Chapter One:

Prologue

 

 

 

 

A white owl was flapping about through the lighted sky, and its destination is known. The white owl has an envelope held in its beak. The envelope has a picture of an H on the seal. The destination of this letter is on the front of the envelope, and the destination is…

 

 

Chapter One:

The Letter

 

 

In a forest, next to a small village, two Jonin level ninja are fighting off a rogue ninja form the Hidden Mist Village. One of the two Jonin ninja looked about 6ft tall, with black spiky hair, wore a black cloak with a couple of red clouds on it, and he carried a huge sword with bandages over it. He is also a ninja of the Hidden Mist. He wears his headband on his forehead. This Jonin is named, Kisame Hoshigaki.

 

The other has long black hair, which comes down the side of his face, and the rest he has in a ponytail, and he has the same cloak as the first Jonin. This Jonin's name is, Itachi Uchiha.

 

The Rogue ninja is named Momoshiro of the Hidden Stone Village. He has on a torn white T-shirt, brown torn pants, a cloth that looked like a cape on his back, a mask over his mouth, and a headband on his arm. He has his weapons out ready for battle. His weapons are a spike ball on a chain in his right hand, and a katana in his left hand.

 

“We finally found you, Momoshiro,” Kisame said. “We've been looking for you for three days now.”

 

“We're turning you in,” Itachi said, he and Kisame getting in a fighting stance.

 

“Fat chance, you two are not fast enough to even scratch me,” Momoshiro said, He started to spin his spike ball.

 

“You don't know who you're dealing with,” Kisame said. “We are the strongest members of the Akatsuki. People all over send problems they have, like taking care of punks like you, and we happily take the job.”

 

Momoshiro tossed the spike ball in their direction with all his strength. Itachi and Kisame jumped out of the way, and metal ball made crater. Kisame takes the large sword, Sharkskin, on his back and cut the chain with ease.

 

“Huh, but I don't see any edges on your blade,” Momoshiro gasped as a drop of sweat ran down his face. “How could you cut the chain that easily?”

 

Kisame smiles. “Do you want to find out?” Then he lunges at the Stone Village ninja, and slashes his sword at him. Momoshiro guards Kisame's blade with his own. Momoshiro's weight starts being over powered by Kisame's. Momoshiro is now on one knee, trying not to give in to Kisame's power. Then suddenly, Kisame pulls back his sword, and cut Momoshiro's shoulder. Blood is rushing down his arm, and seeping into his clothing.

 

“What the hell?”

 

“See, my blade doesn't slice,” The bandages at the tip of his blade are shredded, and the sword looks like as if it has thousands of razor sharp teeth. “It cuts you to ribbons!!”

 

Itachi was suddenly beside Momoshiro, and he kicked him into a tree as hard as he could. Momoshiro tried to get up, but Itachi was standing in front of him again. Sweat was now running down his face. Itachi closed his eyes, and then opened them again. His eyes are now red. His Sharingan is now activated.

 

“Tsukuyomi”

 

Momoshiro looked like he was hypnotized by Itachi's eyes. In a second or two, he suddenly fainted.

 

“Heh, heh, way to go, Itachi,” Kisame said as he walked up to him. Kisame then takes a rope, and ties up Momoshiro. “Well, let's get going. The Anbu can take care of the rest.”

 

They leap away, leaving Momoshiro's body behind.

The white owl was now flying over its designated location, and it dropped the envelope. The envelope floated down, and slips through a gap between a cave opening and a giant boulder blocking the opening.

 

Hidan, another member of the Akatsuki, with silver hair, and has the right side of the uniform torn off the right part of his arm and shoulder. He carries a three bladed scythe on his back. He was walking past the entrance when the envelope lands on his head.

 

“What the hell?”

 

He takes the envelope and examines it. He then saw that it was another mission for them to do. “Another one? Itachi and Kisame just got back from a mission ten minutes ago.” Hidan sighed. “Oh well, this goes to Pein.”

Hidan was walking up to a desk. He hands the envelope to a woman behind the desk. She was a member of the Akatsuki too. “Another mission, Hidan?”

 

“Yes, Konen,” Hidan said. He then walked away, leaving Konen to give the envelope to Pein, the leader of the Akatsuki. Konen enters Pein's office, and puts the envelope on his desk. On Pein's desk, there were stacks of files. Think of Tsunade's desk, only neater. (Yes, Tsunade's the Hokage.)

 

“We have another mission, sir,” Konen said.

 

Pein has spiky orange hair, and he has his nose and ears pierced. He opens the envelope and reads it. “Get Itachi and Kisame in here, now.”

“You're sending us on another mission? But we just got back,” Kisame said.

 

“I know you two just arrived from a different mission, but the client for this mission requests that we sent our strongest members, and those members are you two,” Pein said folding his arms.

 

Kisame sighs. “Man, this really bites.”

 

“How long will we be gone,” Itachi asked.

 

“Yeah, on the last mission, we were gone for three days. How long are we going to be gone for this mission?”

 

“The client sent this letter from a far away location. And the mission, by the looks of it, will take you a few months to complete,” Pein said.

 

“A few months,” Kisame's mouth dropped.

 

“Maybe, even the whole year,” Pein finished.

 

Both of their eyes widen at this. “You got to be kidding!”

 

“You don't have to leave right away. You can go and visit your families if you want before your departure,” Pein said as he leans back in his chair.

 

Kisame sighs again. “Well, I don't have a family to visit. And if I did, the Hidden Mist Village is too far from here. So, I'll just go with Itachi to the Hidden Leaf Village since its closer. And besides I would like to see that little runt, Naruto again. He loves to hear about the missions we go on, since he's not even a ninja yet, and still in the academy.”

 

Pein nods his head. “You two may depart as soon as you are through visiting.”

 

Both Itachi and Kisame nod their heads.

 

“Yes sir!”
