It was such a joy to feel cold again. To feel anything at all!

A sleep head rose from the crock of his arm, looking blearily around. It was night. Well that was a thankful thing, daylight probably would have hurt.

His own hair was a bit of an enemy as he looked around, too tired yet to just push it aside. He probably would have gone face first into the sand.

A soft sound made him look down to his brother, sleepy green eyes blinking open for a second and seeing him. A soft smile crossed his face before he was once again asleep and gray.

A small movement made him turn his head to the left, seeing another bundle of sleeping brothers. One shifted and caused something to flash in the darkness. It looked like that rare metal, something the sun and coral had conspired to make, bright and strong. Another mop of color and he saw golden sunlight. The first bundle moved, covering the smaller one and letting the long plait fall loose. He was entranced by it, almost like a dragon to gold.

Allowing himself the treat he simply watched the two brothers breathe deeply and curl around each other in the warm night air.

Finally he settled down again, a small smile on his face. Onyx eyes blinked closed and the gray returned.

It was quiet now. So quiet. The others, they were all gone.

The Sealed Ones would never be freed here.

In that void of time and space two figures Willed and Made Happen.

Down on the tiny ball of dust brown and blue a small crack, a tumble of earth and a surge of water. Elements moved together, surging, changing.

When all was done a piece of the seabed had cracked and another surged. Now part of the ruined city was in the air, ruins of the dead city creating a cove where land and sea met.

Here they had a chance of being free.

It was not what they wanted.

But it was what could be done.

The figures looked sadly and the gray stone, wishing that the wilds would be free again.

Two pairs of sad eyes turned away and waited.

Quatre opened his eyes, sure that he had heard the gentle rustle of movement. The only thing he could see was the statue. For some reason he smiled, not entirely sure why but feeling it was appropriate.

The dream was in fading memory, but he managed to grasp the grains before they slipped entirely through his fingers.

He remembered enough. The important parts.

A soft chuckle went past his lips as he snuggled back into his brother.

It was nice to be right.

A swirl of water caught his attention above his head. Turning he managed to catch a glimpse of sleek black against the light on the surface.

Another flicker.

A touch on his foot. On his face. On his back.

It was like a fantastic game of tag melded with keep-away.

A flash of black right in front of his eyes before it flickered away like a dream butterfly.

Another touch to his back. A gentle tug on his braid.

Laughter burbled out where there shouldn't be air to carry it.

He was fascinated. Amazed.

A veil of glittering stars was right in front of his face, like a curtain of night that only just let the sun light through.

He didn't move for fear of making it flicker away again.

It didn't dash away this time. In just floated there.

Slowly, a tentative hand brushed against the glitter-silk.

It was so smooth, like silk and satin. And cool to the touch, strong and soft at the same time.

A child-like grin spread across his face in wonderment.

A flicker and it vanished.

He turned his head, trying to find it again when a cool hand slid over his eyes.

`Not yet...'

That voice, he could swear he knew it even if he'd never heard it. After a moment he gave a slight nod, staying as still as he could. He could feel the other's smile somehow.

He didn't fight it when a cool limb slipped around him, over his arms and belly, pulling him back towards his playmate while the other kept the gentle hand over his eyes. He could feel cool scales and smooth skin against his own. A slight shiver ran through at the cool feeling on his back.

A soft sigh came from the one holding him, a gentle tightening of the limb around his middle before it relaxed again, just holding him close.

A soft smile spread over his face as he curled towards him, rubbing the side of his head against the being's chest, happy even if he couldn't see the one that held him.

Somehow, it just felt right.

Duo woke to sunlight streaming in his eyes.

Two dreams.

One he was sure Quatre would remember with him.

And the other....

A grin nearly split his face.

And the other, he was sure, was just for him.

Thank you.

For letting me see the sun again.

The sea and the waves.

Thank you for the game.

I hope to do that soon in the waking world.

But for now this is enough.

Good dreams to keep me company.

I can wait.

In all the world
In all that lives
There is one thing truer than all
And that
Is the Pure heart
