Gundam Wing Fan Fiction ❯ Um, Untitled As of Now ❯ 2 ( Chapter 2 )
Sarrea and Regine stared at each other with wide eyes. Alone on the hill, without anyone else to turn to, they were very frightened. Having come from several hundred miles away on vacation, their families and other friends were somewhat out of reach.
"Regine? What the hell just happened?" asked Sarrea.
"I uhh…don't know. Maybe she was just practicing her magic tricks or something. You know. She liked magic tricks." It sounded lame, but it was all Regine could think of.
Sarrea grabbed onto that idea like a drowning man grabs a rope.
"Yeah! That's probably it. She was just trying to scare us. That's all."
Regine gave a shaky nod and stood up.
"Come on, let's go back to the hotel. By the time she comes back to scare us again, she'll be the only one on the hill."
Sarrea nodded and followed Regine back to their hotel. They changed into their swim suits and headed to the large outdoor pool, trying to calm themselves. Sarrea floated around on her back, breathing deeply to settle her jumpy, frightened mind. She saw Regine floating around nearby in her peripheral vision, and decided to stop floating. Sarrea stood up and made her way towards Regine. It was hard to walk through water, but suddenly Sarrea had a bad feeling, and she desperately pushed herself towards an unsuspecting Regine. It was too late. Regine gave a yelp as she disappeared, and Sarrea was left alone.
"Oh great. Now what do I do?" she said, nearly in tears.

Trowa watched Taara as she stirred.
"She's coming to," he called to Quatre.
Quatre was the only one of the five boys who could handle civilians very well, so it had been left to him to care for the girl. Quatre hurried into the room with a warm, wet washcloth in his hand. Taara's eyes blinked open, and she moaned softly. Quatre put the washcloth on her forehead.
"Welcome back. How are you feeling?" he asked.
"Wha?" she mumbled. "Who are you?"
"My name's Quatre. You fell through a portal and feinted, so I'm taking care of you," he answered.
Taara rubbed her eyes and sat up.
"Portal? What portal?" she said, confused.
"Umm…we're not really sure. We just saw it appear and you fell out onto Wufei. We were hoping you could tell us."
She gave him a look of confusion and shook her head.
Trowa sighed and headed for the other room, where Duo and Heero were watching Wufei. Wufei had woken a few minutes ago, and he was complaining loudly about how much his bruised body hurt. It wasn't exactly pleasant to have a person fall on you. Quatre looked up and watched Trowa leave, wishing someone else would help him with the girl. As Trowa disappeared, a sudden barrage of screams greeted Quatre's ears. First, a high-pitched, feminine scream, then the screams of four males, followed by another high-pitched scream. Taara perked up.
"That sounds just like Regine did when Sarrea jumped out of the closet and scared her," announced Taara.
"Regine?" said Quatre as he got up to investigate.
"My friend. I was sitting with her before I came here, I think."
"Come on, maybe you're right. Let's go see."
Quatre and Taara peered into the next room, and saw total chaos. In the middle of the room, Duo sat with his mouth wide open and watched Heero and Trowa trying to subdue a blonde girl in a bikini as she beat at them furiously with the only nearby weapon, a pillow. Wufei was shouting, the girl was screaming, Duo started laughing, and Taara gave a shout of joy.
"REGINE!" she cried.
The blonde girl turned around and ran towards the voice, tossing the pillow aside to hit Duo in the face.
"Taara? What are you doing here?" she asked as she ran into Taara's arms.
"I dunno. Ummm… would you mind letting go? I can't really breathe right now…"
Regine released her death grip on Taara.
"Sorry."
Heero and Trowa approached cautiously, and Wufei stopped shouting for a moment. Quatre stared in wonder at the two girls.
"Let me guess. She fell from a black hole, didn't she?" he asked the others.
"Yeah. Seems like we're having problems with those black hole things today, aren't we?" asked Duo. His attempt at a joke enraged Wufei all over again, and the room erupted into chaos once more. Duo used the pillow to hit Wufei, and Heero ran over to clamp a hand over Wufei's mouth.
"SHUT UP!" yelled Trowa, hopelessly.
Quatre sighed.
"Looks like it's going to be a long day."
Hours later, the boys and the two girls sat down for dinner and talked. Regine remembered much more than Taara did, and her information was quite helpful. From what she said, there was one more girl who was back in the year 2001. The girls had been sucked through a black tunnel and deposited into the year A.C. 195 for some unknown reason.
"A time machine?" mused Duo.
"Perhaps," said Quatre. "But why?"
No one was very certain. Regine suggested that they'd probably find out soon enough, so why worry? The others quickly agreed with her. Wufei glared sullenly at both girls and refused to talk. He thought that women shouldn't be allowed in his house, and he was especially angry with Taara for falling on him. A large purple bruise disfigured half of his face. Duo tried not to laugh when he looked at Wufei, but with Duo, it was a losing battle. Duo snickered and Wufei let off a long, loud chain of curses and stormed from the room.
"Was it something I said?" asked Duo, looking innocent.
"DUO! Learn some self-control, jeez!" said Quatre, exasperated. But even he couldn't help himself when he pictured Wufei's purple face. After giving Duo a serious face for about thirty seconds, he cracked up, followed by a snicker from Trowa and a smirk from Heero. The two girls glanced at each other and shrugged.
"Men," said Regine in a voice that dripped sarcasm. "They're just so immature." Taara started laughing uncontrollably as four men turned to glare at Regine, who promptly followed Taara's example and burst out laughing.
