Boy and the rest belongs to their anime creators. The
title belongs to the song from Buffy the Vampire
Slayer's musical with Spike. WAH!

Chapter 5: Mummy Allen's Story
"Let me rest in peace
Let me get some sleep
Let me take my love and bury it
In a hole six foot deep" -Spike
The next morning found them waking up to breakfast
before plundering the tomb. After breakfast, they
search for an opening they could enter through.
Finding one, they start pushing at it. The stone
opens to reveal a hallway. Some of Tybalt's slaves
got nervous. The group ventures inward. They come to
a fork in the road. Tybalt and his slaves decide to
go right while Wufei, Skids, Heero, Duo, Cyanide,
Skids, Harley, and Mikhael goes left.
Tybalt's group finds a chest with wards all over it.
Opening the salt pressurized seal, they find jars and
a thick book. The jars hold the internal organs of
the dead, but the book they couldn't open. Wufei's
group found a sarcophagus buried under an Anubis
statue. Skids has found a little amulet a little
while back when they found the sarcophagus. Seeing it
locked, Skids put the amulet against the hole found on
the lid. A click sounds and the amulet starts turning
within the hole.
"Guess it was a lock." Harley theorizes.
Wufei rolls his eyes and goes back to inspecting the
writing on the walls with Mikhael and Heero. A shout
from Tybalt informs them that they are leaving the
tomb. Deciding that it is enough discovering for one
day, they leave as well. Skids takes the amulet with
him.
"So what did you find?" Tybalt asks Wufei.
"A mummy." Wufei replies. "You?"
"Insides." Tybalt says smugly, leering over to Mikhael
and Harley. "And a book."
"So, was there anything special about our mummy?" Duo
asks.
Wufei starts, "Well...he was named Allen. He was
Pharaoh Tengo's advisor and sorcerer. The pharaoh had
a daughter named Tabitha, whose mother disappeared
after her birth. Many speculated that her mother was
a demon."
"So basically she's one scary hellspawn." Harley sums
up.
Wufei looks at him funny, "Yeah. That's not how I
would term it, but you've got the basic idea. Anyway,
Tabitha was feared by her people because of it, even
though, as a possible future ruler, it is best to be
loved by her people. To put it simply, Allen had a
crush on her, but kept it a secret. He would flirt,
court her secretly, and do other things to gain her
favor. They became lovers, hiding it behind her
father's back."
"Where they screwing like rabbits?" Duo asks.
"Only you would as a sex question." Wufei mutters.
"Hey!" Duo replies. "I resent that."
"Whatever. Back to his story. The pharaoh soon found
them out when he had entered his daughter's chambers
and found her in the arms of Allen." Wufei continues.
"Ouch. A bad way for your parents to find out you
have a lover." Skids says, grimacing.
Wufei glares at Skids. Skids covers his mouth.
"With no more interruptions... The pharaoh was
enraged, he had him executed for treason." Wufei
concludes.
"Sentence?" Cyanide asks.
"Buried alive would be the statement I'd use."
Mikhael says. "The sarcophagus listed how he was
'mummified'."
"Oh you poor dear!" Harley cooes, cuddling up against
Mikhael.
Duo grimaces, "Is it as bad as the usual way?"
Mikhael nods, "It's worse actually. He was basically
tossed onto a slab, had his innards ripped from him
and tossed into the sarcophagus with flesh-eating
scarabs and locked in."
Everyone turns green at the image portrayed.
"Yum." Cyanide remarks sarcastically. "What a way to
go."
"Gee thanks for the image." Skids says, shuddering.
Cyanide puts an arm around Skids in comfort. Heero
raises an eyebrow and nudges Duo. They gave each
other devious grins and set to work on their newest
mission to pass the time.
"So what happened to little miss evil?" Harley asks.
"From history, I believe her father hired a new
sorcerer and made them put a geis on Tabitha." Wufei
informs him.
"Do you know what it would be?" Mikhael asks.
"I think it was for her to follow his commands
obediently until he died. He arranged her marriage
and he died during the birth of her second child."
Wufei says.
"So now that she was free from his geis, did she wreak
havoc on her husband and kids?" Duo asks.
Wufei glares, "No, she did not. However bitter she
may be about her father's orders, she raised her
second child until he was 10 and could be looked after
properly by the eldest child. Then she committed
suicide, believing that she would see her lover,
Allen, in the afterlife."
"Can that happen?" Cyanide asks. "Meeting her lover
in the afterlife?"
Wufei shakes his head, "From the looks of his burial
chambers, that would be unlikely. Normally, important
people would have engravings blessing their journey
into the afterlife, making sure to please the gods and
goddesses. Allen's chambers bore curses. Especially
since his sarcophagus was guarded by an Anubis
statue."
"That's a bad thing?" Mikhael asks.
"Yes. When you have Anubis guarding your sarcophagus
like that, your soul cannot escape to judgment. So
you are stuck within the confines of the sarcophagus."
Wufei explains.
"That must explain the lock." Heero states.
Wufei nods in agreement.
"I wonder what's in the book they found." Wufei
wonders.
"Maybe you should ask." Mikhael suggests.
"Yeah. And not talk like I wasn't here." Tybalt
replies sarcastically. "Keep in mind that I'M the one
who got you here."
"How about we ALL go to bed! We can discuss all this
in the morning." Wufei says sternly.
Duo and Heero dash off to their tents.
"And I mean SLEEP! I don't want to hear another one
of your wild nights!" Wufei roars after them.
Duo's clear laughter is his only response. Wufei
sighs as he stomps off towards his own tent for the
night. Tybalt goes off for a talk to his slaves,
leaving the book he found in his tent. Mikhael and
Harley goes off for a small moonlight stroll before
heading off to bed. Skids sneaks into Tybalt's tent
and retrieves the book. Cyanide looks at Skids oddly.
"What are you doing? It's going to be looked at in
the morning." Cyanide hisses.
"I just want a peek. I can't wait." Skids whines.
"Just do it quickly before Tybalt finds out it's
gone!" Cyanide urges.
"That lock on the book, it looks like the same one on
the sarcophagus." Skids observes, fitting the amulet
within the lock.
The lock automatically turns the amulet, just like it
did with the sarcophogus'. Skids and Cyanide couldn't
tell whether it is real hoofbeats or their blood
pounding through their ears. All they know is that
they hear thunder approaching.
