Gundam Wing Fan Fiction ❯ Nightmares ❯ Midnight meetings ( Chapter 2 )
I woke with a start and rubbed my eyes as I tried not to forget the images of my past evils. I could not sleep, hell, I didn't want to try at anymore. I got up and got dressed in sweatpants and a tank top, I would go to the gym and work out, perhaps when my body was completely fatigued I could finally rest. I found the gym and at first I thought I was alone but then I heard the steady sound of feet moving and I returned to my old ways of slinking in the shadows. My breath and heart rate both became so soft and rhythmic that they would blend in with the humming of the electricity. I crept through the hall to a small fighting gym to see three young men. One sat on the floor drinking a soda while the other two fought. I watched them move, it was skill and grace that I could relate to. I started to turn when I heard the sound of someone behind me. I cursed myself silently as my attacker struck. I gave him a gentle kick in the stomach, knocking him into the wall and I jumped back into the shadows of the empty weight room. I locked the light code so that only I could activate the lights. My attacker would have to find me in the dark as he entered I attacked and I was thrown out of the weight room into the room where the three boys seemed shocked to see me roll to my feet. I waited for my attacker, a young man around my age, dark hair fell into his face. I waited for him to come closer, acting as if I favored my right due to injury. Kicking him with my right foot as I launched myself into the air on my left alone. We fought for some time, the other boys stopped to watch as I finally got tired and knocked my opponent to the ground, slipping the knife from my hair and gently pressing the blade to his throat.
"Don't move," I said quietly as I looked him over.
"It's alright, he's one of us," one of the other young men said and I looked at them. I pulled the blade away, placing it in my thigh sheath. I helped my attacker up and nodded at him.
"Well, lookie at that," the young man who had been watching the other two fight said as he came over and looked at me. His long chestnut hair was kept in a braid and his band fell into his face. I looked at him and smirked.
"Duo Maxwell," I looked at the young man before me. "Trowa Barton." The young man who had told me Trowa was `one of us'. "Heero Yui." The other young man with black hair. "Chang Wufei." I said simply as I looked at them. I stared at each.
"Yeeeeeeeea, that would be us and you are?" Duo asked as I had a stare down with Wufei.
"I have no name," I stated as I turned to leave. Trowa stood before me. "Most in my field change names so quickly it doesn't pay to get used to one." I started down the hall. My arm was in a grip and I stared into the black eyes of Wufei.
"I know you," he whispered and I looked at him,
"I have never met you in person," I said. "I have been very careful not to leave a trail of pictures of myself either." He smirked as he pulled back.
"Not careful enough," he said as he looked down at me, the light in his eyes was strange.
"Then I do not know how you managed to get a picture of me," I stated as I stared again to be stopped by him.
"I found it in the bed chamber of Treize Kushrenada," he hissed and my eyes widened as I threw the young man into the wall, my gun was between his eyes.
"Silence, I will meet you in one hour in you chamber," I stated and shoved the gun into his skull before walking away into the shadows.
I had tried to forget what my punishment for failing to kill Treize had been.
