Gundam Wing Fan Fiction ❯ The Next Generation: For You I Will ❯ claddogh symbol ( Chapter 2 )
The Next Generation: For You I Will.
Rating: Will be NC-17 in the future
Warnings: Lemon, slightly angsty but not bad. More like sugar coated angst. m/m relationship ahoy.
A/N: Well, here it is you all, chapter three in the POV of Hannan. It's hard to do it from his, because he is very innocent, so I apologize now if he seems to have matured quite a bit in this chapter. I relate more to Haruka, (except im straight ^_^;;) attitude wise and such, so it made it easier for me. This is a challenge, straight from the review of Aria. Oh, and another thing before I forget. (I'm adding this as I write) this chapter is going more in depth on the character then I had previously. I'll do the same when I switch back to Haruka. I feel it will give a better incentive on the characters and how they were raised by our favorite gundam pilots.
Aria, I thank you for the reviews, I appreciate them greatly, and I will keep in mind your offer to help, since one of my muses and I have grown apart and the other cant seem to come up with idea's for this story. (Yeah, you jess. ^_^) So, this is for you.
Oh, and more sap probably.
Chapter 3:
"'Ruka…" I whispered, running my fingers from his cheek down to the underside of his chin, lifting his head so he was looking at my face.
I noticed then that we were only centimeters apart and were pretty much breathing the same air. I closed the gap between us and laid my lips over his. Oh, were they soft. I kept my eyes open, to convince myself this was actually happening and stared into Haruka's brilliant violet eyes.
I felt Haruka tense a bit in surprise, I hope, but relax. The kiss was soft and gentle, and just how I imagined it.
I pulled away with a soft sigh. I didn't want to leave that haven, but I knew I'd have to answer questions. That's one of the many things I loved about Haruka. His ability to question every situation and not feel bad about it. It helped him to asses the problems or good things, to keep them in perspective, which definitely worked on the field when were playing football.
"Hannan, what…why?" Haruka gasped out, staring at me, then down to my tail.
Ah, yes, my tail. I really didn't have control over it. It just moved with my emotions, much like a dog or a cats. At the moment it had wrapped itself around Haruka's leg, proving to him how I felt, or at least I hoped it did.
I wrapped my arms around his waist tightly, not wanting to let go, "Haruka, we've known each other our whole lives. I've known everything about you and you the same about me. Sometime during all of this, I've fallen in love for you." I kissed his forehead and removed an arm to place my finger over his lips as they opened to speak, "No, Chastity told me nothing, though I've pried. I kind of gathered that you liked me as more then friends, but I wasn't sure how deep that went. I was just willing to finally make the move. I was sick of waiting."
Haruka buried his head in the juncture of my neck and shoulder, muttering something, though it was muffled and lost in my skin. I buried my face in his beautiful hair, "What was that?"
He turned his head so that my lips were resting against his cheek, "I said, I feel the same. Have for awhile now." He sounded so unsure.
"We have to talk some more. Want to leave?" I asked, running my hands up and down his back, trying to sooth him some. This was a shocker. For me as well, when I realized how I felt.
I was always straight. Still am, but Haruka wormed his way into my heart and refused to leave, not that I would make him. I always knew it hurt him when I had females hanging off of me. And I always tried not to do anything when he was around, but it wasn't easy. They were hanging off him too, even though it disgusted him in a way. We were big football stars at our university, so I'm guessing it was a natural thing. Maybe it would change if we were to get together.
Haruka nodded, but wrapped his arms around my neck tightly, "Yeah, but one more song, hm? It's another slow one." He rested his forehead on my shoulder as I nodded. I laid my chin on top his head and closed my eyes with a sigh.
We were so wrapped up in each other, that we didn't notice someone watching us from the bar. Well, not right away. I had opened my eyes and at the time I was facing the bar. I looked straight into the eyes of Gavin. He sneered and stood up, walking out of the club.
"Haruka?" I nudged him lightly.
"Hm?" he lifted his head and looked at me, probably wondering what I was thinking.
"How old is Gavin? The guy from that clothing store?"
Haruka shrugged, "I'm not really sure. I just know that he's at the university."
He looked at me, and then followed my gaze towards the door, "Why?"
"He was staring at us." At Haruka's confused glance I nodded my chin towards the bar, "He was sitting at the bar staring at us and smirking or something."
"I dunno. He's a nice guy, really, just tries to hard at being persuasive. Maybe he was trying to intimidate you or something."
I shrugged a shoulder and dropped my arms, grabbing one of Haruka's hands to compensate my loss, "Well, let's go. We really need to talk."
We walked out of the club, laughing and joking as we went. We got a block away from the club when someone grabbed me from behind, pressing something sharp against my windpipe.
"Well, lads, looks like we meet again."
My eyes flew to Haruka, who had pressed himself up against the wall, staring at my attacker, "Gavin." He whispered, hands clenching into fists.
Gavin saw that and shivered. That, in turn, caused his hand to shake, sending the sharp object sliding across my skin. I cried out and my knees buckled from pain caused by the object to sliding up towards my ear.
"Hannan!" Haruka yelled, running towards Gavin and me.
"No…Haruka…" I gasped out, just before I lost conciseness.
~*~
I opened my eyes then slammed them shut at the intense brightness of the room I was in. I groaned, or at least I thought I had. There was no sound. That was a really frightening thing.
"Hannan." Someone whispered next to my ear, "Come on son, open your eyes. I know you're awake."
I opened my mouth to say, `Too bright.' But nothing came out, and hot damn! Did it hurt! I blinked my eyes open and looked at my dad. He smiled at me, his green eye, the one not hidden, twinkling in the neon lights.
I looked around and saw daddy, uncle Duo, uncle Heero and Haruka. I was kind of confused. I hurt like hell, my arm and leg itched and my head and throat hurt. Was any one going to tell me what the bloody fuck happened?
Some of my agitation must have showed on my face, cause everyone turned to Haruka. I looked at him too, and smiled slightly as my best friend and hopeful future boyfriend took my hand, weaving his fingers with mine, "Hannan, do you remember anything at all?"
I shrugged, not really able to answer.
"Well, you've been out for a week, having passed out from blood loss. You lost even more blood because Gavin, who ended up slitting your neck, thankfully not deep, broke your arm. He slammed you into the wall as I jumped at him."
My eyes widened and I began to look Haruka over best I could, looking for any visible damage on him.
He smiled slightly, "I'm fine Han. Just a slice up my arm."
I scowled. That was quite the cut. It started near his elbow, and because he was wearing a tank top I saw that it went all the way up his arm and across his collarbone.
"Ah, young Mr. Winner-Barton. Nice to see you are finally awake." An elderly man, maybe in his mid-fifties, walked in and held out his hand, the opposite of my good one, making it possible for me to shake his hand, "I'm Dr. Salvator."
I nodded at him.
"Now." He looked around the room at my parents and uncles, "Has anyone filled him in on the situation?"
"I just told him what happened." Haruka said, squeezing my hand.
Dr. Salvator nodded, "Alright. Well, Hannan, you're vocal cords were slit, thankfully not deep and were able to fix them. The downside, however, is that you aren't going to be able to talk for awhile." He looked down at his chart as I turned to Haruka, eyes welling up with tears. I couldn't wait that long to talk to him.
Haruka smiled again, "Don't worry, Han. We'll figure out something. We're going to talk about this, whether you get writers cramp or carpal tunnel, we *will* discuss it."
"You're arm was only fractured and you're going to have a bump on the head and a few sore ribs, but other then that your fine." He set down the chart and walked to the side of the bed my dad was sitting at. He reached out and gently began to remove the bandages from around my neck, nodding as it came into view, "Yes, it's healing nicely. You will be able to go home tonight, but take it easy on the neck. We don't want the cut to re-open. Change the gauze three times a day and put on a medicated cream on it before you go to bed. We will also be giving you a prescription for water-proof bandages and wraps for your cast, so you can shower normal, without to much help." He then took some clean gauze and re-wrapped my neck up.
He shook my hand again and took his leave to write up the release forms and prescriptions.
"We got you something Hannan." Daddy said, pushing his blond hair out of his eyes. I have yet to figure out why he wouldn't trim them.
I raised an eyebrow and sat up carefully, feeling the pain in my ribs now that the doctor brought it up. Daddy handed over a long flat box wrapped in `get well soon' wrapping paper. I smiled and carefully unwrapped the gift. My jaw dropped. A lap top. The one I've been dreaming about since seeing it on display at the university as the top of the line. I looked up at dad and daddy with a smile, `Thank you.' I mouthed, knowing full well it was the best I could do.
"I installed a program in there for you. All you do is type what you want to say, and it'll say it for you." Daddy said, grinning as dad wrapped an arm around him in a proud fashion.
Really. This I had to see. I took the laptop out of the box and started it up, knowing that daddy had powered up the battery so I could use it right away.
I opened the program daddy was talking about and typed, `Was this what you meant by getting carpal tunnel, `Ruka?'
He laughed, "Yep. That's what I meant! You like it?"
I nodded then typed, `Yeah, I do. Thanks dad, daddy.'
They nodded and both stood up, uncle Heero and uncle Duo following suit. "We're going to go get some coffee. Give you two some time alone."
"Want anything `Ruka?" Uncle Duo asked, stopping by the door.
"Um, hot chocolate?" He asked, sounding like a five year old asking for candy.
Uncle Duo laughed, "Sure thing." And walked out.
Haruka looked at me and blushed slightly, "I got you a get well present also, Han."
`You did? Aw, `Ruka…' I typed. Then laughed as the computer voice did the trail off perfectly.
He handed over a smaller box, maybe 2 square inches in size. It looked like a jewelry box. Well, it was. Expensive jewelers too. I could tell by the monologue on the cover. I clicked open the box and gasped in surprise. It was a male design I.D. bracelet, with large chain links. It was made in silver with gold designs on each edge of the plaque.
"Claddogh symbol. Represents friendship, love and loyalty." Haruka mumbled, looking down at the hole in the knee of his jeans.
I grinned as I read the words inscribed on the plaque, `Hannan, my one and only true love.'
`Aw, Haruka. I love it and you! Will you put it on me?' I typed, holding the bracelet out to him.
He nodded and took the bracelet from my hand and clasped it around my left wrist, the one not broken, and also very symbolic. Left side was closest to the heart. He sat back and smiled shyly as I gazed at the gazed at the bracelet. I looked at him and saw the love in his eyes. I reached out and curled my fingers around his neck, gently tugging his head towards me. I laid my lips over his, thanking him for the lovely, meaningful gift.
I pulled away, earning a small groan from Haruka, `We need to talk first. If I'm not tired, we'll go to that coffee shop over on Douglas that you like. Get a booth in the back.' I typed.
Haruka nodded, "Sounds good." He said with a small gulp.
`Good.'
