[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]

Legends are sometimes stories of the past retold and changed over time, sometimes the changes are so parents can tell them to their children before bedtime, sometimes its to make them more dramatic and sometimes their changed so they can be told.

But most times legends fade away till they are mere stories, then myths until, eventually, only the old know them and speak of them. But, as time still goes on, even they will forget until you can only here whispered parts on the wind as it rushes through the trees.

In truth, some of these legends were never legends to begin with, not stories retold and past down, but something with much, much more power. Something that the wind doesn't speak of, it warns of. Something that should be remembered but isn't…

A prophecy…

The wind danced lightly through the trees, causing a soft rustling of leaves. The suns rays shone gently from the sky, warming all beneath it and the moons could all be seen (normally, when they were all visible, it was night). Many people were out in the fields, enjoying the sun and the flowers of summer. Children were laughing and playing among the tall grass and through the trees. They giggled when the fell and chased each other around and through the fields.

Through all of this, they didn't seem to know that the moons drew closer and closer to the sun as each moment passed. An eclipse was to come but this, this… this was something strange, different… feared.

Soon the first moon aligned with the second, looking like there was only ever one, the village's people started to call out in amazement when the two moons touched the third and final moon… for that had never happened before, at least, not that any one remembers or rather wants to remember.

Near by, at this very moment, a lovely young woman went into labor with her husband at her side. The child was born when the three moons eclipsed the sun, under the stars at noon.

Somewhere surrounding the village, on the edge of a cliff, stood a lone figure. Even in the darkness of the eclipse, he stood in the shadows, not wanting to be seen. He looked young, with a lean muscle and piercing eyes, he seemed to be around 17. He had a dark smirk on his face as he observed the events going on in the village and sky.

//Soon// he thought //soon…//

~16 years later

A boy lay on the cool, deep green grass with his face to the heavens. He just stared at the sky, the moons and stars. The way they would sparkle and shine against the velvet sky. He always loved the night sky. He enjoyed sunrises and sunsets but they couldn't even compare the moons against a backdrop of stars and the eternal blackness of space. It was just so beautiful, enchanting… mysterious. The largest moon was half way above the horizon and the smaller two were just touching at their zeniths.

~Run~ A very quiet whisper

He sat up quickly and looked around him. No one was around. He must have imagined it. He lay back down and closed his eyes, thinking of the celebration a week away, his birthday celebration. He smiled; he was so excited and could hardly wait.

~Run away~ another whisper, more urgent.

This time, he knew he wasn't hearing things. He stood up and strained his eyes and ears for a sign that anyone was around. He failed.

~Run away…run far~

The voice was on the wind. But he wasn't sure if it was the voice of the wind or the voice of a person.

"Who are you?" He demanded, spinning around. There was no answer. He shook his head before looking up at the sky once, noticing that two of the moons were as one, before turning back to his village. As he walked, a long rope of chestnut hair swung behind him.

In the trees, there stood a dark figure, the same one that stood on the cliff 16 years ago. Strangely, the figure didn't seem to have aged a year. The wind wisped around him and he was gone.
