The next day, everyone got a nice little shock to see the Sword of Judgement no longer in the clubhouse. With it now gone, many hugs and apologies were exchanged and peace finally restored. Once that had finished, the hams got together to take a break from all the camera play and whatnot. "Okay, I just got a question. Why are we doing this sort of thing again?" asked Kousi.

"Because it releases the stresses of the breeding season, duh." Taisho answered.

"Yeah, but it's starting to get pointless."

"How is it pointless?"

"Kou-kun's got a point though." said Holly. "In this sort of business, the people usually get paid to do this sort of thing."

"She's right." added Kururin. "I mean, what's the point of having all of this on film for, precious memories? Stuff that we can watch later on in life and laugh at? To make some silly video scrapbook of all of this?"

"Okay, let's try your approach for a moment. We start selling this stuff for other hamsters to watch, would you feel comfortable with that?" asked Taisho.

"I wouldn't mind." answered Hitomi.

"Of course you wouldn't, it doesn't matter to you anyway." said Jam.

"I'm raw-but-real, deal with it. Besides that, it seems that you hams forgot a very important thing to look into should we decide to do something like this."

"And what might that be?" the hams asked.

"Commission of course. Just as Holly-chan and Kuru-donno pointed out, humans do this and get paid for it, but exactly who will pay us for all of these shoots?"

"....Wow... I never thought that far ahead." said Holly.

"And since this is also deemed to some of us as 'sensitive material', who would you trust to distribute it?"

"Niji could distribute it." Hitomi answered. "Royalty always has money and-"

"Stop right there." Taisho cut her off. "Do you people really want to go through with all of this?"

"It would be nice to get a cut from all of this though." said Maido.

 

Many of hams agreed with this. Taisho was against it and Jam was neutral about it. "I still don't think this is wise." Taisho said.

"Only you and Jam are the ones who oppose this thought, Taisho." said Mahura.

"I am neither for, nor against this proposition, Mahu-chan." Jam corrected. "I'm simply weighing the possible outcomes here.

"Don't tell me you're scared to perfom for an audience now..." said Aibon.

"Nice comeback, hon, especially since you thought it was nasty a while ago."

All of a sudden, a flashing light appeared, then a star floated into the clubhouse. "What is that, is it a navi?" asked Holly.

"Nope, just a deity." answered Jam.

She's here. thought Hermana.

And with another flash of light, there she stood before the hams. "Hmmm, You-sama...." Jam trailed off.

"Who the hell is that?" Asked Holly. "Pardon my American..."

"It's Yousei." answered Tora-kun.

"Well, so you all are planning on going big with your 'breeding past time, huh?" Yousei began. "I do believe you need a bit of help."

"That's the truth, Yousei-sama." Hamtaro answered.

"So you wish to mimic what the humans do, eh? Well then, this deserves a new playing field...."

And with a wave of her wand, all of the hams were gone in a flash of light.

"Man. That was a bit too bright.... Hey, is everyone okay?" Hamtaro opened his eyes and looked around, it was bright at first, but his eyes soon adjusted to his new, but familiar surroundings. "Hamtaroo, there you are." Hamtaro turned around to see Ribon running towards him.

"Yup, we're ham-human again."

"Oui, yes. Ham-human again."

"Man, I gotta get used to that." said Panda.

"Can someone tell me what just happened?" asked Hitomi.

"We've turned Ham-human from what I believe." said Lapis."

After a while, the majority of the hams gathered together. Everyone took a look at themselves and each other. "So, this has happened before?" asked Holly.

"Oh yeah," Tora-kun answered. "I like it every now and then, but the switch can be confusing to first-timers."

"Yeah, some of us are still missing though." said Hamtaro.

"We'll all get here." said Taisho. "No worries."

 

"Man, was that interesting or what?" The hams turned to see someone they didn't even recognise. "So, here's everyody I take it." said Jam.

Many of the hams jumped back. "What the...." said Taisho.

Jam cocked his head slightly sideways, "I have something on me, don't I?"

"Um.... Does anyone know this guy?" asked Hamtaro.

Upon hearing this, Jam fell over. You've got to be kidding me.

Who is that? Kururin thought.

Many of the ham-human hams began walking away from Jam backwards. Lapis noticed the strange behavior of her friends, "Hamtaro, Taisho, is something wrong?" she asked.

"Okyoo..." Chibi said with a worried trail off.

Hermana broke away from Hitomi to walk towards Jam, but was instantly held back. "Oh no you don't." said Hitomi.

Hermana broke free anyway just as Lapis saw why everyone was backing away. She then gave a smile, "Oh, now I see what's going on here." Lapis said and took Hermana's hand.

 

Lapis and Hermana walked towards Jam, Hermana instantly hugging Jam's leg and stood next to him. "I always wondered what you looked like, and now I know." Lapis said.

"Does that mean you aren't afraid of me?" asked Jam.

"Afraid of you? No, I have no reason to be afraid of you."

Noppo finally joined up to the rest of the group. "Hey everyone, what's going down-" he cut himself off to look in front of him at our "stranger". "Oh, hey Jam, what's up?"

The rest of the group was shocked, "That's Jam?" they all asked in unison.

Jam shook his head. "Come on people, you did notice the headgear, right?" Noppo asked.

"Well..." the other hams were still worried.

"Well I'm glad SOMEONE finally knows me." said Jam.

"Well, I thought that was obvious."

"Hey... Jam... sorry about that." Taisho explained. "It's just that.... well.... you're black."

"Is that a problem?" asked Jam.

"Of course not, you're our friend.... even if we didn't notice you at first."

Mahura elbowed Taisho in the gut. "What he meant to say is that this is the first time we've ever seen you as a ham-human." she explained.

"Ham... human?" Jam asked a bit confused.

"A human ham-ham."

"Hmm, hu-ham huh..."

"And besides, we didn't really expect you to be black.... er, lemme try that again. The fact is that if we had a problem with you being black, we'd have the same problem with Holly being american... and we don't have any." Jam didn't say anything. "You see Jam, being ham-human is a whole new ballgame, so to speak. There's much to get used to here, and it's not like you're doing your normal movements. For example, you'd normally be gigging right now, but you're standing still."

"You act like I don't know how to stand still."

"Not what I meant. Noppo, help me out here."

"What Mahura means is that we've never seen a black ham-human before, so it's a bit of a shock for us." said Megane. "With Holly's and Ribon's exceptions, we've only really seen japanese ham-humans before we ever met you. Don't be mad at us, Jam... it's just a different spice to the rack."

"That's my cue. Okay. Well I better get used to my new surroundings here. I'll hit you guys up a little later." Jam said and with that, he took his leave.

 

After he left, Mahura smacked Megane. "Different spice to the rack? You could've used a different analogy than that." she said.

"Hey, at least I wasn't stuttering my words like Taisho was." said Megane.

"Hey, I just wanted to try and word it correctly." Taisho said with a sweatdrop.

"Yeah, nice work." Noppo said as he turned the page of his book. "Either way you were trying to explain it, the lot of you have quite some mending with our 'hu-ham' friend to do."

Niji saw this as the perfect opportunity. So, as a ham-human, Jam's popularity with the ladies has gone straight down the drain. To think, the one guy that all the girls adore is now ostercised from the group... Ha ha... now the door is open for me. he thought.
