Boss lead Bijou into the tall grass, knowing that it had a lot of cover and no one would find them, not even a certain Hamster. "How far are we going to go, Boss?" asked Bijou.

"We're almost there, Bijou. It won't be long now, I promise." Boss told her, then thought, I'm getting an adren'lin rush just thinking about how I'll court you my sweet Bijou.

Hiff-hiff, hiff-hiff, hiff-hif, Hamtaro was trying to get a lock onto Bijou's scent, but wasn't getting anywhere. I've got to find her. he thought to himself. Must keep.... Hel-lo.

Hamtaro caught a scent, but it wasn't Bijou's...

No, this scent belonged to Boss. I better follow this while it's still on the hiffer. Meanwhile, Boss had finally stopped and had Bijou where he wanted her. "Make zhees quick Boss," Bijou said. "I have to get back to Hamtaro."

"Quick she says. Okay then," Boss said, then circled to Bijou's back. "I'll get to my point."

Boss placed Bijou on all fours and mounted her, placing his arms around the french ham's waist. Bijou, of course, was taking off guard, "Sacré Bleu, what are you doing to me?!" Bijou cried.

"I'm going to have my." Boss answered.

"With who?"

"Vous."

"MOI?"

"OUI, VOUS!"

"Why, zhees eesn't like you?"

"Because I wanna be the lucky ham, not Hamtaro!"

"Boss, I-"

"If I can't have it, then I'll make sure no other ham gets too."

Bijou was inbetween rage and sadness, she wanted to cry, but didn't. "Zheese ham who's on my back," Bijou said, "eez not ze Boss I know and love."

"HUH?!" said Boss, ready to get those crépes of Bijou's.

"Zhe Boss I know and love would nevaire hurt me in any way. No matter how he felt, he wouldn't evaire do zhees. Vous, vous.... are not Boss, but a mean monster ham who wants to hurt whatevaire ham he meets. What eez your name?"

"It's me, Boss."

"Liar! Tell me your REAL name."

It finally hit him, Bijou was telling the truth. The Boss she knew would never do what he's done. He didn't want to admit that he was turning into a "monster ham" as Bijou said. What am I doing?! he thought. Bijou's right, I would never do this, not to hurt Bijou. I've been so obsessed with the fact of making Bijou my own girl-ham that I've changed into a scarier ham that I once was. Wait did she say 'The Boss she knew and loved?'

Hamtaro was just now getting here and saw Boss and Bijou in the tall grass. He even noticed Boss' current position on Bijou. Don't lose it, Hamtaro. There's probably a reason for this. Hamtaro thought. Maxwell said certain hams role-play when in heat. I guess Bijou can't wait for Friday either.

"Bijou, listen." Boss began, "I've been so enraged about hearing that you and Hamtaro will be breeding at the end of the week. It still burns me up inside, as well as it breaks my heart. I wanna' be the one who courts you, not Hamtaro."

"Boss, you..." Bijou trailed off.

"Yes?"

"Please get off of my back."

"You're right."

Boss dismounted Bijou, and to Hamtaro's relief, saw that nothing happened between them. Bijou went on. "I know you love me Boss, and I love you too."

"Really, you really love me?" Boss asked with an infatuate look on his face.

"Oui, oui, but not as a mate." Boss dropped to the ground. "I love you because you remind me of ze mentor I've always wanted. But, as much as I love and forgive you, you have to make things right with Hamtaroo." Bijou gave a slight blush. "Now I'll admit eet, when Maria and Laura said zey wanted to breed us, Hamtaro and I were very shocked by eet. What I mean eez, all of zees happened so fast, and as much as I wish we weren't, we must. Please understand."

"Now I feel bad that I almost killed Hamtaro today."

"You deed what?"

"Calm down, he's still alive, I... missed."

"We better get going, non?"

"...Uh, yeah."

"Hold it!"

Hamtaro appeared from hiding, still upset about what happened earlier. "Boss, isn't zhere something you want to say?" asked Bijou.

"Yeah, there is." Boss answered. "Hamtaro, sorry about ringing your neck, and sorry for trying to kill you, and sorry for trying to take Bijou's purity from you. I'm mad at you still, but I'll be able to get over it."

Hamtaro thumped his paw, "Hmf." he responded and lifted his nose.

"So does this mean we're friends again?" Hamtaro gave no response, "I guess you're still mad at me, well I can't blame you. But if not for me, forgive me for Bijou."

Hamtaro took a look at Bijou, who was ready to cry, then he turned to Boss, I don't know if I can't trust you. he thought.

Before he could answer, Maxwell ran into them, "Hamtaro, here you are." he said. "Here, drink this. It's a mixture of lemon, lime and peppermint extracts, drink it all up and it should help your voice. But be careful, it's very sour."

Hamtaro drank to liquid and gave that "bitter beer" face, "Man that's sour." he said.

Bijou ran up and hugged Hamtaro, "Yay, you can talk again, I'm so happy for you, Hamtaroo!" she cried.

After this was cleared up, the four hams joined up with the rest of the gang. "It's good to have your voice back, dude." said Stan.

"Yeah, It wasn't the same without you." said Howdy. "Now we can no longer have to worry about your silent ways and we can finlly get a peep out of you."

"Dude, that's not funny."

"I know, I need to work on my routine."

"Anyway, I have an announcement to make." said Bijou. "Friday will be a big day for me and I'm going to need all of your support."

"You know you have it, Bijou." said Sandy.

"I know, but I want to feel it. So on Friday afternoon when Hamtaro and I breed, I want all of you to be there watching and giving your support."

"He-keeee!" all the hams were shocked.

"Are you sure you want all of our friends to watch?" asked Hamtaro.

"Oui-oui." Bijou answered. "Eet means a lot."

"Well you can count me in, I'll totally be there." said Sandy.

"I'll be there too." said Pashmina.

"Okwee...?" went Penelope.

"Well... okay, you can come too."

"Well, I better go." said Cappy. "Kip and Sue should be on their way home so I'll be gettin on, bye."

"See ya, dude." said Stan.

Soon, everyone was heading back to their homes. Hamtaro and Bijou walked home hand in hand. That evening, Hamtaro and Bijou slept real close to each other for the next two nights. They were ready for their moment on Friday, it wasn only a matter of time now.
