Gundam Zero

Part one: The Alliance

Episode one: Enemy or Ally! The Ones Who Target Shooting Stars.

A blonde hair blue-eyed 14-

The girl known as Hikaru, walked to cockpit and looked over one of the officer's shoulder. She scowled at what she saw, "What is that?"

"We're not exactly sure. According to the alliance reports, it's only a piece of space trash, but I highly doubt that. Look at the path they're all following, is it coincidence that they happen to be following normal ship orbit routes?"

"I don't believe so."

"Then should we pursue them?"

"Yes," to the officer she said, "Which ones can we catch up with?"

"Only one, its current entry course suggests that it will land in the south JAP area."

"Then pursue it." Hikaru said, walking back to her place besides the Commander's chair.

"Sir?" the officer queried.

Zechs shook his head, "Do as she says, officer."

"Yes Sir!"

Ririna Dorlin leaned back in her seat of her father's private shuttle. Sitting next to her in her father's place, was a fifteen-year-old Oz Lt. Colonel Saria Barton. Ririna sighed, try as she might she could not come to the like the girl. Something in her eyes always promised something cruel, those eyes frightened Ririna. Currently the girl in question had a large encyclopedia type book, perched on her lap, and by the way she looked at it, she was very absorbed in what she was reading. "Miss. Barton, what are you reading?"

Saria looked up at Ririna, her eyes once again held that cruel promise. She flipped the book shut revealing the cover, the book's title was emblazoned gold and read, The Collected Works of Jane Austen. "That's what I'm reading Miss Dorlin."

"Which one?"

"Pride and Prejudice"

"Oh that's a lovely book."

"Yes it is." Saria went back to reading and blocking Ririna out. Ririna sighed and went back to looking out her window.

Leaning forward, Ririna spotted something along earth's horizon. "What is that?"

Saria looked up from her book, exasperated, "What is what?

Ririna pointed to the small object, "That! What is it?"

"It's just a ship Miss Dorlin calm down."

"Please check it."

Sighing, Saria took out a pair of pocket binoculars from her belt. She looked through them. "What the hell is that?" she said, finding what Ririna was talking about.

"See I told you to check it!"

"Calm down Miss Dorlin, I'll go to the cockpit and find out what's going on alright?"

Shaking slightly Ririna nodded, and Saria using the weightlessness of space flew to the cockpit of the shuttle.

A sixteen-year-old red-haired girl sat in the cockpit of her Gundam Oasis, waiting for her assigned target to show itself. Having spoken with Saria and Hikaru, she knew exactly where the third pod was going crash land. A small alarm caused Kirabi to glance up to where a small glimmer of light was falling towards the Earth. "There he is," she muttered, powering up Oasis and making it walk towards the fallen capsule.

Brown hair with bleached bangs, Resistance Unit 06 leader Sakura Maxwell sat in the highest part 50ft tree with a pair of binoculars. She watched interested, as some unknown force decimated the nearby Oz base. Although she was slightly jealous, she was over-joyed that the base was destroyed. She was curious however as to how the base was being put to ruins, so she climbed down from the tree and swung herself into her jeep. She turned on her jeep and sped down to the base. What she saw there her mouth open in shock. "A Gundam," she said hopping out of her jeep. She was about to get out of sight when the Gundam turned spotting her. She watched as the Gundam's thermal weapon came speeding towards her.

A girl with black hair and eyes purchased a cup of coffee from a street vendor and continued walking through a desert Oasis made into a Metropolis. Taking a sip of her coffee Tien-Lei grimaced at its taste but kept drinking it anyway. She was here on a spy mission after all no point in being picky and drawing attention to herself. Two Alliance soldiers ran down the street and knocked straight into her and sending her sprawling to the ground and her coffee spilling over the two soldiers. They turned to Tien-Lei glaring, "You've ruined my best uniform Bitch!"

"Yah why don't you watch where you're going!"

Tien-Lei thought very hard about her options. She could one, beat the crap out of these goons and scare all the people around her, two, she could pull rank on them and blow her cover or three, she could take what they were dishing out towards her without complaint. Fortunately none of these options was necessary as a voice rang out among the crowd, "Is there a problem here?"

Tien-Lei looked up at the voice. It was a young man around her age with rather pale blond hair and very beautiful green eyes. The officers looked at him sourly, "No Mr. Winner there isn't."

"Then shouldn't you be on your way?"

Grumbling the soldiers stormed away, and the boy kneeled before her holding out his hand, "Are you alright?" he queried.

Tien-Lei blushed, "Yes I'm fine thank you," She stood up, not taking his hand, and brushed herself off.

The boy also stood up and smiled at her disarming her senses, "Well since you lost your coffee on such a waste maybe you'd like to join me for breakfast?"

Tien-Lei found herself smiling back at him, "I'd love to."

Zechs Marquise turned as a communication siren went off to his left. "Who's trying to speak with us now?"

"It a appears to be Lt. Colonel Saria Barton Sir," one of the officers responded, "Shall I answer her?"

"Put her on the back screen." Zechs said standing up and walking to the screen towards the aft of the bridge. He turned on the screen and faced the young girl his eyes levelly returning her gaze, "What can I do for you Lt.?"

"You can tell me what's going on."

Zechs blinked in surprise beneath his mask. "What do you mean Lt.?"

"I mean this." The scene changed from Saria's face to a picture of a small shuttle flying straight towards them. The scene changed back to Saria, "Well?"

Zechs sighed. "It looks to be the re-entry phantom we've been chasing."

"May I speak to Hikaru?"

"Alright, yes of course." He summoned Hikaru to the back and let her stand in front of the screen. Stepping back a few paces, he watched the two girls converse changing languages every few phrases. The screen turned off and Hikaru walked towards him.

"We both believe this is Operation M and she is asking permission to be come aboard."

"Granted we'll get into range of the shuttle immediately."

"Yes Sir!" Hikaru then turned towards the two officers giving them their new orders.

"Entering Earth's Exosphere," droned an emotionless voice belonging to the pilot of Wing Gundam. He carefully shifted his shuttle to fly into the earth's atmosphere without burning him to bits. He looked towards his and watched as the civilian shuttle he had been tailing and a military ship ran up alongside each other. A small figure in an Oz space suit flew from the civilian shuttle to the military craft. The craft swallowed up the small person then came towards him. He began to speed up trying to get to earth faster when he saw a small communicae on the screen in front him. Reading it he grinned maliciously. " So that shuttle is carrying three Mobile suits? Roger that…" He turned the shuttle about, "Mission Accepted."

"The craft turned around!" An officer exclaimed as Saria removed her helmet.

"What do you mean turned around!" Hikaru snapped maliciously.

"I mean it's coming straight towards us!"

Saria walked forward and leaned over the young man's shoulder. "Damn, he's right."

Zech's stood up, "Leave this to me," he said then turned to the two officers, "Ready My Leo for action."

"A Leo Sir? Wouldn't the newer Aires model be better?"

Hikaru snorted, "That bulky thing?! It's more useless than a machine gun. However let's try shooting it down with the shuttle first ok Zechs?"

Zechs sighed. "You know as well as I do that won't work."

"I know but at least we'll be able to crack through its shell and make it show its true colors."

Zech's sighed, "Alright then, officers do as she says."

The officers turned around in their seats and looked at Zechs a moment before sighing .

Wufei Chang moved his Gundam around as an intruder alarm went off in the cockpit. He scowled as he saw a person standing there next to a running jeep. Without even bothering to see whom it was he sent his thermal trident <PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IT REALLY IS! > towards the person. About a second before it sliced him/her in half however, a long thermal scythe knocked his weapon upwards and away from his victim. "Now why don't you leave the pretty lady alone," Came a teasing voice over his intercom. Wufei looked around a saw a similar Gundam to his own.

He cursed colorfully in Chinese, "She was watching me and whoever sees me needs to die!"

"Normally I'd agree with you but check out her insignias idiot!"

Wufei magnified the image of the girl and looked into her frightened brown eyes, `Like a Little lamb,' he thought before turning his gaze to the decorations littering her shirt. The decorations clearly stated that she was a member of the local resistance and, a high-ranking member to boot. "And I almost killed someone who could help me…"

"No Shit Sherlock, but anyway don't you think you should apologize, just maybe Dumb head!"

"Shut up already!" Wufei dimly noticed the girl had gotten to a higher vantage point in the ruins of the base and began waving her arms wildly shouting something at the other Gundam.

"Duo! Duo is that you?!"

Duo turned his attention away from "Mr. Dumb head", to the girl and took a long good look at her. "Sarah? Sarah!"

The girl crinkled her nose in mild disgust, "Come on Duo! You know how much I hate that name!"

In an eye blink Duo had left his Gundam and was fiercely hugging her, "Sarah! By Shinigami I can't believe it's you!"

"I told you I hate being called Sarah! Call me Sakura!" she said in mock anger.

Duo flashed his winning smile, "Whatever you say Cousin!"

Someone cleared their throat behind him and he turned about startled. A Young Chinese man was standing before them his expression moody and unclear with his black hair tied back in a painful looking horsetail. "Can I help you?"

"I would like to apologize to the lady and ask to be taken to her unit leader to ask for refuge." Came his haughty reply.

"I'm not sure if I should offer you shelter Sir but your apology is accepted."

"I only asked for you to take me to your leader I couldn't give a damn whether you allow me refuge or not!"

"Oh but you should, because I am the Unit Leader!"

Trowa used the last of his Gundam's ammunition against his enemy noting with slight satisfaction that they had lost one of their sickle scythe type weapons and was fairing about as well as he. He took out his Gundam's small knife and thrashed it in an upward arc catching their Gundam's head and sending it sprawling across the desert. He pointed the knife at the cockpit of the Gundam and opened an audio intercom, "Surrender and I might let you live."

"Like Hell I will!" Came a female voice through the intercom.

"A girl? I was fighting a girl the whole time?!"

"No, you were fighting a cross dresser. Yes, you were fighting a girl!"

Trowa sighed and took his Gundam's blade away from the cockpit, "You get off easy this time girl but next time you won't be so lucky." Trowa controlled his Gundam walk away only just hearing the girl's cursings.

Quatre settled himself in the chair across from his guest. He watched his guest delicately pick at her food her eyes never leaving him. He swallowed nervous, then ventured a question, "May I ask you name?"

"Yes, my name is Tien-Lei. What's yours?"

"Quatre."

"It's nice to meet you Quatre," Tien-Lei said in a wispy voice drawing out a pistol.
