Good Morning Jesse

"Mommy No!" Screamed a little girl. Her Ice blue eyes had tears pouring over them like a small stream. Her father lay slaughtered against the doorway. Her mother, in a desperate attempt to save her, flung herself into the doorway. Her mother yelled, "Run Jesse! Don't look back!" The little girl picked up her hat, which her father had given her, and fled as fast as she could. Her little feet beat against the ground has the rain poured down on her frail figure. She ran and ran, scenery changing as she did so. Then her vision went black, as she appeared in a tube filled to the brim with a bluish clear liquid. Small mechanical hands slowly were cutting her skin and inserting a small chip into her spine. Wires hung out of open wounds like she was a Christmas tree covered in lights. Even smaller metallic hands placed metal organs where tender flesh should be. Then her eyes opened wide as their once icy blue hues now had Silver weaved into them intricately.

Then appeared an old man. His face was wrinkled and he had a gapping hole where teeth should have been. Further in his mouth was metal knife like lines, which glinted in the light. Her heart leapt as she stared back into his steely gray eyes, which had red pupils instead of black. His hair wasn't there; instead he had a metal plate with the letter "X," engraved into it. His face looked gentle yet at the same time as if it was about ready to rip her limb from limb until she was shredded into nothing.

I awoke with a fright. My heart beat like a jackhammer as it threatened to rip out of my chest. Cold sweat had drenched my forehead as a few small baby hairs stuck to my cheeks and forehead as well. It was that dream again. I didn't know exactly what it meant; it was all so…so…open. That dream had been plaguing me from some time now, since before I could remember. I wiped the sweat off my brow and then onto my boxers. "Lady Ice…We need to see you right away. Come to the Council meeting…its about Zechs. Noin said you need to be there. Hurry up and get your ass down there now!" said a voice over the intercom. I flipped on the camera screen, also turning on the microphone. I said, "I'll be right there. Don't let them start without me. Or else there will be a heavy price to pay, got it?" The Camera turned off and static came over my screen. I turned off the screen and stood up, allowing my blankets to fall to the floor. Normally I would make sure my bed was at least in top shape before leaving but today I had no time.

"I wonder what Zechs has gotten himself into this time," I said quietly to myself. I quickly changed out of my blue boxers and White tank top into a pair of black pants, a black blouse, and a black Oz Jacket. Truth is told I hated the way the jacket fit; otherwise the outfit wasn't so bad. I was the only Ox Commander to be seen in a pure black uniform. That's one of the reasons they call me Lady Ice, the heartless pilot. I then put on a pair of black socks and my Oz issued Black boots, lacing them up quickly. The lacing was perfect, as a child I had been drilled in the ways of keeping my shoes tied to the appropriate measures. I then walked to my door. It slides open when I approached it. The nice thing about my door was, I could easily get out, but to get in you would need my fingerprints and those were hard to come by. This hallway was empty and the silence was enough to drive a normal human insane. But I wasn't a normal human. I found the silence to be peaceful so I made sure this hallway was always left empty except for the few I allowed entrance to. I slowly pulled my Jet-black hair up into a bun as I walked. My hair easily went into a bun and all I needed to secure it was a simple pair of onyx chopsticks, which I located in my Oz Jacket pocket.

When I arrived at the main hallway a few of my students were there hanging out like they usually do when they are not in class. There was Morin, he was a 1st ranking junior officer in charge of Mobile Doll distribute in combat areas. He had the blondest hair I had ever seen and the most observant green eyes. He was able to think faster than most of our higher-ranking officers and I trusted him out in the battlefield to some measure. He approached me cautiously and saluted saying, "Permission to speak Lady Ice?" I saluted back and he dropped his hand immediately after I did. I then said, "Permission granted, speak 1st officer rank Morin." He looked down at me and said, "Is it true that Zechs died fighting the Gundams?" I wanted to smack him for such foolishness but I remembered that we were a military establishment and rumors did get spread.

I said, "Negative Morin, Zechs is alive. I know it and you know it as well. A talented fighter does not go down as easily as would a Gundam pilot. Morin nodded and stepped out of the way, allowing me to pass. I walked backed him and through the oaken doors into the conference room, or as most of the cadets call it "Snorezilla." It was extremely quiet in the room so I took no time to introduce myself. The silence meant that this was serious business and formalities would all be reserved until another time. Noin waved slightly and I walked over to her. She was a kind friend, although a few times I had mentioned a new haircut. Her and Zechs had been my friends since before I could remember. They were about 6 years my senior but it didn't matter to us; we were the only family each of us had. Her hair was up in one of those styles where you take all the gel you can find and stick your hair to one side. Oddly enough, her hair did this without any gel. She had the prettiest eyes I had ever seen. I sat down next to Noin.

Whether I was ready or not the conference started without my permission. Normally I would yell at them and make them show respect, but involving Zechs I was happy enough just getting to the point of the affair. Corporal Tony was the first to speak. He had hair, which was cut in the military buzz. I did not know why he did this, but I suppose he was still hanging onto the old military life. He looked me directly in the eyes as his own depths attempted to stare down and weaken my collective appearance. He said, " Zechs ran into the Gundams again Lady Ice. He almost wrecked the Mobile Suit he was in and could have revealed out hiding place. We cannot risk another conference with the Gundam pilots it's too dangerous. It's a risk I am not willing to take.

I looked up at Tony, my eyes staring him down as their Icy Blue depths normally managed to do, even when I wasn't trying. I calmly said, "Well…I am Corporal and as a higher ranking officer you shall listen to what I have to say. Zechs is more than capable of staying out of the public eye. You won't have to worry about the whole "Oz is the good guy" public view. He is more than capable of taking care of himself and he knows what he is doing, unlike you." Tony stood up knocking his chair out from under him saying, "Lady Ice is wrong. For far to long have we allowed her to judge what to do. She will be the end of all of us Noin. Yet you still side with the little brat. I am twice her age the child is only 19. She knows nothing of what is important. She just fancies Zech lord forbid he get fired." Then he pulled out a small hand pistol aiming it at my head as he said, "She will bring us all down. It will be the end of Oz. I shall end this child's game right now." I stood up carefully and smiled. My smile was cold and emotionless, just the thing to send most opponents running. I quietly said, "If you are brave enough shoot me. If not back down. I do not tolerate threats to my life. If you shoot me and don't kill me I will kill you."

A break of static from the speaker caught our attention. " We need all high level pilots to go to Colony Two Section Five. Be on the look out for Five Mobile suits," the intercom beeped. I glanced around and said, "If you will excuse me I have to go." With that I turned and left the room, allowing the oaken doors to swing shut on my exit. I ran down the hall rather quickly and quietly since most of the cadets had run to their dorms to catch our fight on the Oz TV. I grabbed my helmet from the designated hook and pulled it on, switching my eyepiece to Mobile Suit command. I then ran through the Mobile suit garage until I reached my Mobile suit. Most called it the gravedigger, but its model was the Vaynine, a better version of the Vayate. As the door closed I switched over to ignition as all the light lit up and the keyboard flopped out from a side compartment.

After entering my destination I laid back. The Vaynine took off at a rapid speed. This Mobile suit was designed for mind controlled battle with option of Manual override but the rest was electronic. In a few minutes I was at my destination. "This is lord Sensei. Why are we out here? I can't sense anything on radar," Said, Sensei, a higher-ranking officer than I was. I had only spoken with him on battle missions, never in public or out of our mobile suits. I switched my mouthpiece to on and lowered it to my lips. It only stood about an inch away, but if it was any further I wouldn't be able to speak and maneuver the Vaynine. I said, "This is Lady Ice, can you read?" There was a small silent pause before Sensei said, "Yeah, I got you loud and Clear Ice. Speak to me." "I was told to be on the look out. Five Mobile suits are said to be around here without the Oz tags," I said quietly, brining up radar of the area and glancing it over.

There was a large area of debris where I couldn't see through it with my radar. Sensei buzzed back over the sound system and said, "The Lady Ice? From Oz, no way! Is it true your only nineteen?" I laughed quietly, but then my heat radar blinked indicating a small flare of energy, most likely from an engine or low energy weapon. I was just behind the debris my radar couldn't see through. I was happy that I could now see the sneaky pilots, now I could surprise them. I said, "I can't pick anything up on radar, you guys go ahead back incase we need back up and I'll scout ahead." I eased forward on the movement analog stick before switching it to mind control. Now all I had to do was basically think about the machine moving and it would happen. The Vaynine continued to move according to my thoughts and I came slowly around the debris.

There I was five Gundams, strangely they looked a lot like a gigantic statue I had of ancient Mobile suits. I called it Nanako and had to recently hide it in the sea. I was just barely within their sight when I heard a slightly oriental voice say, "This is Gundam pilot Wufei Chang speaking. Turn back now, Oz is not welcomed here." Who did this boy think he was yelling at? My temper began to rise slightly, but I remembered my training and kept cool, he was probably trying to get me to act stupid. I tapped into their signals and communication links and said, "This is Mobile suit Pilot 666, Lady Ice of Oz. You have strayed into private territory and you are on terms to begin a battle. I suggest you five pick up your suits and leave. Besides, I just wanted to join your little Tea party." The last phrase seemed to anger them because Wufei got back over to me and said, "This isn't a place for women, you are weak. Run while you can and we shall act like we never saw you." I laughed and another small heat signal appeared behind me. Just as I thought, they had sent one of them to tail end me. I twisted my chair to the side keyboard as my eyes lit up, initiating the mind control battle mode. The shield installed in the Vaynine automatically came up, not sensed by their energy signals.

I readied my heat seeking missiles and opened fire. Aiming them both at each other I created a heat radar smoke screen. I flew behind the Gundam behind my and sent the Vaynine foot into its back. "Hey, where's she go?" a voice asked over the communication links. I was to busy trying to keep Vaynine in order to notice a winged Gundam behind me. It was beating against the shield and almost had it completely down. Before I could react a loud beeping came over the cockpit, shields were down, now the Vaynine was venerable. The winged Gundam had the Vaynine in a death grip and was literally tearing it to pieces. The Falcon rifle was ripped clear off of the Vaynine's right hand, jerking mine forward as it did so. I had no choice but to flip forward, the right leg being ripped off as well. I flipped making the Gundam holding me fly forward and ran. I didn't see any use fighting a battle where I was outnumbered and had already lost my disadvantages. I patched into the main headquarters workshop, to my head mechanic.

I said, "This is Lady Ice, pilot 666, I ran into the Gundams while in patrol, they have almost destroyed the Vaynine. I need immediate rebuilding as fast as possible. This has to be back up and ready. My main mechanic, who everyone called wrench, said, "Roger that Ice Queen, Over and out." I made it back to Oz in one piece, but I couldn't say the same for my Mobile suit. The arm was barely hanging on and I couldn't believe I lost the Falcon rifle. I jumped out of the cockpit, flipping down to the ground as the stairs to get down on finally made it up to my cockpit. As I hit the metal walkway my boots made a quiet clang. I noticed that Noin was standing a few feet from me and her arms were crossed. She didn't look too happy as she said, "What you did was foolish! Lady Ice, I would like to speak to you in private." She was a lower rank, but only by one and to me she was like an older sister. So instead of punishing her for her words, I simply nodded. "Okay Noin, Right away," I replied. We walked down the hallway into the commons. As we walked Noin spoke, "that was suicide Jesse, I can't believe you would send back five trained pilots for back up."

"I could have done it if Nanako was running," I said in a matter of fact tone. Noin looked at me and said, "We can't let you pilot Nanako. It is to great of a risk, Nanako is a Gundam Jess. The other pilots wouldn't stand a chance against it. That's why Nanako is hidden underwater to keep the other pilots safe. You belong to Oz, but we cannot awaken Nanako. When it awakens your time will come. Until then be good and keep yourself alive." Lt. Noin went to her room and closed the door. I decided to have a little fun and ran down to my room and pressed my hand against the door handle. The small light ran across my hand and then my door opened as I stepped into the doorway and pulled off my jacket, slipping off my boots at the same time. I pulled on a black short sleeve shirt over my black long-sleeved shirt. I then slipped out of my Oz pants and into a pair of skintight jeans. They hung loose near the end, almost like bell-bottoms.

I had made a jacket out of old jackets that was fluffy and hid my chest. Next I pulled on a pair of extremely baggy jeans that I needed a belt just to cover my ass. I tucked my bun inside of my old cap, allowing a few loose strands to fall over my face. This cap had been mine since before I was dropped off with Noin and Zechs. I remember the way the hat used to sink over my eyes, but that's it. I pulled back on my boots and walked towards the door. Then I stepped out of my doorway and heard it click shut and lock before I walked into the hall. I left my boots on because they were the most masculine shoes I was permitted to wear on the Oz base, being as it was since I was female. I walked into the commons and out the front door.

This may be a colony, but this one was small enough to fit only the Oz base and a small town. I walked into the small town and went to the gym. Inside it smelled of sweat and men. I just want say it was an unpleasant stench. I wanted to barf as the aroma entered my nostrils and threatened to send me over the edge and pass out. I walked over to a bunch of weights and began to work out. Suddenly I heard a slightly playful yet masculine voice say, "Hey buddy, you're in my spot. There is where I work out everyday." He didn't sound to dangerous, in fact, he sounded kind of friendly. I set down the dumbbell and looked at the man. He wasn't too much older than I was. I would still consider him a boy if he were among my students. His hair was a medium color and was pulled back into a braid. He was wearing all black even now in when he was about to work out. He looked slightly like a priest even now. "I'll move then," I said getting up.

He sat down and began to lift as I walked toward the door. I walked through the main street to the local bar. "Well hey there handsome, you looking for a date?" said a local girl. I said, "I'm looking for information on local," but my pager going off interrupted me. I stepped back out of the doorway and ran back to the campus. I walked inside and took off my hat. My jet-black hair tumbled back to its straight, waist length look that I allow it to rest at when I am not fighting. I walked into the commanding officer, Treize's office. I asked, "I'm here sir. What did you want from me?" Trieze folded his hands resting them on his desk as if he was about to lecture me. All I needed was one more person telling I went on a suicide mission today. That was enough to drive even myself into a fury.

He said calmly and quietly, "Ah, Lady Ice, just the person for this job. I need you to go to Earth and attend Releana Peacecraft's ball. I want to you get information on the Gundam pilot Heero Yuy. Terminate him if possible. Oh and Ice, wear something nice." I saluted him and walked through the hall, past the commons, to my room. I placed my hand on the door and it opened allow access. I stepped into my room and slammed my fist into the table. Dialing up Noin on the PC communicator it too her awhile to pick up. She looked at me and seemed worried as she said, "Something wrong Jesse?" I wanted to scream up instead I said, "Well, I was wondering if you had anything to wear to a ball. I have just been assigned to take down Heero Yuy and I do not own a dress." Noin shook her head and waved, turning off the PC communicator. I opened my closet hoping to find something to salvage into a dress.

With luck I found a black, fluffy dress. There were about six layers of silk underneath for a petticoat. I took out my sewing stuff and began to fix the dress. I had learned to sew as a child so I could remodel a whole outfit in slim to no time. In less than an hour I had turned a hideous dress into a masterpiece. I slipped it over my head and took off my other clothes as I did so. The silky under layer felt like water over my skin. It was slim fitting and low cut in the front. The silky long sleeves billowed down to my wrists and seemed to hide my hands. The blackness of the dress brought out the color of my eyes, making my Ice blue depths seem like an endless pool of ice. I put an ice blue rose in my hair, just behind my ear and made sure everything was in order. Then I walked down the hallway my boots silently making small clicking noises under my dress. Hey, Treize could only ask for so much from a Cadet.

I got into the Silver Moon shuttle and was off to Earth. I watched the stars pass by in a high-speed blur as I waited the arrival time. We arrived on the Peacecraft airport launch pad just minutes after the party started.

Everyone was already inside and I knew that as soon as I opened the door they would all look. I took the time to make sure my hair was in order and I gently put on a thin layer of pale red lip-gloss. Now my outfit was completely, including the small knife I had hidden on the inside of my thigh. I walked up to the two grand doors as men dressed in Peacecraft uniforms opened the door and allowed me to enter. I stepped into the room very slowly, not knowing what would await me. Right away I met a pair of stunning Persian blue eyes.

**Trowa Barton**

I saw then stunning woman looking at Heero and immediately thought she looked familiar. It wasn't the way she seemed to float down the stairs like a wraith pursuing a man who sold his soul. If wasn't her deathly pale skin and black dress, which made her look like she could possibly be the Shinigami herself. Then it struck me; she had the same blue eyes as Trieze. Maybe she would know where he was. I walked towards her only to have Quatre pull me back. His blonde hair was brushed rather nicely today and he was wearing a light pink shirt with a black tux. I really didn't understand Quatre's fashion sense, but after all, he was the heir to the Winner fortune. "She isn't to be messed with Trowa, leave her be. She is a guest at Releana's party…leave it at that." Quatre said quietly. I moved my shoulder from his grasp and continued to walk when I saw Heero next to her, trying his best to strike up a conversation.

**Heero Yuy**

The Ice-cold beauty was almost enough to send every man in this room running towards her if another woman wasn't latching onto his arm. So I decided there was something about her that I wanted to know. She did the usual, arrive off time, that I would find myself doing if I were to kill someone and right know my job was to protect Releana. I said, "Excuse me madam, I don't believe we have been introduced. I am Heero Yuy and you are?" "Jezebel," she said quietly. Her voice was empty, almost as mine was. She must have led a hard life because only grueling work and hard training could empty someone's soul like that. "Would you like to dance?" I asked quietly. She nodded her head slowly and I took her hand. It was slightly colder than mine and shot a chill through my spine. What could cause a woman to be so icy?

She stood a few inches shorter than me and her Blue eyes constantly stared up at me. I looked down at her, resting my left hand on her waist and my right hand on her shoulder. Her hair had a way of framing her face and it really made her look beautiful. I loved the way the rose brought out the color of her hair. Her body was so much slimmer than Releana and she didn't complain and scream my name all the time. I had to admit she was very pretty.

**Jesse Trinton**

He was a good dancer; I would credit him with that. His feet moved gracefully as we danced, as if he drilled dancing into his mind almost a million times before allowing himself to touch a lady's hand. His hand was warm against my back and sent chills down my spine now and then. When the song finished he bowed gentlemen like and walked away slowly. I was sad that the song had ended, but I forced myself into composure. I was Lady Ice! What was I doing feeling clammy around a guy? I needed to get a hold of myself.

**Trowa Barton**

This was my chance it was now or never. They girl and Heero had stopped dancing and I was able to keep the balcony empty, it would be the perfect place to question her. I walked over to the woman and said, "Would you be so kind as to dance with me?" She looked for someone, scanning the crowd with those familiar Ice Blue eyes before nodding quietly. I placed my hand on her shoulder very carefully as I pointed a gun to her side, making sure that the gun couldn't be seen by anyone else. Heero and Duo would have my head if I pulled out a gun at Releana's party. I would be deliberately exposing who we were at a common place with innocent people. I quietly said, "To the balcony, make it look normal or I'll shoot" as I pushed her in that direction.

**Jesse Trinton**

Slowly I walked out acting as if I felt faint and this young man was helping me. I said quietly, "Could you watch were you point that. If there isn't anything I hate more than men it's a man who thinks he can shoot me. You are pathetic, just go back into the party and I'll act as if I didn't notice you with that small pistol." The barrel of the gun dug deeper into my skin as he pushed me onto the balcony ground. Dirty water from the floor soaked into my dress, causing it to stain a deep brown in spots. That was the last straw, first chance I get, I'm killing this boy. It took me a lot of work to turn Cinderella into a princess and he just ruined it. "Alright Mrs. Kush., Tell me where Zechs and Treize are, then I'll let you go," he said. I wanted to burst out laughing. Me, married to Treize, now that was a tall tell way out in cyberspace.

I said quietly, "I am no relation to Treize. He is the leader of Oz, that is all I know." The man grew angry, kicking me further into the puddle as my dress clung to my body in spots. He then pointed the gun to my head. I knew this feeling all to well, the need to survive suddenly coursed through my veins. Suddenly the door opened and the man turned to see who it was. Hey, a girl only needs one warning and this guy was getting to friendly with that pistol. I grabbed onto the ledge, flipping over it quietly and grabbing a few vines of creeping roses that were hanging on the balcony. I was glad I wore my boots, for if I tried this in high heels I would have given myself away.

**Trowa Barton**

I glanced over at the door as I heard it creak open to see who it was entering the balcony. A small black cat slowly and lazily walked onto the balcony. The Ice blue depths of its eyes glanced up at me and I said, "Stupid cat." I turned around and the girl was gone. I didn't understand how she could have done it. But it appeared that she had disappeared into thin air. I said, "Damn, lost another one."

**Jesse Trinton**

After I heard him walk inside I climbed down the vines. The cool leafy exterior wasn't to bad, but the thorns ripped at my dress and dug deeply into my hands, causing blood to stain my palm and leave handprints on the vines. When I landed against the bottom I noticed that Lt. Noin and Zechs were waiting at the bottom for me. Zechs looked at me with his stunning blue eyes and his platinum blonde hair seemed to move with the wind. He had removed his visor as he did many times when we all hung out. Zech was an amazing pilot and a dear friend to me, he was one of the only people I would go out on a limb to protect.

Zechs said, "That was amazing Jesse bells! How did you manage to trick him like that? I wouldn't have been able to do something like that. It was pure genius." However, I don't believe Noin was as happy with what I had done as Zechs was. She stood next to him with her arms crossed tapping her foot against the ground as if she was just waiting to scold me until I begged for submission. I knew what I did was risky, but it was better than getting myself shot.

**Noin**

I wasn't happy with what Jesse had done. It was foolish and she could have gotten herself killed. Or worse, she could have been found out for being from Oz that would have put all of us in trouble, what would she have done then? I said, "Jess, why did you even dance with him! You could have gotten yourself killed" Jesse looked like a scolded child. She was staring at the ground and had her feet pigeon-toed, wringing her hands front of her. I softened up slightly, like I always do around Jesse. She was still a child; I had to remember myself back then. I would have done the same thing if necessary. I said, "I worry about you Jess. I expect you two to be back in HQ in an hour, got it, no more no less. When you get back, I expect both of you to be in terms with your crazy piloting and risk taking. Oz values your piloting skills." Then I slowly walked back to the plane, to go back to the Oz base.

**Zech M**

I smiled softly, leaning towards Jesse slightly whispering, "Well Jess, or should I say Ice, Shall we go for Ice cream? Or will you turn soft and whimper away like a dog with your tail between your legs?" Jesse perked up at the offer, but then her pager went off. I was always wondering why Treize only gave her a pager and I found it odd that they were constantly paging her throughout the whole day. This small girl had single handedly took down most of the other enemies of Oz. The only one that I wouldn't allow Treize to put her in was the fight against Gundams. For as what happened earlier was a prime example why. She sighed quietly and said, "Maybe later Zechs, maybe later." Then she slowly walked over to me
