I have in the world, I was glad to pay the price of carrying all this guilt and
lonelyness for you. I never want to hurt and leave you guys in poverty ever again." vowed Middie.

Cassius stared at his sister in wonder, "Won't we be in danger if your enemies ever found out about us?"

"Yes, that is why when you were all away at school, I installed a secret passage from the attic that connects to the
basement of the house. Once you reach the basement, you will find another door that will open to an underground tunnel that
leads to a heavily wooded area a mile away from the house. From there we or anyone that needs to escape can run and hide
through the woods without detection."

"You think of everything don't you sis."

"Hey, what happended to my innocent brother?" asked Middie teasingly.

"I may be innocent, but as I tell you, I'm not stupid." answered Cassius.

Middie sighed as she finally walked into the prestigious cafe, by the looks of the place, her new employer was either
very rich or very powerful. Someone waved to her and she walked right over to a tall, fierce looking official.

"I see you come professionally dressed." commented the tall official.

"I like to do my job right." replied Middie.

"I see. My boss has heard that you are a highly recommended spy. He wants to hire you for an extremely important
and dangerous job. Are you up to it?"

"I will do almost any job and of course that depends whether I am paid enough money to do the job."

"Don't worry, you will be paid a considerable amount of money for your trouble."

"How much money are we talking about?" asked Middie Une, interested.

"At least 6 Million dollars, you will be paid 1.5 million dollars right now if you accept the job."

"Hmmmmm. That is a very good salary, but what does the job require?"

"The job is simple actually, you have to photograph and steal some blue prints of a hydrogen bomb that is secretly
being built by Germany's government."

"I thought that all serious and nuclear weapons were banned by the vice foreign minister Relena Dorlian. She is not
aware of this weapon?"

"As far as we know, no. Not even the Preventers know about the hydrogen bomb." answered the official.

"I guess that is important.to know. But I sense that you are not telling me everything, who is this person that wants
to hire me?" asked Middie Une.

"I am not at liberty to tell you that."

"Judging by your answer, I see that your boss might be a very powerful man. Could he be that he is a dictator or a
president of a country hungry for power?"

"Hmph. You are smart for your own good."

"I guess I am right. Will I ever meet my employer?"

"Will you accept the job?"

"That depends whether I meet my mysterious employer."

"You will meet him, but not know. Right now it is inconvenient."

"I will accept that answer for now. To answer your question about whether I will accept the job or not, Yes. I will
accept the assignment. On one condition, I must meet your boss."

"I will try to arrange something, I guarantee you nothing."

Middie nodded and got up from her chair and looked down at the tall official. She couldn't shake off the feeling that
something serious was going to happen if she did take the job, but she needed the money to help pay for Cassuis's medical
schooling. Also, she wanted to go back to school to earn a degree in criminology and become a highly respected private
investigator like her brother Brandon. She wanted to do something honest for a change. Before she left, the official got up from
his own chair and handed her a manilla folder.

"This folder contains instructions for our next meeting next week. I want you to be well prepared. I will contact you
by e-mail on where we would meet and if it is possible, the boss will be there too."

"She wants to meet me?" asked the president of Rosenburg.

"Yes, sir. In fact, she insists upon it."

"Then I guess I will meet her. I must have those blueprints! I have to have more power!" retorted the president.

"Sir, but if she know who you are, won't that cause you any problems?"

"I will have to think of something. I'm sure she will know the truth once she sees who I am."

"Of course sir, you are the very powerful president of Rosenburg." said the official.

"Make the arrangements for my meeting with this spy. Did she give you a name?"

"No sir. She said to only call her agent 101."

"I want you to find out much about her as possible." instructed the president.

"Yes sir."
