We still have no idea what’s going on down there. After the destruction of the Ark, Reach went haywire. Extreme radiation levels, pulses, you name it. This planet was supposed to be dead…
August 30th, 2552.
That’s when Reach fell to the Covenant. So many died down there. Including the SPARTAN II’s, with the exception of a handful. Dr. Halsey found some sort of Forerunner artifact in the old titanium mines. Now ONI wants to find more before the Covenant catch on to us. The damn Spooks. I got my men combing the entire friggin planet. I say leave it.
And of course, the Sangheili want in on it…
