Chapter 2:

Heero stretched and laid back into the uncomfortable shuttle seat. They had been on the same flight to a colony called L6 for about three hours now and it had been that exact amount of time a redhead stewardess said he couldn't use his laptop. Gawd, someone was going to pay dearly!

He settled for lightly dozing though he knew that he'd wake up with a cramp from hell. No sooner had he closed his eyes, bronze skin and long ropes of hair clouded his mind. The dazzling smile from the nameless boy who wore low riding trunks that revealed tight wash board abs and the teasing glimpse of the muscle leading to….

“Heero!”

Cobalt eyes snapped open to stare into his mother ecstatic face. “We're here.” She waited patiently as her son stretched and even endured the sound of bones popping. “You were sleeping for quite a while.”

Heero grunted and lifted himself stiffly from his seat. He was all too ready to leave the grey and pale blue interior of the shuttle.

When the were finally released from the carrier on the grounds that no one was sick (physical or mentally) or carrying anything illegal (something they should've done beforehand), the family of three could finally get a good look around the colony. It was just as big as L4 and looked to be just as well funded.

There were several roads leading to different places and small carriages parked to the side. The area that wasn't a street was occupied by tall brick buildings with a large glass window. The doors of the structures were either a simple cloth or a solid oak door.

“Isn't this wonderful?! It hasn't changed one bit!” Keumi squealed. She spun around as she walked ahead of her family. Her pleated mid thigh long crème dress twirled out around her. “Oo, let's go to see Helen now!”

Odin shook his head at his wife's enthusiasm. “Let's go to see old man Kristin first, love. He's not that far and it's more convenient.”

Despite the pout on her face the Japanese woman obediently turned and walked up to one of the many brick buildings. Heero was the only one to remain where he stood. This place looked old fashioned, like a London town out of one of the story books he was read as a child.

“Come along, Heero!” Keumi called and waved the youth over. Heero followed his parents reluctantly to a shop labeled `Mystical Pets'. Inside, he could hear the sound of bird calls and other random sounds.

The shop was badly lit only having a light source in the form of a single candle at the front desk. Dust particles floated suspended in the air and picked up the soft rays of moonlight filtering into the eerie atmosphere.

Small cages and pins were strewn throughout and along the walls. Some were stacked atop each other while others were big enough to take up walkway space as well. Heero could barely make out the odd shaped shadows moving around inside. They didn't look like dogs, cats or any animal he ever saw.

“Kemui? Odin? Is that you?” An old haggard looking man stepped from the shadows. His ears were fanned out from his odd shaped head and his nose was long and hooked. His lips, along with the other mentions features, were exaggeratedly large and poked out in a sour pout. Thin white hair was sleeked to the side in a wry attempt to cover a large bald spot. Despite all this, he wore a gold framed glass circle pinched between his brow and cheek bone (think Walter off of Hellsing). He wore a crisp pressed black tuxedo and tie.

The man then turned to Heero and offered a crooked toothed smile. “I haven't seen you in a long time.” Then turned to Keumi and Ordin. “It's been some years hasn't it.”

All the while, Heero only stood there staring at the shorter man. All these years of telling himself that the troll in his closet wasn't real and here the mother fucker was standing right in front of him.

“We came to get our son a pet.” Odin said. He stepped forward and shook the man's hand.

“How have you been these years?” Keumi stepped forward as well. “Oh, this is Heero. Heero, this is Kristin.”

Heero was taken aback as the man bowed formally at him. He returned the bow as well.

“Now, what would like. A sphinx, or a dragon, perhaps?”

“W-what?”

Kristin smiled at the boy's bewildered expression. He motioned to something in the back of the shop. Tiny bubbles of light floated in and danced on the air around them. The room was soon filled with the warm glow they emitted.

The Japanese teen cocked his head at one the floated up to his chest. If he looked hard enough, he could see the dancing figure in the center of the light. A fairy. He lifted his hand timidly and cupped it under the tiny being. It slowly landed on his offered hand.

It felt warm and sent tingles up his arms. He soon found himself smiling genuinely.

Keumi stepped close to her husband and laid a loving hand on his chest as she watched their son's spellbound face. Odin bought his hand up as well and laid it over his wife's.

Heero continued to watch the fairy twirl and dance over his palm. He was oblivious to the stares he was receiving.

Kristin smiled in awe at the youth. Only the innocent of heart could ever get a fairy's attention like that. A special someone called for a special mystical partner. The delighted troll scurried happily to the special section of the small store.

TBC……

A/N: I think this is going to be more of a 2x1 fic. Just for a change, ya know. I always do 1x2 for some reason. Not that I can't see Hee-babe submissive and all. After `Enslaving Heero' by Akuma2x1, all that changed! Long live 2x1! Anyways, I have not a clue what I want this oh so special animal to be. Maybe I'll make up something. It'll be cute of course.

This was cute! Heero playing with a fairy. Mr. Omae o korosu himself. *snickers* Review! You know what makes me happy!
