Numb. He didn't know if he was cold, if maybe he was injured, bleeding slowly, if perhaps his heart had slowed, mind stopped. There was only numbness. A lack of being. He didn't sigh as he collapsed on the bed, not surprised in the least when he couldn't feel the sheets. Not even aware there were sheets.
