Sapphire eyes, darkened with a mixture of emotions that of lust, amusement, and something very close to a binding love, gazed upon his pretty little prey trembling before him and clutching at the bed sheets over him in the guise of a shield. How well the dark silk sheets that matched the color of the taller man's eyes contrasted against the boy's bare caramel skin and had been bought for that purpose only.

" Ssh, baby, ssh… " Treize's lips murmured again a delicate ear and placed a soft kiss to it. He caressed a cheek softly with his right hand. The raven-haired boy sighed, easing into the large, warm hand, feeling braver from the loving touch and Treize's words. Yes, this was all about exploring, finding, and loving. Nothing of dominance as he had feared before when he first met this man. Treize was all about pleasing and loving and being equals.

The older man smiled when he felt Wufei relax in his touch. He knew just how to approach his dragon on such intimate terms. Yes, he loved to tease the boy, flaring up all his emotions that Wufei hid behind a cool exterior, but here in the privacy of their room, this was all about trust. Treize sat up and eased one of Wufei's hand from clutching at the sheet, curling his fingers between his smaller love's and brought up the nimble hand to kiss as he reached behind him and produced a single red rose. Wufei's dark eyes focused upon the perfect bud with a little puzzlement and wonder. Treize had searched through his entire rose garden for the right shape and shade of red for tonight.

" Close your eyes, Wufei, and trust me, " Treize purred. He pressed a kiss to the soft petals, making sure his lover had watched the act and placed the rose at Wufei's nose. The Chinese boy inhaled the pleasing sent of the flower, so much like his lover's scent without the masculine musk that was Treize. Treize slowly drew the soft petals across closed eyes, a smooth forehead, moving to trace each ear he loved to whisper to, over passion flushed cheeks. Wufei was moaning into the caressing touch of not only the soft petals that maddened his senses, but also his lover's lips that accompanied them and kissed at the rose as it came across his lips, leaving a warm tingling sensation. His breathing grew heavy as Treize ghosted the petals over the arch of his neck and Wufei arched into the touch. He looked up, almost annoyed when Treize pulled away before even reaching his collarbones.

Treize chuckled at the look in his dragon's eyes and still holding Wufei's hand in his own, pulled the boy into a sitting position. The dark silk sheet that had previously protected Wufei fell away from his front, caressing his heated flesh along the way. Wufei gave a small sound at the delicious sensation and wondered in the back of his mind if Treize had picked out the material for that sole purpose? The mattress shifted as Treize moved to sit behind the raven-haired boy and Wufei felt his heart pick up a notch at the man's sudden closeness. Treize's body heat and scent rolled off the man, blanketing the boy now leaning against his broad, hard chest. Wufei inhaled deeply, felt the older man's desire for him and him alone press against the small of his back, and pressed harder against Treize, feeling his passion rise to another height. What better aphrodisiac could there be?

Treize all, but purred, watching his boy give himself to his passion, that fire he always knew burning just below the surface. Yes, here was the true Wufei. He gave a sudden start when Wufei raised their joined hands and popped a single finger into his hot little mouth. Treize groaned as his dragon lapped at the index and bit the pad. His hips moved, brushing his burning length against the cleft of the boy before him and smiled at the moan he felt around his digit.

" What you do to me, " Treize murmured in Wufei's ear. It was his turn to gasp as Wufei turned his head to peer up at Treize with a small smile around his finger still in that wicked little mouth. The smile and gleam in his dark eyes were down right naughty, but the way his free hair framed his face, a few stands caught against his cheeks with sweat, gave Wufei a vulnerable look. Oh, his China doll could be so innocent and sexy at the same time.

" Hmmmmm… " Wufei slowly drew out Treize's finger and darted out his pink tongue to give the pad one last lick. Treize growled, his self-control broken at that last bit. He had intended more use of the rose, to drive Wufei into a frenzy before laying an unbreakable claim to his dragon, but those thoughts left him as he pulled the boy into a hungry kiss and let the rose fall to the floor. Wufei raised his free hand to curl into his lover's ginger hair. Treize devoured those pristine full lips, trailing the finger pads of his free hand down Wufei's front. Wufei's head fell back against Treize's broad shoulder as the man cupped his need through the silk sheets and began to pump him slowly. Wufei panicked to find something for his hand to grasp in this new storm of sensations and choose Treize's arm. The man paused briefly to toss away the sheet and grasped Wufei in his hand. Treize licked his lips, watching with hungry eyes as Wufei thrusted into his touch, his mouth open as wordless and broken phrases, some in Chinese, left the boy. Precum helped Treize stroke his lover more fluidly. The Chinese boy writhed against his lover stroking the man in return, Treize's juices drooling more freely and he grounded his hips against the boy.

" Treize! Ngh! I-I! Can't! God, Treize! "

" Oh, dragon! "

Treize wanted to stop before Wufei came. He really did. But it was too good. Wufei arching against him, calling for him, stroking him without meaning, and pinning him against the headboard. Although Treize outweighed the boy, he was trapped up in the moment and by his own lust. And that firm rear was stroking him oh, so nicely. Then he felt Wufei lock.

" Treize! "

And he was done for. It was too much and he followed Wufei.

Treize woke up with a start, his breath coming in hurried pants that was the only sound to be heard in his empty bedroom, say the fan directed to the right of him as the weather was still warm in the late summer. Classes had started again, signifying that it was coming to the end of summer even though Mother Nature was trying to squeeze in a few more warm spells before the hints of the approaching autumn season would come.

The man ran a hand through his bed tousled ginger locks, his skin rapidly cooling with a faint gleam of sweat over his tanned flesh and goosebumps rose as the fan in the corner blew a breath of cool relief across him. The sapphire eyed young man glanced, almost hopeful, to his side and gave a regrettable little groan when the object of his last erotic dream wasn't by his side, sleeping peacefully after an evening of passion.

' But then, this is, what? The sixth time I've been subjected to one of these dreams? ' Treize thought, falling back against his sheets. The man glanced over at his alarm clock. The glaring green numbers read that it was a little after seven. ' Wonderful. At least I didn't wake up too early in the morning. '

Treize grimed, his spent passion cooling on his sheets grabbed his attention and the man tossed back the covers. He stripped his bed, dumped the sheets down the laundry shaft to be taken care of later, and stepped into his bathroom to take a quick shower. At least it was Saturday. The first Saturday of the school year and already the kids in the home were taking full advantage of it. Or so Treize mused. Ah, he remembered those days of a youth's addict to sleeping in. This was also the same Saturday he had off and pondered to himself of how to spend it?

' Perhaps with a little reading? It's been a while since I've been able to get to my library, ' Treize thought, stepping out of his shower and dried off.

* - * - *

It was too early for breakfast, as the kitchen staff got around to preparing it at eight-thirty and only a few of the early morning staff were up yet, but Treize relished in a bizarre sort of delight of making his own coffee again. He hadn't always been a successful businessman. It was twenty after eight when the head cook came in and she smiled at her boss, who handed her a cup of already made coffee. What a nice way to start her day!

Treize left the kitchen and headed towards his library. A light coming from under the door made his pause briefly as to whom else was up at this hour of their own free will? Peering inside Treize spotted a figure with raven hair bent over a thick book, reading it at his desk. He smiled, recognizing Wufei even from behind and walked up to him, wondering when the boy would notice him or need he announce his presence?

Wufei obviously didn't hear him. Treize almost pouted at that because the dragon always seemed to sense if he was near by. The gingered hair man like to think it was because of the unspoken attraction the Chinese boy held for him, but Treize knew it was probably more likely out of being wary. He wondered what the boy was reading to have him so entranced? Peering over his shoulder, the ginger haired man saw it was a book of Chinese legends.

" Reading anything good, dragon? " He said softly in the boy's ear.

Wufei didn't even jump the slightest at Treize's sudden words. He had heard the older man enter. His nose wrinkled at the unpleasant scent of coffee aftertaste on Treize's breath as it waft across his face. Treize seemed to understand and pulled back.

" Sorry, but you haven't answered my question, Wufei, " he said.

Wufei looked up at him, " Yes. " The answer was short and too the point, but his tone was less unfriendly as if had been when the Chinese boy had been first given a home here. Duo and Sally, his closest friends, had smoothed some of his rough edges. He smiled more then he used to around his small circle of friends, his self a little more open to those around him and he was relaxing in his surroundings, coming to see the Khushrenada estate as his home. But Treize noticed Wufei always seemed to revert back to a more stoic attitude around him. Would his dragon ever trust him?

Wufei looked up when he heard what sounded like a hurtful sigh from the taller man. Treize wasn't hurt because he was ignoring him? Was he? Wufei's heart flip-flopped, staring into those sapphire eyes that usually held such amusement, but also such nobility within them that made Wufei respect the man, even if he would never admit it.

" Are you brushing up on any particular subjects of your homage? " Treize would have more then one word from the boy he had a deep fondness and stirring desires for as he turned his gaze back upon the boy and missed the different look in Wufei's eyes.

" On anything I can find. This library has so many books on just about everything, " Wufei said, with a pleasing smile gracing his features, pleased with this notion of being able to pick up where his mother could no longer teach him on his own.

" I'll be more then happy to purchase any further books on China if you wish when you're done with the few here, " Treize offered, anything to keep Wufei like this. He was rewarded with a genuine smile from his dragon and a soft thank you before the boy returned to his reading. Having started a kind of friendly conversation with the boy who usually clamed up around him, Treize wondered how far he could push it or just leave Wufei to his reading?

But the smile had encouraged him.

" Dragon. "

Wufei looked up again from his reading to see Treize returning from a bookshelf with a small, thin book in his hand. He held the thin novel towards Wufei. " Would you read this collection of poems out loud? "

" Why? "

" I've read them before, but I have a feeling they lost a key element in the rough translation, " Treize explained and handed the book to the boy. The collection of English translated Chinese poems had come from a donation from a local library for the kids. Spotting the book with its retro like cover, having been printed twenty years ago, Treize had tucked it aside for himself. Wufei recognized the poet's name, the famed man being his favorite, one he had stumbled across in a local library where he had spent quiet a deal of his time and his eyes light up with delight of reading his work again. It had been a year since he had read any of the man's work and now fate had smiled upon him. The book in hand was a collection of his poet's early works.

" Have you read this book before? " Treize asked, noting the shine in those dark eyes.

" No, but I've read some of his later work. He's marvelous, " Wufei said, forgetting this was Treize he was talking to, revealing something of himself.

The ginger haired man smiled, " Then why don't you keep it? "

" Oh-thank you, " Wufei breathed, clutching the worn book to his chest like the greatest of all treasures. Treize smiled, finding this open and gentler side to Wufei just as alluring. Perhaps he had one foot in the doorway after all after this, or maybe he had always before? Wufei could have refused the gift all together.

Treize sat on the couch and patted a seat besides him. Wufei sat, but a respectable foot away from him and opened his new book to the chapter that held the poems in Chinese. This novel offered a choice for which he was truly grateful and began to read out loud, almost forgetting Treize's request to read him the book. Treize smiled at his now gentle little dragon and eased himself in the couch behind him. He closed his eyes and listened to Wufei. He had been right. Hearing the poems in their original form was so much better and Treize couldn't have picked a better reader. Wufei read each poem with emotion that seemed to be demanded by their creator. Time passed and Treize opened an eye when he felt Wufei shift in his seat, bringing a led and tucked it under him as he carried on.

He only opened his eyes again when Wufei read the last poem with a little regret, and leaned into the warmth besides him while closing the book with a happy little sigh none the less and sounding very much like a cat who had gotten its fill of cream. Cream… Breakfast! Treize moved to glance at his watch, the arm it occupied resting on the back of the couch where Wufei was sitting and paused. Somehow the two of them had moved closer. Treize's arm moved back to rest around the shoulders of the Chinese boy now laying his head on his shoulder and rested his check on Wufei's soft, raven hair to savor this moment before Wufei would realize. The boy smelled of vanilla and something else Treize couldn't put his finger on just yet.

Wufei was enjoying the comforting warm around him and the faint scent of roses, his dark eyes slightly closed as he continued to sit there. But there weren't any roses in the library, a voice told him and suddenly Wufei was aware that the warmth and fragrance of roses was Treize! Said man felt the boy's muscle stiffen under his hand and Treize moved his head just as Wufei glanced up at him, a blush rising on golden cheeks and the boy seemed to freeze. Treize's playful nature was tempted to rub under the boy's chin before his sensible side kicked in and prepared him for the storm.

Only there was no explosions, no shouting or curses in Chinese, no accusing. Treize grew worried as he felt the boy tremble slightly, his knuckles turning white as he clutched his book. He wondered if he should let Wufei go or hold him till he stopped trembling, to give the boy support? His dragon's eyes were wide, but from fear or suppression of rage? ' I wish I knew what you were thinking, Wufei. '

If Treize did know what Wufei was thinking, he would probably have a better understanding of the kind of support or action he was to take to help ease the boy. Being this close to Treize, being held by the man, his scent, and his warmth. It was all horrible and yet wonderful at the same time! This was so unlike the Treize he had always seen in his brief encounters with the man that had always given Wufei a reason to turn from him, even though he was attractive to him. The thought that Treize Khushrenada had taken him in for his own amusement was what he fell back on whenever he found his heart skipping a beat from staring into those sapphire eyes or when his thoughts strayed to the handsome man. He wanted Treize to let him go and yet, hold him closer. All his evidence to dislike this man was crumbling fast.

" Dragon? Wufei? " Treize spoke to the boy, his long quietness and trembling was making the man nervous. He cupped the boy's cheek to any reaction, " Wufei? "

Wufei came out of his ravine at the man's touch and leaned into the large, warm palm cupping his cheek, closing his eyes. He had to admit it now. He was attracted to Treize. Always had been and it wasn't fair, he mused, to think so low of the man as an excuse to push his feelings away. Treize had much nobility for making a home for unwanted teens, everyone who knew him seemed to honor him for all the good he had done and was. And Wufei had turned a blind eye to it because of his own ignorant fears. Had all Treize's teasing been done out of fondness to get him to open up because he knew what a rough life he had led? Not for amusement? Oh, his mother would be so ashamed of her son! Tears gathered under those dark lashes. As if Treize would ever want someone like him, even if the man found him attractive.

" Wufei? " Treize said when a tear ran down the boy's face. Treize may not know what his dragon was thinking, but he knew well enough that Wufei wasn't crying because he had held him, " Dragon? "

Wufei looked up at him before hanging his head. " I-I'm sorry. " And then the boy fled from the room. He didn't want Treize to see him cry and pity him. The boy was gone in a blur before Treize could react. And then it was too late.

" Dammit, dragon! " Treize gave a growl of frustration. He wanted to follow the boy and ask him what was the matter, but he had a feeling Wufei would only clamp up around him. Treize gave another growl of frustration. It wasn't even ten and he needed a stiff drink! And to talk to Zechs.
