Chapter Ten

In Heero and Duo's room Heero tucked his now sleeping mate in bed. Recently Heero and Duo's bed was joined. Heero came up with the idea every since he realized Duo didn't like sleeping alone and he loves to cuddle. Turning his attention back to his clan, Heero looked over the detailed info after Trowa had filled him in.

"And where is Luke?" he asked.

Wufei sighed. "He just left after you disappeared." The Chinese vampire soon frowned. "What is up with that Heero? Since when can you do that?"

Heero leaned against the wall with his arms crossed over his muscular chest and his eyes closed. "I've been able to do it for a while ever since I claimed Duo." He paused looking over at his sleeping mate. Turning his attention back to his group he continued, "It's a very rare trait and it's not something I would really talk about."

Quatre and Sally looked at each other then at their leader. "Why?" They both asked.

The brown messy haired teen sighed. "Well it's a very special…gift I guess you can call it? It's something that has many advantages."

"And how can Nana do it?" asked a groggy voice.

Everyone turned to the chestnut haired teen on the bed with the blankets wrapped around him. "Happy you decided to join us Maxwell." Wufei smiled in a mock manner.

Duo rolled his eyes. Heero got up and walked over to their closet. "Because I gave it to her."

Everyone laughed as Duo sneezed and fell back into the bed, which is except Heero and Quatre. "Duo are you sick?"

The man in question poked his head out from under the covers as he sat up with the rest of the covers covered his body. He rubbed his red nose and sighed. "What do you think Quat?" he asked in a stuff voice.

Quatre approached Duo slowly. "I didn't know vampires could get sick?" He handed Duo a tissue. "Or warlocks for that matter."

Duo blew his noise so hard his braid stuck up like it does in those cartoons he watches when the mouse pulls the cat's tail. He threw the tissue away and rubbed his eyes falling back in the covers. "Quat it seems you watch too much TV."

Sally laughed as Wufei just smirked. "Hey that's not funny!" barked Quatre.

Suddenly the door opened. "Heero where are you going?" asked Trowa as he hugged his blonde lover in reassurance.

Heero pulled on his black water proof jacket. "I still sense something's wrong." He turned to the others. "Now if Luke can't take care of my daughter then I will."

With that he slammed the door as softly as he could. (Aka not very soft) Duo would have run after him if he wasn't snoring like crazy to tired from his cold. Quatre looked at Trowa but said nothing.

-Nana-

Nana gulped as the two men moved closer to her. `I'm tired of this. I'm just too tired of this I can't stand being chased any more!!` She thought. Self-consciously she closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around her for security.

One of the men looked to the smaller man. "Eh Ned quess she's easier then Matt had said. "

The man called Ned looked slyly up and down Nana. "I get first dibs." He stepped forward and grabbed Nana's arm. Nana looked up and screamed.

-Luke-

Luke ran faster and faster into the woods. For some reason his tracking on Nana wasn't working. He looked everywhere but couldn't find her. He felt her of course and the teenage girl was frightened and scared.

`Oh don't let me be late! `

-Nana-

`I'm tired!! I'm just tired!! I'm not taking this any more, I'm going to prove myself to you father!!` With that thought Nana searched for the power she knew she held deep down inside. Ned smirked as he felt her tenseness in her arm. What he didn't know was that she was gathering all her strength.

Ned looked over to the other man named, Kyle. "Kyle…Kyle?"

Kyle was frozen not literally but in shock. His vision kept on the girl they tried to claim. Confused Ned looked over to Nana. Gasping he dropped her arm. Looking back at him was black eyes, black hair and Nana's outfit changed from `clam pretty nice girl' to `watch out `cause this bitch is not happy' outfit. She wore a black and red colored jumpsuit and red colored nails, but from their size more like claws.

Her bitch black eyes were deep pools that didn't show any white around her eyes. She looked like she could beat the shit out of these guys. "What the fuck I didn't…how is she…" Kyle stuttered in fear.

Nana just smirked. That smirk was not a small smile her father Heero would let pass more like…the grin Shinigami gave you before he sent your evil ass to hell. Ned lashed out as he and struck her arm. Not really knowing how to control her change Ned's nails ripped her skin off from her arm.

She crossed her wrist together over her chest and closed her eyes. She sensed that the two were advancing towards them and she opened her eyes. Screaming she pushed her hands out while a huge dark light blasted out of her hands. This magic was so strong…so different that the men didn't understand it. The blast was huge, covering maybe more than one acre of land.

Nana smiled evilly when she realized that she had killed her attackers. Then she caught something in the corner of her eye. A girl was jogging, listening to her CD walk men and didn't see the blast coming. "NO!!!" Nana yelled.

"NANA!!!" Luke called out as he saw Nana in her form. He new it was he but he was confused about the change.

Nana was too wound up in what was running across her mind. If the girl didn't move she would die. An innocent would die. With Nana being a vampire and all you would think, `oh it's just another human' but no it was deeper then that. Vampires only took what they needed and most of the time they took blood from animals. "MOVE!!!"

But it was too late and the blast hit the girl. Crying out Nana fell to her knees and transformed back immediately. Luke ran over to her and cradled the fragile teen in his arms. Thunder crashed and it rained harder. "Nana? Nana its okay…"

A muffled reply, "…no it's not…I killed Luke I killed." Nana cried out harder and clinched his jacket closer to her body.

"Nana they were bad it's okay. You were protecting yourself."

Nana's head jerked up and she emotionally screamed in Luke's face, tears streaming down her face. "NOT THEM…HER!!!" Nana didn't even dare point to the place where the body once jogged but now in a pile of ashes.

Luke knew exactly who she was talking about and just cuddled the teen closer. "It's okay." He gripped the girl tighter. "Sally can heal her and bring her back."

Suddenly Heero transported in front of them. He growled when he saw Luke cuddling close to his daughter but realized why. He nodded his apology to the red head. Luke nodded back then turned to Nana. "Nana…Heero's here."

The chestnut teen didn't even hesitate as she ran in her fathers arms. Heero nodded then let a hand out to Luke. Luke reached out and Heero teleported them back to their dorms.

-Later on That Night-

Sally had sadly shaken her head when they asked her if they could bring the girl back. Nana solemnly blamed it on herself. Well it kind of in a way was but that was beside the point. Trowa had left with Quatre. The bore little blonde couldn't handle the atmosphere the emotional girl was in. Wufei and Sally left soon after.

Nana had soon fallen asleep. Drained mentally and physically. Duo was already asleep, leaving Luke and Heero by themselves. "If you want I'll take her back to her dorm?" Luke asked.

Heero growled then stopped, listening to the little voice inside his head. `Heero if you don't let the kid do his job and protect our daughter you can sleep on the floor!! `

Heero glanced at the "sleeping" Duo and sighed. "Fine but that's all you'll do."

Luke scooped Nana in his arms and rolled his eyes. Leaving Heero sighed and locked the door. He turned to his lover and knocked his with a pillow. Duo sat up briefly. "Owe… (Yawn)…I was asleep." He smiled back up at Heero.

Heero shook his head and stripped himself of his clothes then put on his long PJ pants. Crawling into bed he snuggled up to Duo. The chestnut haired teen laughed. "So is this why you decided to be nice to Luke?"

Heero growled and shut the lights off.

-Next Day (Sunday)-

Nana woke up. She slowly rose up to her waist. Looking around her room she gasped as Luke was sitting on a chair in her room. The back of the chair facing him and his arms resting on top with his head rested on them. Smiling to herself she got up and walked over to him. Her PJ framing her body, as she stood in front of Luke she placed her hand on his shoulder, waking her protector slowly.

The read head straighten up at the slight touch. He looked around and blushed slightly when his eyes met with Nana's. Nana giggled. "I just wanted to thank you for being their…" She put her hand behind her head and scratched it nervously. "Gosh I must have soaked your shirt with all the crying I did." She laughed.

Luke smirked. "Nana it was raining last night." The young teen looked at him with big eyes then laughed.

-Trowa and Quatre-

Trowa was the first to wake up in the dorm room her shared with his mate. The banged vampire looked down at Quatre and smiled when the blonde curled closer into his chest. Yep! Quatre's a cuddlier…big surprise! ^_^ Trowa pulled the empathic closer which made the blonde open his blue sea green eyes up at him.

"Mmm…Trowa you're warm." Quatre purred.

"And you're cute." Trowa smiled back.

Quatre nodded really fast. "Hai!!"

The brown haired second lowered his arms to Quatre's waist and pulled him back. Quatre rubbed his small nose in the juncture of Trowa's throat and shoulder. Breathing in deeply Quatre sighed. "I love you Kitty Quat."

The blonde looked up and smiled. "I love you too…Tro-koi." He was silent for a few minutes while his mate stoked his blonde locks. "Hm Trowa?" he looked up. "Do we have any plans today?"

Trowa thought for a minute. "No we don't why?"

Quatre smiled. "Good. Then we can just cuddle all day…well until noon." Trowa smiled and bent his head capturing Quatre's lips with his own.

-Noon-

Quatre walked down the small path that surrounded the college Heero's clan members went to. He was happy that Nana was okay. For two reasons.... One the most important he didn't like the little girl to be hurting. Number two…his poor little powers where driving him insane with her misery. Quatre ducked his head. `How can I be so selfish? But it did hurt! ` The blonde laughed.

He kept up his walking but he couldn't help but feel like someone was following him. The blonde cursed himself. Of course someone was following him. With all the attacks on Nana that would be the only explanation. Why didn't he agree to let Trowa walk with him?

Taking his guts for once Quatre turned around to find…nothing? The blonde turned back around and sighed. `You really need to get over yourself Quat. ` He told himself and sighed.

"Hey Quatre!!! Over here buddy!!" A voice from up the hill called down to him.

Quatre looked up and smiled. "I'm coming Sally!!" And with that he ran up to meet his sister.

The stranger in the tree sighed as his small target rounded the corner of the college. `So close. ` He jumped down, his long blonde hair swishing back and forth.

-Lunch with Sally-

Sally looked at her younger brother. "Quat are you okay? You seem tense."

The short male shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know...well…" Quatre looked down at his food his sister made. She was a great cook but he felt…like someone was watching him? "…never mind."

Sally frowned as she took a seat next to the blonde. "Quat you can tell me any thing…you know that don't you?"

Sighing, Quatre turned in his chair and looked at Sally. "I think someone's following me. It just started today but I feel like it's not going to stop for awhile."

Sally frowned at this. "You know Quatre you could be right."

"But when I turned around there was no one there."

"That doesn't mean anything Quat." Sally looked at her brother. "Quatre this could be a non-human person and it may lead or have something to do with Nana's problems." Turning back she took a bite of her spaghetti. "You should tell the other's especially Trowa. That dude is so protective over you, you know?" She stated with her mouth full.

Looking back at his untouched food Quatre smiled. `Yeah he is. `

-Heero and Duo's dorm room-

Duo opened the door, about to leave and go to the arcade in town when his violet eyes scanned a sheet of paper tape to his door. Glancing at it side to side curiously Duo asked, "Hee-koi…what's this?'

Heero growled and got of his couch from which he just sat on. "What are you whining about?"

Duo put his hands on his hips. "Hey I don't whine!!"

Heero walked up to him and pressed his body against Duo's as he began to look at whatever it was his koi was ranting on a bout. "I know." He teased. Then he looked up at the paper with big eyes.

Being between Heero and the door, Duo could hardly see Heero's face but he felt his shock. "Heero get off!! What is it what does it say?"

Heero got up but kept his gaze on the paper. "Tell me what it says Duo."

Duo rolled his eyes. "What you can't read?" Heero growled making Duo chuckle. "Alright I'm reading." He glanced at the paper. "You have until 1: 45 before the college regu...regi..."

Heero sighed. "Regulations Duo. It's regulations."

Duo's brows formed together and he huffed turning back towards the paper. "I know that Heero!! Now what else…You have until 1: 45 before college "regulations"…" He empathize the last word and glared at Heero. Turning back he finished reading. "…comes by to check your dorm room for clean expiations." Duo pulled back and smiled. "Wow I said a big word!! Expiations! Expiations! Aren't you proud of me Heero?"

"Baka! Do you even know what that means?" Duo stared at Heero with big confused violet orbs. "Were in big trouble." Heero smacked his forehead.

Still confused Duo looked back at the paper reading it carefully. "Oh shit Heero we're in trouble!!" He yelled. A huge duh! exclamation mark hit Heero as he crashed to the floor. Coming up off the floor Heero walked up to Duo, and pushed the braided Baka inside their room with the paper.

Duo bounced up and down while looking at his watch. "Heero what are we going to do? It's already 1: 46…"

Suddenly there was a nock at the door with a strict voice behind it. "We have come to check you room."

"Oh fuck…" Duo looked to Heero. Heero looked to Duo and smiled. "What… what?"

"Use your powers?"

"No I can't!"

"Why not?"

Duo already began to pull the beds apart. "Because Heero they do have a key you know. I could be using my powers and he could just walk in. Hmm what would happen when that happens?"

Heero barked. "Hold on!!" Another knock was heard at the door. The owner of cobalt blue eyes looked back at Duo. "What poor little Shinigami can't take risk?"

Duo glared then turned back towards the beds. Heero knew he got him there. Duo raised his hands and the beds came apart. Heero turned around to see the door knob moving. "Hurry Duo."

The door opened as soon as the beds went back to their original side and everything was clean. Duo's hands were behind his back and a `hey I didn't do it…. it's just me the cute one here' type of grin. Heero just opened the door and moved aside. The old man entered the room, looking around curiously.

Taking a pen in hand he marked some stuff on his clip board. "It seems every thing is in order and it looks like…" Suddenly the old man stopped facing Heero's bed. Duo looked open mouthed in the same direction their inspector was. Heero couldn't see so he stood on his tippy toes behind the old man.

`Oh shit...` He exclaimed and fell back on his ass.

The inspector looked back as so did Duo. The chestnut warlock/vampire giggled as he saw Heero blush in embarrassment. Turning around the old man walked to Heero's bed and pulled out what caused the commotion. In his hands was a box. Not any ordinary box, but a box that held a 6 inch blue vibrator.

Duo giggled. "Um Hee-chan? Guess the inspector wants to play with your *toy*?"

Heero glared at his lover with flush stained cheeks. The old man sighed and handed Heero the box. "Everything is in order…now I will be leaving you guys." He looked back at Heero and smiled. Walking up to the tense confused teen the old man whispered in the messy haired vampire leader, "Young man what an interesting *toy*. May you possible tell me where you got it?"

Duo who has ears as a bat heard everything and was trying his best to keep his laughter down as Heero's face turned deep red. Heero glared at the old man as he smiled and walked out. As the door closed he locked it and slowly turned to Duo. "Duo…" he whispered threw gritted teeth.

Duo smiled at his lover while he bounced on the bed. "Yes Heero?"

Heero turned around and yelled, "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! YOU KNOW THAT'S NOT MINE….."

Duo fell on the bed, laughing his ass off. "I know…but you…should a…..seen your face...hahaha."

Heero glared and jumped on his koibito. Duo voiced a little "eep" before he smiled up at his lover as Heero had a death grip on his wrists which were over his head and he was sitting on Duo's hips. Duo couldn't move. "I couldn't help it. I love making you blush."

Heero smiled slyly down at Duo. "You know there's other ways to make me blush…" he stated in a very sultry tone. But then he growled. "But you happen to make an act out of it in front of others."

Duo leaned up and kissed Heero. "So besides that you love me…"

Heero rolled his eyes and leaned down to Duo. "Yes Shinigami…I love you."

-Tomorrow School-

Heero growled at Duo as his lover stood next to Wufei and Trowa telling them everything that happened yesterday. `That damn bastard. You made your bed Duo…now your going to roll in it. I'm going to make sure you have blue balls for five weeks!! `

Duo heard this through there link and walked over to Heero. "I'm sorry Heero. Pleas forgive me…" He started to kiss Heero's shoes.

Everyone looked at the two as class started to begin. Heero grew nervous. "Get off of me stupid. Fine…fine I won't do it."

Duo got up and smiled back at Heero. As he walked off to his seat he winked at Heero. Rolling his cobalt blue eyes Heero went to his seat. `Yup he's wrapped around your little finger for sure. ` He heard someone say in his mind. Knowing right away that it was Wufei he turned to glare at the Chinese vampire.

-Quatre and Sally-

The two blonde pair sat under a tree doing threw homework. Suddenly Quatre had that feeling again. He tensed. Sally realized this and turned to him. "Quatre…are you alright?"

"I think I'm being watched again."

Sally stood up and pulled Quatre up with him. "Come on let's get Trowa and the others. As they turned around they were stopped by two people. One was a man with long blonde hair, incredible body and blue eyes just a little lighter then Heero's. The man looked Quatre up and down with a predatory look in his blue orbs. The woman beside them looked at them and smiled.

She steeped forward. "I'm looking for a young warlock…long braid. "Sally and Quatre gasped. "Goes by the name Duo…"

-At Lunch-

Wufei and Trowa were waiting in line while Duo sat nearly on top of Heero's lap as the two lovers shared some sushi made by Heero. They were about to share another Californian roll as Sally and Quatre burst in running towards them.

Duo laughed as they nearly ran in front of a teacher. "What's the rush Quat...Sally?" Duo looked back at Heero and nuzzled his chest.

Quatre spoke up. "Duo…who's Hilde?"

Duo dropped his chopsticks and absolutely froze. It seemed as if he wasn't even breathing. Heero looked down just in time as Duo slipped into unconsciousness. Heero scooped him up and ran to their dorm room with the blonde pair hot on their heels.

Once their Heero set Duo on his bed and asked Sally to bring him back. The blonde teen nodded and did her task. Duo came up gasping. Guess he was holding his breath.

Duo bowed his head; loose strains from his braid covered his face. Tears soaked the sheet under him. Heero looked confusingly at him. "Duo?"

Duo choked on a sob try it to look like a laugh but everyone knew his mask was slipping. He looked up at everyone with wet violet orbs. He whispered. "Guess…the past does comes back to haunt you."

KJ: How was that guys? I hope u liked it? Was it a good improvement?Okay can you guys guess Quatre's stockers? What does some chick named Hilde want with Duo? And finally Duo's past is mentioned in the story again. What's so sad about the man's past that he's afraid to tell Heero? Heero's plan to propose to Duo get's held back. Trowa becomes angry as Quatre starts to fall for Zechs…or does he? I hope this was long enough for u guys? It took a while but I finished the chapter. I would like reviews to see how I did.
