Prologue
Heero stood in front of the Gundam that was called Wing Zero. He just stood there admiring the death machine that he was to pilot. Pilot. That word heralded new things to him and new experiences. He knew what he wanted to accomplish but was this really the way to go about it? Cronus and Aphrodite did say that he would find his soul mate if he did this, but the only question was how would he know it was his other half when he met this person? The only clue they gave him was that this person was a fellow fighter for peace.
'I sure hope I don't die before I meet them.' He thought to himself. Heero reached his hands up and ran them over his face and ears. After making sure his Fae features he acquired from one of his mothers was hidden away with magic he pushed a button on the right leg of the massive machine. A ladder came down. When it stopped he climbed to the cockpit. Getting inside he sat down in the pilot chair and strapped himself in. The hanger doors opened. Heero started up the engine and flew out into the bleakness of outer space.
Heero set the coarse for Earth. After doing this he leaned back in his chair and closing his eyes, he thought back to the events that led to his being here.
~*~ Flashback ~*~
Heero sat in the main garden of the Atlantian Castle in the Relm of the Gods, thinking. Although he looked 16 he wasn't. He had lived in this castle since he was born here 89 years ago. Heero was a hybrid, or half-breed. Daninid elves were one of the many breeds of elves. They had a high tolerance of pain, a small set of fangs, and sharp hearing. His Okasan was one of the elves, and had passed down these inherited traits to her son, Heero. His other mother (this will be explained in later chapters, don't worry!) was an Angel. He called her by the Angelic word for mother, Shinshi. From her he inherited her speed, agility and fast healing and instead of having cat like eyes that were common among Elves, he had his Shinshi's eyes, cobalt blue but he still had his Okasan's eyesight.
He liked living here with his parents and the rest of their family that consisted of all the Gods, Goddesses and Demigods. You would think that with his parents being Goddess's that he would be born a God but he wasn't. Everyone else weren't born Gods either.
In the beginning of time there had been the nine planets and the sun. This was a time of chaos; peace, order and justice did not exist. People fought each other constantly. The spirits of the planets let this go on for 500 years until they got fed up with it and appointed their own champions. There came two warriors, a man and a woman, from each planet. They were the first Gods. Together they fought and ended the fighting but with a price. They had to use the power of the planets to bring order to the world and when they did this, they each merged with a half of their planets' spirit making them immortal.
His train of thought was broken when he picked up the sound of someone approaching. Heero turned his head towards the sound. Gaea, Goddess of the Earth and his Okasan, came down to the path towards the bench he was sitting on with his Shinshi, Leto Goddess of the Sun.
"What's the sullen look for? Come now cheer up! The world's not ending anytime soon, no need to act all depressed." Leto said with a smile as she approached. She sat down to his right while Gaea sat down to his left. Heero let out a sigh before he answered.
"It's just that....You all have someone when I don't, you know? I want someone to love me." Heero said holding his head in his hand.
"Oh sweetheart we love you." Gaea said putting her arm around his shoulders. Heero put his head on her shoulder and wrapped his arms around her in a hug.
"That's not what I mean and you know it." Leto sighed as Heero continued, "I want someone to love me like you love Shinshi; how Hades loves Persephone or Selene loves Endymione or...." He let out another dejected sigh. Gaea and Leto looked at each other over the top of his head. They gave each other a nod; it was time to let him go.
"Honey, there's something we've known for some time now" Gaea began, "you have a soul mate on Earth in another dimension. Coronus and Aphrodite told us this sometime ago and they didn't want us to tell you until the time was right. If you want you can go to Earth and look for this person, with our blessing." Heero looked at her and Leto then gave them hugs. With a smile on his face he walked out of the garden and towards his room to pack.
