In The Bedroom: Night 4.

Dawn is breaking, night slipping away. Heero doesn't want to wake his sleeping companion, but he can't stay away. As he places the laptop on the single desk, he walks silently to the bedside. Duo is back. There are bruises marring the face, dark circles gathering around the eyes. A shadow has fallen over the bright face. It displeases Heero.

Shredding his clothing, he runs his hands over the smooth panes of his body, checking for injury. There are several, but they will heal by morning. They are not important. He looks in the bathroom, sees the first aid kit still open on the sink.

Duo…

Heero grabs a band-aid and moves back to his bed. It's a stupid thing, the band-aid in his hand. He has never bothered to use one before. Still…Duo likes band aids…Heero takes it out of the small wrapper and plasters it over the gash on his first finger. He doesn't know how he got it. He only knows it's a small stinging pain. A pain he can do something about.
