A/N: Hey! thanks to those that reviewed! so! now! Allow me to continue on with this. Oh!, and just a note; instead of putting in authors notes in the middle, I'm just gonna put roman numerals in brackets after something I'm going to comment on, and the comment will be at the end. Oh and I'm sorry it took so long to update...just um..well, to be honest, I forgot about it. Well, ciao!

Chapter 3; Ninmu Kanryou

"So, Kenji, when did you get to Canada?" the girl who sat next to Kenji in Math, Lindsay, just wouldn't stop bothering him.

"Uh..just last week. I was just getting settled a little before coming to school here for the first time."

"Cool!" she did this cheeky, way too happy smile, and continued on, "So did your family come with you?" Kenji shook his head.

"I haven't lived with my family for a long time.." Kenji trailed off, with a sad expression on his face.

"Oh really? What happened to them?" Lindsay, not taking note of Kenji's sadness, just kept pressing the matter, until finally the girl in front of Kenji, Tina, turned around.

"Lindsay, leave him alone for fuck's sake, you numb-skull preppy whore!" Tina said exasperatedly, before promptly turning back around. Lindsay left him alone, almost sulkily, but turned to her friend on her other side and started whispering to her. Kenji tapped Tina on the shoulder and whispered his thanks, with a small smile on his face, "No problem, she was annoying me, and I'm not the one she's talking to. I could only imagine how you felt." Tina smiled, then turned back to the lesson.

Shortly after that, the bell rang to change classes. Class seemed to go by quickly once Kenji didn't have to listen to Lindsay anymore, and what seemed like just moments later it was lunch.

The G-boys and Kenji met up at a cluster of cherry blossom trees outside to eat. When Quatre saw Kenji, he ran up to him and gave him a hug, "I'm so sorry to hear that your parents died in a horrible car crash like that!" Kenji looked at him confused for a moment, before Duo cut in.

"What? I heard that his father died from brain cancer and his mom killed herself after her father died!"

"That's funny, I heard that his parents both went and jumped off a cliff together; a joint suicide." Wufei said, almost immediately after Duo finished. A long silence passed, with Kenji, Duo, and Quatre looking extremely confused. Trowa cut in, breaking the silence.

"Well it's obvious that someone's been spreading a few rumours about you, Kenji." was all that Trowa said, but that was enough to cause Duo to rolls his eyes with a 'Well, Duh!' look on his face.

"Who asked you about your parents, if anyone?" Wufei asked, almost stern.

"Lindsay, this girl in my Math class. she was asking all sorts of questions about me.." Kenji bowed his head in embarrassment for not having seen this coming, "Until the girl in front of me, Tina, told her to stop pestering me."

"Tina..Fedorak?" (I) Duo interrupted Kenji from saying more, "She's great! She has no convictions about telling some of the girls around here what she really thinks about them! Haha, I'm glad you have her on your good side!"

At this, they all started to relax a bit, and just talked and ate their lunches, as lunch went by rather quickly. The day, too, followed 'en suite', and before they realized it, they were walking home together.

"So Kenji, how do you like school here?" Quatre inquired of the quiet youth, who was becoming visibly more relaxed as they walked home, Quatre thinking it due to leaving school.

"Oh, it's actually rather fun. I used to go to such stuffy private schools, or overly relaxed public schools. This school is a nice mix of the two. It's a unisex private school, which I've never been to before, that doesn't have horribly stuffy uniforms and stuff. it's a pretty alright school all in all." Kenji added sheepishly, "Though some of the people there I'm unsure about."

"I don't blame you. So where exactly do you live again?" Duo asked, butting in the conversation.

"Oh, just a few houses up from here. Hey, do you guys want to come in?" Kenji looked a little embarrassed, "It's been a long time since I've had any people over.."

"Well I'd sure love to, and I'm sure the others wouldn't mind." Quatre smiled, and Kenji looked at the others hopefully, getting a fervent nod from Duo, a pair of brief nods from Wufei and Trowa, followed by the traditional 'Hn' from Heero. Kenji beamed, glad they were coming over.

"Great!" they shortly reached his house, Kenji saying so, and the five pilots looked up. The house was huge! There was a long semi-circular driveway leading up to the house's huge double doors. The front yard was huge, with a large bird fountain slightly off from the driveway, and a small pond with a few fish in them. The house was on probably about an acre of land, and it stood out from the houses around it. Now, this was saying something, since the houses around it weren't exactly poor in themselves.

"Wow..." was all the loud-mouthed Duo could say. None of the pilots had ever guessed that this illustrious house would belong to their new friend.

"My family was looking into getting this house for me when I first moved here. How is it that you have this house?"

"Oh um...I have a fair bit of money in the bank earning interest enough to pay for this and more." ducking his head, he punched in a code to open the gates to enter his property as he tactfully changed the subject, "So what do you all want to eat? You're more than welcome to anything that my cook can make you."

Shortly after, as they all enjoyed a snack of marble cake with french vanilla icing, the boys all just relaxed, chatting away and just getting to know each other a little more; or at least, Kenji got to know the G-boys a little more, and they to know him.

"Duo, are you quite done, or does that stomach of yours not have an ending?" Kenji asked observantly as Duo reached for his fourth piece, "You're more than welcome to it, but I was just curious." a grin crept onto Kenji's face, and he laughed softly as Duo grinned back, taking a big bite out of the piece he had been reaching for. The Gundam pilots were almost relieved; Kenji hadn't started smiling and laughing all that much since he got back to his house and they began to talk a bit more.

Kenji was a quiet and almost timid seeming creature, but as they got to know him, they realised that there was more to him than that and that he was actually a very fun person to be around, and very easygoing. Kenji just needed more of a chance to smile, and every single one of the pilots planned on giving him more chances to do just that.

Interrupting the thoughts, the phone rang. Kenji sat silently for a moment before his butler came and told him that it was for him and rather important. Kenji politely excused himself and went into the other room to answer the phone.

"Hello, this is Seraph." Kenji spoke quietly into the phone.

"Well hello Seraph..why are you speaking as you are?" the man on the other line questioned, and Kenji smiled to himself slightly.

"I have company over, and you know I can't risk speaking normal." the man made an agreeable tone, and continued on.

"I have an assignment for you to do, dear. It's not one of your normal ones either. You've heard of the Gundam pilots no doubt," he inquired, "and know their faces?"

"Yes, of course. In fact, they're the company I was speaking of. Why?"

"You must stick around them. There is the possibility of an attempt on their lives, and their skills could yet be useful to us. Even without an attempt on their lives, there is even the possibility of an attempt to kidnap them," the man chuckled, "though that is almost certainly asking certain death."

"Agreed." Kenji responded quietly, "May I ask why you chose me, sir?"

"You were in the area." he answered, as if Kenji should have known this all along.

"Yes, but I know that there is more to it than that."

"You were always the smartest one of them all. You're right of course, you are the only one with the skills needed. If those pilots are the targets, then someone just as skilled needs to be their protector; especially someone willing to do the things that you are to get the job done." the man sounded rather authoritative as he said so, and stated it as pure fact. He continued with his final greeting, "Do well, sweet, or I will be sorely disappointed that my best female student has failed me."

"Don't worry sensei, I won't fail you." said the feminine voice that came from the mouth of the young man the pilots and just been getting to know. They both hung up, and Kenji walked back into the room her charges were in.
