~Wild Thang - Part 13~
That night Wufei slept on the couch after reassuring
Duo that he was allowed to wake him up for any reason
whatsoever. Relena bid him goodnight before
disappearing into the room across from him. Heero
also bid him goodnight before entering the room to his
left. Zechs waited until Wufei disappeared from sight
before he leaned down and took Duo's lips in a light
and chaste kiss.
"Oyasumi nasai." Zechs said in a low voice. "Pleasant
dreams."
Duo watched in a daze as Zechs retreated into his room
to his right. After a few minutes, Wufei dragged Duo
back inside.
"Are you all right?" Wufei asked, concerned.
"Hai. But why did Zechs put his mouth to mine?" Duo
asked, touching his lips in wonder.
Wufei grimaced, it was going to be a long night. Duo
waited for Wufei's answer to his question.
"When two people put their mouths together, it's call
a kiss. When they put their tongues inside the
other's mouth, it's called a french kiss." Wufei
explained.
"But what does it mean?" Duo whined.
"When who people kiss, it means that they like each
other. I think what Zechs was trying to say is that
he likes you in more than a friend. A kiss also has
various actions too." Wufei stated.
"Like what?" Duo asked.
"If a parent kissed their child like on the forehead
or their cheek, it means that they love them very much
or want to calm and comfort them. Lovers may do the
same to calm or comfort. If a person kissed another's
hand like at the knuckles, it usually means that they
have high respect for them. If someone considers
another person a family member, they too may kiss them
on the cheek." Wufei informed him.
"So Zechs likes me?" Duo asked, pondering it.
"So it seems." Wufei replied, grinning. "I think it
would be best to discuss that with him in the morning.
Now, however, you need your rest as do I. So go to
bed."
"Oyasumi nasai." Duo said, climbing into bed.
"Oyasumi nasai." Wufei replied, settling down.
Later that night, Wufei awoke to the sound of feet
scuffling at the door. Glancing at Duo's sleeping
form, Wufei prepared himself to encounter anyone who
dared to hurt the jungle boy. Sure it was annoying
trying to appease his curiosity, but his charm won him
over.
The door knob rattled a bit before the door opened to
reveal...
Zechs.
Wufei blinked at his surprise.
"What are you doing here in the middle of the night?"
Wufei hissed, keeping his voice down.
"I wanted to watch Duo sleep." Zechs replied.
Wufei looked at him funny.
"Yeah, I kinda got used to being cuddled up next to
him. So what!" Zechs replied softly. "Besides, I
have this bad feeling..."
"You are so gone on him it's not even funny." Wufei
snorted. "Now get back to your room before
Relena-sama finds out."
"I still don't see what you have against my sister.
But I shall go." Zechs replied, leaving the room.
"Scare me out of my wits will ya!" Wufei muttered.
"And all just to see Duo sleep. Geeze! What a love
sick fool!"
Then, another rattle of the door knob alerted Wufei.
If it was Zechs again...Wufei wouldn't be surprised.
The door opened to reveal a village member carrying
some sort of cloth in his right hand and a dagger in
his left.
Wufei, noting the danger, quickly and quietly snuck up
behind the person and knocked them out with a few
swift jabs to pressure points. Locating some rope,
Wufei tightly tied the person up so that escape is
nearly impossible. Wufei wondered if he should get
Zechs or not. He even wondered if he should wake Duo
up and informed him of his intruder. But one look on
the sleeping serene face made the decision for him.
He couldn't wake him up and he dared not leave the boy
alone with the invader while he got Zechs or Heero.
"Duo-san, you are too trusting for your own good."
Wufei commented.
Wufei left the intruder tied up and stayed up for the
majority of the night to ensure no other
interruptions.
