Hirokai was nearly in tears as she fell to her knees outside of the school. Quatre hurried to his friends' side and hugged her warmly. "What's wrong Hiro-chan? They'll be alright. I mean...they have to be." he smiled reassuringly. Hirokai sniffled and looked up at Quatre, her eyes swimming with unshed tears, "No Quatre...they won't." she whispered hauntingly.

Hirokai sniffled slightly and closed her eyes briefly. All grew quiet and a deafening silence soon took over the schoolyard. Hirokai's sapphire eyes flashed open and with a gaping mouth, took in the sight around her. It seemed as if a spell had been cast on the world around them. Her delicate brows furrowed in confusion and she scanned the yard suspiciously. Everything was still and had taken on an ashy shade of gray. She jumped up and looked around frantically, Quatre was no where to be found. she ran to the doors of her school and noticed that her blonde friend was already inside. She sighed in relief and ran inside.

"Quatre!" she yelled, but the boy didn't turn. Hirokai ran towards him in worry, when he suddenly turned as if he had just heard the shout.

"Hirokai! What's going on? Where are we?" he asked in a slightly panicked voice.

The small girl stopped in front of her friend and embraced him tightly. Upon releasing him she looked up, her arms still loosely around him, "You had me worried...I thought…you were gone." she whispered brokenly. She cleared throat and answered his earlier question with a brave tone, "I think we're still at school we've just…stopped."

Quatre raised an eyebrow questioningly, "what do you mean 'stopped'?" he asked confused. Hirokai finally released him a looked around, "I mean time…existence...life...it's...stopped."

"Then why are we still moving and living?" Quatre asked. Hirokai pursed her lips and frowned slightly in thought, "I really don't know." She answered truthfully, "But look outside! I'll show you!" With that she grabbed the pale hand and shoved through the school door. Once they were outside Hirokai pulled her friend to the gate of their private school. "See? Look at all the people! They're frozen!" She stated. Quatre's aquamarine eyes widened in disbelief, "Oh no.."

Suddenly an electric black stream of light burst through the roof of the school behind them. Hirokai's eyes widened as she screamed, "DUO!" Along with Quatre who exclaimed, "TROWA!"

The two shot back toward the building, but were thrown back against the school gate as an explosion shook the school. The two grimaced in pain as they slid to the ground. Hirokai weakly pushed herself up, off the cement ground, gritting her teeth against the pain. She slowly stumbled to the small blonde and helped him to his feet. The two turned to run for the building but stopped dead still at the sight before them.

Above the large school building the ray of ebony light still shone ominously, but now there was something different about it. Three slender bodies floated up towards a gaping hole in the sky where the black stream ended. Looking closer at the bodies Hirokai gasped, "NO! DUO! TROWA! WUFEI!" she yelled desperately.

The three said boys were drifting unconsciously closer and closer toward the hole in the sky. They looked as if they had been wounded and were scratched up from head to toe. Each boy had a dim light of a different color, faintly glowing on his forehead. Duo had a golden sun, Trowa a glowing green Jupiter symbol and Wufei a flickering red Mars insignia. Hirokai unconsciously raised her hand up to her own forehead to the small crescent she knew would be there. With her lip quivering she ran towards the school building with Quatre close behind. Before she could reach the school walls, however the three boys were helplessly sucked into the black hole. Within seconds of the boys entering, the hole spiraled to a close, leaving the two students alone.

The small Japanese raised both hands to cover her mouth, and shook her head in disbelief with tears slowly streaming down her cheeks. Her Arabian comrade stared in horror and amazement with his mouth open and tears welling in his bright blue eyes. Gaining control of his vocal chords he asked, "Wha…What just happened?"

"They're gone!" was the only reply the girl could respond, "They're gone." she whispered brokenly.

Just as soon as time had stopped it restarted again and the students were left looking up at an empty sky. School was out so the two walked back into the building dazedly. Upon shutting her locker Hirokai heard her name and turned around to see a thin Chinese rushing up to her.

"Hirokai," she panted, "Where's Wufei? What the hell happened a minute ago? What caused the rip?" she asked breathily. Deep blue eyes widened as Hirokai gasped lightly in surprise, "You...you were awake, Meiran? When it happened?" she asked. The taller girl nodded once and frowned, "You don't know why we were awake do you?" she said more as a statement then a question. The other girl nodded with furrowed brows. Meiran sighed as Quatre briskly walked up. "Hey Meiran!" he said with a ghost of his usual cheerfulness.

Meiran smiled a small smile and nodded lightly. Hirokai looked up at her friend and said, "She was awake too. She knows why we were awake." Quatre looked sharply to Meiran and gave her look of questioning.

Meiran closed her eyes slowly, "You've always been special…Quatre with you clairvoyancey, and Hirokai With your dreams and now that." She looked pointedly at the crescent on the girl's forehead.

"Well it's because we're not exactly human." she hesitated.

Hirokai gaped, "Not exactly human? Then what the hell am I? Are we? " She asked. Meiran lifted her hand up to Hirokai's cheek and smiled.

"Calm down, Heero. I'll tell you what you are." The small Japanese gasped a jerked away from the other teen's touch as if she had slapped her. "Wha...what did you say?" she whispered to Meiran.

Meiran looked at her with pity, "I know what you are, Heero. Don't hide from Me." she pleaded

Quatre looked back and forth between the two in confusion. "Hirokai...What is she talking about?" he asked incredulously.

Hirokai looked down ashamed, "My name's not Hirokai…It's Heero." she said in a slightly deeper voice, "And I'm not a girl," she paused, "I'm a boy." he looked up into Quatre's stormy eyes apologetically.

The blonde's eyes widened and he grew slightly paler, "Seriously?" he asked. Heero looked down, unable to look one of his best friends in the eye. He felt two fingers under his chin and lifted his head back up. "You are, aren't you?" the blonde whispered, "I always…felt there was something different about you…always knew you were hiding." The Japanese simply nodded and looked back down in fear of rejection. He felt long warm arms encircle him in a loving and understanding embrace. "Why?" was the only word Quatre said.

Heero shut his eyes tightly and returned his friends embrace, "Duo." was all she could say. Quatre's eyes softened in pity, "Duo will love you no matter what gender you are. Do you really think he's that shallow? And what about if you had gotten together? He would have realized eventually." the blonde paused a smiled softly, "He'll probably be more angry at the fact that you lied to him than the fact that your a boy."

"It's too late now," Heero sniffled, "I'll never be able to tell him how I feel." Meiran chose this moment to intervene, "It's not too late." The two boys looked up in hope to their friend. "You didn't let me finish." she said to Heero, "We're not exactly human." she paused, looking cautious. "We're reincarnates." she said. "That's why you have the insecurity that Duo won't love you as a male." she looked at Heero, "It's because your the reincarnation of a girl." she looked up to Quatre, "As you are also." The blonde nodded, "Well I think we should go. We can talk about this later. First we need to get back Duo, Trowa, and Wufei."

Meiran gave a curt nod in agreement, "Let's go." She walked briskly with her backpack strapped securely to her. Before Quatre turned to follow he silently held out his hand to the smaller boy next to him. Heero's head snapped up and he looked into Quatre's compassionate eyes. Smiling he clasped his hand to the taller boys and walked after Meiran.

Driving up to a cafe Heero blew his bangs out of his eyes. All of these sudden revelations were getting to him, but he had to stay strong, for Duo, and his friends. He took in a deep breath, and walked into the small cafe to see Meiran and Quatre waiting with Relena, Dorothy, and Zechs. He smiled a large, happy smile at seeing his friends together waiting for him. Walking over to the booth in the corner Heero smiled in greeting, "Lena-chan! Doro-chan!" he exclaimed glomping onto the two lovers. Relena smiled a polite, but happy smile. "It's good to see you Heero." Heero's smile slowly dropped and he looked away in shame, "So you all know as well?" he asked softly.

Dorothy gave Heero a half smile, "Don't worry muffin, we're not angry." Heero pouted at the nickname.

"Humph! Don't start!" he mock frowned. Heero then turned to his silent friend, "You aren't angry with me...are you, Zechs-kun?"

The tall blonde shook his head softly, "I trust you, Hee-kun."

Heero smiled at his friends' faith in him and sent him a look of gratitude. "Now, what are we to do about our friends?" Quatre said. Meiran's face became serious, and her eyes were shadowed, "We don't know exactly what's happened to them so far, but we do know that they're in grave danger." Heero frowned asking, "What should we do?"

"We have to find a way into that time warp." Zechs answered.

"Right." Dorothy nodded, "The Dark Moon will be expecting us, though, so we must find an inconspicuous way into the rip." Quatre and Heero frowned at the words their friends were using, time warp? Dark Moon? rip?

"Excuse me," Quatre interrupted politely, "but just what in the hell are you talking about?" he asked. Heero nodded in agreement, also curious. Relena smiled apologetically, "Forgive them. They're so eager to kick ass that they don't want to inform the misinformed." she said sending a glare to her friends. Turning back to the two she explained, " What you two experienced today was called a 'rip' as in a tear in the fabric of time. That giant black hole you saw? That was a time warp. Finally the Dark Moon Family are what we are up against. They took our friends." Heero frowned know even more confused then before. Opening his mouth to say something Relena hurriedly interrupted. "Now before you fly off the handle let me explain something. We are reincarnates as Meiran already told you. However, you aren't just your normal everyday reincarnated boys. You were both girls…princesses. Colonies formed around earth and kingdoms were built on planets. Each of us was and is the prince or princess of a planet." She stopped here and looked directly into Heero's blue eyes so that he would fully understand what she was about to say.

"You're different Heero. You were the princess of the Moon, and Duo the prince of Earth. Something happened, though when Duo died. His soul was merged with your best friends', the princess of Venus. Therefore, he is both the reincarnation of your best friend and your lover."
